Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

57: Chapter 18 Such a Big Mosquito!【Second Update】_1 57: Chapter 18 Such a Big Mosquito!【Second Update】_1 “Instructor Lin, there are three buildings ahead!”

Among the four of them, the male student’s eyesight was the best, spotting the three factory buildings from a distance.

When the rest of them took in the three buildings through their binoculars, they all fell silent for a moment.

“The three of you should look for a way back.

I’ll proceed alone to investigate,” Instructor Lin suggested.

Up to this point, everything was just based on his analysis; the reality could not match his predictions.

But once they saw those three buildings, they all realized that there was a high probability that Instructor Lin’s guesses were right!

Therefore, what dangers could the figures in those three buildings pose?

This is a question they all had to consider.

“Instructor Lin, I chose to stay.

As someone working in the media industry, I need to have some adventuring spirit to get good news,” Teacher Chen from the Media Institute said with a smile, showing his determination.

“Professor, I will stay too.” Males usually possess a spirit of adventure, particularly in situations that are akin to those seen in adventure films.

This scene fired up the blood of the Life Academy student.

Without considering the giant mosquito bite swellings on his arm, he decided to stay.

Seeing those three looking at her, Ye Tongyu hesitated for a while.

Oh God, she had only hoped to avoid her classmates at the college, especially TingTing who always pressured her.

As for dealing with enormous creatures, how could a girl possibly be interested in that?!

Who could have imagined that this would escalate into a mental and physical struggle against mysterious forces?

This shocked her so much it felt like her eyes were about to pop out.

But go back alone?

Ye Tongyu, who had no prior experience of outdoor life, pointed out that she had simply blindly followed the group up to this point.

If she were to return alone, it was possible she might starve to death on the way.

“I’ll stay with everyone.” The girl bitterly decided to stay.

“All right, let’s get closer and take a look,” Instructor Lin suggested.

The three teachers and students, filled with enthusiasm, plus one girl who wasn’t really willing, got closer to the factory.

At that moment, they were spotted by a hidden camera installed on the top of a tree in the forest as they were getting closer.

“Boss, there’s some movement outside.

Four unidentified individuals are approaching our factory!”

A voice from the monitoring room sounded out from Northeast Wild Tiger’s radio.

“Hm?”

Northeast Wild Tiger was in his office, overwhelmed by the recent events.

His aim was to get half a month’s goods produced urgently and devote a batch of the Purple Potion produced to some significant figures for their support.

This would not only cover up the deaths in the factory, but might even convert this grey area factory into a fully legal operation.

Northeast Wild Tiger would continue to maintain actual control here, and nobody else would dare to lay a claim to it ever again!

Northeast Wild Tiger had exhausted all his efforts to reach this point.

He’d even hired the strongest assassin in the country, ‘Addicted’, and spread word about it to create a powerful deterrent.

But just when things were becoming urgent, not only were the workers causing trouble, but the number of mutant insects was also increasing.

Things were already problematic, and now he got word from his subordinates that someone was approaching his factory?

Northeast Wild Tiger knew these couldn’t be the patrolling staff from nearby institutions because he’d taken care of that long ago.

His subordinates wouldn’t report their presence to him either.

“Where are they now?

I’ll bring some men down,” said Northeast Wild Tiger, standing up from his office chair.

He then strode out of his office!

Not only Northeast Wild Tiger, but also Jia Yan, who was hidden among the trees waiting for an opportunity, had noticed humans approaching from afar!

Mosquitoes could sense carbon dioxide exhaled from a long distance.

The more exhausted and weak the person, the more swiftly they’d exhale carbon dioxide, attracting more mosquitoes.

So, if you think your body attracts mosquitoes, or your blood type does, you might be mistaken.

There’s no medical evidence supporting the blood type attraction; it’s likely your irregular breathing patterns that are attracting them.

Jia Yan sensed the four humans who were several meters away and quietly made himself even more concealed.

He knew that the investigative squad he’d been waiting for two days had finally arrived.

Now, it was just a matter of seeing whether they could cause any chaos in the factory and give him the opportunity to sneak in and regain the purple-red liquid medicine!

“Instructor Lin, there’s a camera!”

The sharp-eyed male student, upon seeing the hidden camera tucked away inside the leaves, alarmingly warned everyone!

All four of them were taken aback, but Instructor Lin quickly regained his composure.

He looked at the three towering buildings ahead and said solemnly: “It seems we are about to meet the host.”

The group stopped in their tracks and stood their ground.

“What is happening…” Ye Tongyu stood in the middle of the group, everyone else seemingly ready to sacrifice themselves, leaving her nearly in tears.

