Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

62: Chapter 23 Extreme Desire!

[Seeking Collection]_1 62: Chapter 23 Extreme Desire!

[Seeking Collection]_1 As an outstanding employee in the second workshop of the ‘factory’, Dateng once received commendations for his work.

But for the past few days, he has not been in a good state.

He’s been making mistakes at work and even showed up half an hour late this morning.

The shift before him had to cover him for 30 minutes, causing everyone to mumble complaints.

But Dateng still seemed lost in thought.

Of course, as a worker who had promised the factory manager and received a ‘performance fee’ of twenty thousand, he felt terrible for staging that scene of conversation with Little Li.

Even though the factory manager guaranteed that Little Li was fine and just unconscious.

But what if…What if Little Li is actually dead and knows what I’ve done from the underworld, would he blame me?

I should not have taken those twenty thousand!

“Listen, something is happening outside!”

Suddenly a worker yelled, Dateng was startled out of his daze.

Sounds like firecrackers bursting outside along with some screams could be heard.

“What’s happening, is it the police?

I told you this place isn’t good, we’re all going to get arrested, what a mess!”

The assistant on the same post as Dateng started to yell and curse.

“Though we were all fooled into working here, if this here is a drug factory, even light sentences would be several years for each one of us.”

The workers in the workshop became extremely tense, none of them were fools.

The mysterious operations of this factory and its irregular management style gave them a vague concept that the factory was probably involved in illegal activities.

But in pursuit of profits, these workers kept quiet and carried on, until incidents of giant insects biting people happened.

Some people could not bear the mental pressure and quit.

Before achieving his objectives, Northeast Wild Tiger naturally wouldn’t let them leave.

So he found Dateng in the middle of the night, and with threats and promises, staged the ‘phonecall’ incident the next day.

Now there seemed to be sounds of gunshots outside, and Dateng felt he couldn’t sit still.

“Everybody, hear me out!” he shouted, seemingly bursting from the daze of the past few days.

Everyone turned around to look at him, who was Little Li’s best friend in the factory.

All had doubts about Little Li’s possible death, but Dateng already confirmed it over the phone, thus creating a half certain half doubtful atmosphere.

“Actually the person on the phone was not Little Li at all, it was all the factory manager’s doing!

I’m sorry!” Dateng’s voice choked, tears sliding down his cheeks.

Click, click…

While the workers were making a ruckus, a fist-sized gigantic black mosquito is quietly crawling into the workshop through the pipe!

Jia Yan, in the pipeline, heard the commotion outside!

A fight started in the workshop as well!

“This will suit me better, easier for me to act amidst chaos.”

Jia Yan crawled more quickly outwards.

At the end of the pipeline, there was still a viewing outlet.

Reaching there, he quietly raised his head and peeked out.

This workshop side seemed much bigger than the other side, and the workers all wore protective suits, giving a somewhat high-tech feel.

But the vulgar language and unprofessional actions of those workers revealed their amateurishness, making them more like amateurs at a rural workshop.

There were dozens of people in the workshops and it seemed like there were more people downstairs.

Jia Yan saw that a ‘full-scale fight’ was taking place in the workshop!

A group of people were ganging up and beating a man who was not fighting back!

“Can people be bullied like that even inside a factory!” Jia Yan was appalled.

Of course, he didn’t know the inside story, he merely felt that this situation would make things even more convenient for him.

“The smell in the air is too good.

The scent of the purple-red liquid medicine pervades the air.

I’m sure I’ve found the right place.

However, by merely breathing in this air, I can sense something being elicited in my body.

Could it be due to the massive quantity of purple-red liquid medicine?”

“Or are there some other secrets?”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes sparkled, all along he had sensed that Northeast Wild Tiger must have been hiding some secrets.

Otherwise how could someone who wasn’t a trained medical professional have produced the so called ‘antimicrobial peptides’?

Because Jia Yan did not know the exact characteristics of this so-called ‘antimicrobial peptide’, which is the purple-red liquid and its benefits to human beings.

But for some species of organisms, it’s a highly effective gene mutation agent!

With the facilities and equipment Northeast Wild Tiger had, it was impossible to research this level of substance.

Or rather, Jia Yan doubted whether any organization in the entire world could come up with such a medicine.

If they could and the cost was justifiable, it could bring about transformation to the entire world!

Of course, many people could not accept eating giant centipedes, but if the world had changed, you would have no option.

But Northeast Wild Tiger neither produced the medicine in large scale nor made the existence of this liquid public.

So there’s only one possibility, that’s the production of this medicine has certain limitations!

Jia Yan watched the workers outside fighting, without a moment’s delay, the man who wasn’t fighting back also started to fight back!

His protective suit was torn apart in two blows, obviously a substandard product.

The fight grew even fiercer!

“Dateng, you jerk!

Li was your best friend from the village, you know!

How dare you do something like this!

It’s alright to fool us, but your best friend might already be dead and you dared to do that, you know how cold-hearted that is, you beast!

You are a beast, right!”

“You scumbag, trying to get us killed.

If you told us earlier I would have left, now the police is here, what do we do!

Tell me what do we do!”

The workers were fighting while giving reasons for it.

This style of fighting was a novelty for Jia Yan.

“However, spectating isn’t my primary goal, my main goal is still to find the location of the purple-red liquid medicine!”

Jia Yan looked around, sensing for the place where the attracting scent was the most intense.

The mosquito’s ‘olfactory’ organ are the two slender antennae on top of its head.

At this moment, Jia Yan moved his antennae and finally locked onto a direction!

“Over there, that area attracts me most!”

Jia Yan’s compound eyes brightened.

He seemed to sense in the central area a deep-rooted giant boiler that extended all the way to the basement of the first floor, attracting him the most.

He spread his wings and flew towards there directly!

“Mos…

mosquito…”

The man being surrounded and attacked in the greenhouse pointed at the flying Jia Yan, struggling to raise his hand and point at the giant mosquito.

“Damn your mosquitoes!” Some of the workers had actually noticed Jia Yan too, but for them, mutant creatures were not unfamiliar.

They would normally fight against them, but right now they were full of rage, and their priority was to beat up the greenhouse first!

“You men, don’t blame me for fighting back!

I said sorry and you guys still hit me!”

The guy in the greenhouse was young.

He initially wanted to make up for his mistakes, but after getting punched a few more times, the fiery youth in him couldn’t help but reveal itself.

At first, he was just shoving lightly, but now he punched a worker right in the face.

Suddenly, the scene in the factory became more lively!

Jia Yan did not conceal his form; he felt something extremely attractive in the central boiler!

Even if some of these workers chanced upon him and attempted to chase him down, he could rely on his flexible speed to retreat back into the corridor.

Jia Yan wasn’t sure how long the chaos in the two workshops would last, but once the Northeast Wild Tiger and others resolved the trouble caused by the male university student outside, they would definitely come to the workshop to resolve the disorder.

By then, he couldn’t expect the workers to fight the Northeast Wild Tiger, after all, the Northeast Wild Tiger and the others had guns.

Even if the workers wanted to resist, they didn’t have the guts!

So, the current chaos wouldn’t last for much longer.

“The purple-red liquid medicine?

Could it be that when the amount of it is large enough, it could attract me in such a way?

Or is it something else…”

He stared at the huge metal kettle in the center of the workshop.

On the surface of this kettle, there was very clear text from the Wa Kingdom.

‘CQ-0002’, along with a string of Wa text that Jia Yan couldn’t understand.

It was the contents of this that attracted him.

Jia Yan was not just a real insect that was merely faithful to its instincts.

He was an insect with a human soul and at this point in his flight, his mind was thinking!

“No!

If I were to say that the purple-red liquid medicine attracts me, then the level of attraction I’m feeling right now is multiplied by over ten times!

I don’t believe that the quantity of the purple-red liquid medicine can increase tenfold the attraction!

What is really inside?”

Jia Yan was even more curious.

In a matter of seconds, he had flown in front of the central boiler.

He realized that he couldn’t get in.

Well, if a boiler could be easily penetrated by a mosquito, it would be strange if the boiler didn’t explode.

He might not be able to get into the boiler, but it doesn’t mean he couldn’t get something!

Jia Yan noticed that outside of the boiler was a metal thing shaped like a faucet.

At this moment, this thing was slowly dripping a deep black liquid of unknown origin!

The liquid it dripped fell into a metal pool beneath it, approximately 30 cm squared, forming a dark pool only a few centimeters deep, like ink…

Bang!

Bang, bang!

Bang, bang, bang!!

When Jia Yan saw this dark black liquid dripping one drip at a time!

He only felt that his tube-shaped heart suddenly pumped violently!

The voice inside him said…

Desire!

Utmost, utmost desire!

The purple-red liquid may not be able to induce his third mutation, but this black liquid definitely could!!

What exactly is it?!

This question came to Jia Yan’s mind at the same time.

Jia Yan discovered himself flying instinctually at the fastest possible speed towards the pool of black liquid.

To be continued.