Sure enough, after a while, the massive doors of the not-so-distant building slowly began to open.

Neither of them noticed any sign of a road outside the gate; it was evident that the gate had not been opened for an unknown amount of time.

The rusty hinge emitted harsh grinding noises.

A tall lad, leading seven or eight fierce-looking robust men, walked out from inside the gate!

Jia Yan, hiding among the leaves, was quietly watching this unfold.

Then he thought to himself.

“It has started…

Let’s see how much chaos these four can create!”

Northeast Wild Tiger had just stepped out the gate when he saw the four men and women standing in a tight formation, ready for a battle.

However, he had seven or eight burly men on his side so there was no way they could feel threatened by this polished party of men and women.

He quickens his steps, advancing towards the four individuals!

The subordinates behind him start following one by one.

“Don’t be afraid, they won’t dare lay a finger on us,” Instructor Lin reassures the three people standing close to him.

He surveys the seven or eight people across from him.

The tall youth leading the group must be the so-called leader, he wonders if he is the person in charge of the building.

If that’s the case, they can subtly probe their purpose and motives by speaking directly with the person in charge.

The four of them stand in one place, while the Northeast Wild Tiger and his gang stand not too far away.

“Who are you four?!

This is a state key research base, leave immediately!” one of the Northeast Wild Tiger’s minions becomes the first to challenge them.

A research facility?

At this, Instructor Lin raises an eyebrow, then settles on an idea.

This person is definitely lying because he should know what a research facility is.

Since he doesn’t, this place certainly isn’t any kind of research facility.

But, since they claim it’s a ‘research institute’, it allows him, to some extent, to make an educated guess that this place has something to do with the weird incidents of abnormally large biological creatures!

“We’re sorry, we’re just hikers who got lost in the mountains for a few days.

Can we rest here for a bit?

Do you have any diarrhea medication?

This kid started with diarrhea yesterday, and he’s nearly passed out now,” Instructor Lin points at his male student.

That student is quick-witted; he immediately pretends to be unwell.

The Northeast Wild Tiger gazes at these refined-looking individuals, who do indeed look like they’ve been wandering outdoors for several days.

It seems plausible that they might actually be straggling hikers…

“We don’t have any medication here.

You just continue in the direction of that mountain.

Walk about 10 or more kilometers, and you’ll be out of the deep forest.

Hurry up and leave!” He points at the distant deep forest, locking eyes with Instructor Lin as he speaks.

“Oh, I see.

Thanks a lot.” Just then, Instructor Lin noticed the ruthlessness leaking from the Northeast Wild Tiger’s eyes.

He concludes that he has miscalculated.

This place is definitely dangerous!

The man who was staring back at him, he is absolutely a killer!

“Let’s go,” Instructor Lin takes the lead, walking back the way they came from.

He decides to halt this risky reconnaissance for now.

Even though the other three people are somewhat confused, they turn around and follow Instructor Lin.

“These aren’t hikers!

Capture them all!”

The Northeast Wild Tiger orders, his voice echoing through the forest!

“Run!”

Instructor Lin yells, and they all sprint forward!

On hearing the Northeast Wild Tiger’s voice, all the four people are shocked and split up to flee.

However, the Northeast Wild Tiger’s minions, each well-built, run much faster than the four people from the survey team.

“These guys don’t stand a chance!” Jia Yan, watching the situation from atop the trees, is taken aback.

The four are captured effortlessly.

Unless things get out of hand, he really can’t intervene.

“I must go down and help these four!”

Anyway, people on the Northeast Wild Tiger’s side are already familiarized with these giant creatures.

And these four teachers and students are here primarily to investigate the giant creatures.

Therefore, his sudden appearance shouldn’t shock them too much…

His captors probably won’t target him exclusively since he’s just an ‘abnormal animal’ they’ve gotten used to.

“How can I get a second-to-none opportunity to encounter the purple-red liquid medicine if I don’t take risks?!

I have to take this risk!”

After working through these thoughts, Jia Yan gives himself a stern pep talk!

Then, silently, from the top of the trees, he flaps his wings and takes flight…

One of the Northeast Wild Tiger’s men is running towards a middle-aged woman called Teacher Chen.

Since she’s middle-aged and not very agile, she is soon caught up to!

“You can’t escape!” The man reaches out to grab Teacher Chen’s shoulder.

Just then, at this critical moment, a huge mosquito – the size of an adult’s fist, and with wings that span over a few tens of centimeters – swiftly sweeps across in front of the man’s eyes!

“What’s that?!” The man jumps in surprise, and promptly loosens his grip from Teacher Chen’s shoulder.

“Such a huge mosquito!”

As soon as he sees the creature that startled him, his face goes pale.
