Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3588  Improvement in Karma Laws

”Yes.” Tiaʼs lips curled as she hid her face over Myriaʼs side bosom, ”My Karmic Guardian Physique tickles with how you were wrapping me around through a karmic thread.”

”…?”

Myria raised her brows. Were these two communicating through Karma Laws?

”Is that how you felt?” Davis appeared contemplative, ”I see. I see…”

It seems like he could contact, in this case, violate people through Karma Laws, although only someone like Tia could feel it. He flicked his finger and took back the karmic thread he had wrapped around Myria.

She didnʼt react to it at all.

ʼPhew… forming karmic threads is draining…ʼ

Davis heaved a breath. These were similar to the karmic threads that he would view through Fallen Heaven but he created and superimposed his own thread around it like he trying to take control over it.

Its practical uses were unknown. He obviously wasnʼt going to try it on his women but he wondered if it even worked, so he used it on Tia and Myria to see their reactions as he knew they could withstand if harm somehow befalls them.

”…”

However, Davisʼs smile froze as he saw Myria… unexpectedly pout.

She appeared like she felt left out, causing him to chuckle as if he were endangered.

”Myria, I reached Level One Abstruse Intent in Karma Laws recently, so I tried to check my gains…”

”Fmph~”

Myria turned her head away, causing Davis to gawk.

”Myria, I-”

Then began the Divine Emperor of Deathʼs journey to quell the mysterious heart of the Divine Saintess that moved between maturity and childish as it pleased, making him understand that with vulnerability and need also comes possessiveness.

It was the first instance of jealousy he had ever seen from Myria, so it made him more than happy.

Davis wiped the smirk off his face as he looked into the distance.

There was no sign of the Time Divergent, so he believed it was safe to assume that he fully left and didnʼt commit suicide to go back in time. Even if he did, Davis doubted it branched into a different timeline, considering the taboo restrictions heavens or the universe placed on time.

He had also seen his own other timeline through Fallen Heavenʼs powers, but that was his life, which was supposed to be, and not any other ventures, so he imagined that he wouldnʼt be able to repeat that again.

His fate had changed and continues to do so enormously, and the future was not something Fallen Heaven could see. Otherwise, it wouldʼve seen what had happened in the last two encounters he had with Kronos Alistair.

Since it didnʼt see it, he felt that it made sense that it only knew the starting and the end, which were important nodes in fate that decide oneʼs trajectory of destiny.

Davis took a deep breath, feeling himself receive more and more insights into Karma Laws.

Standing up, he returned to Ghostly Crow Clanʼs City and dealt with the heated higher-ups who apparently wanted to kick him out but lacked the courage. He didnʼt even have to do anything other than show up, as they had seen his true body appear while fully unleashing its undulations, so they must know by now his true prowess wasnʼt what it seemed to be.

They now speculated that he took the Fire Phoenix Clan down with his own strength, which made Davis almost laugh.

”Seriously— you saved us again~”

Nyoran shook her head, not knowing what to say to this man who continues to be of much help to her and by extension, even the Ghostly Crow Clan.

However, it doesnʼt seem like the higher-ups admitted that he saved them since they were yapping and that they could have taken care of the Time Divergent by themselves. Nonetheless, Queen Nadija managed to send them away.

”Master~”

Mira jumped and landed on his shoulder before turning to look around at Nyoran and Queen Nadija.

”That was fun. Letʼs play again~”

”…”

Queen Nadija and Nyoran wryly smiled, while Davis didnʼt want to know how Mira bullied the two of them when he was dealing with Kronos Alistair.

”No need to mention it. I will help if I deem I need to. If I donʼt, then Iʼll abandon you like you donʼt exist. And as I said before, the Time Divergent will not touch my people, and my allies, which includes you, Queen Nadija and by extension, he wouldnʼt trouble the Ghostly Crow Clan either, so rest assured.”

”Divine Emperor of Death, I donʼt know how I should thank you. Please accept my measly bow that wouldnʼt be able to reach up to the goodwill you have shown us, Ghostly Crows~”

Queen Nadija bent her head all the way until it was over her waist level while having her hands cupped. She was extremely grateful since it seemed that the Time Divergent came for her.

If the Time Divergent does break his word, Davis will come to know through the karmic connection they share over the covenant, so he is not worried if Queen Nadija will be harmed.

Nyoran smiled as she glanced at the two of them. In her eyes, they looked good together under the shining sky, making her imagine they would look fantastical under the moonlit night.

Davis nodded before he turned to look at Nyoran.

”Let me know when youʼre ready. One of my people or I will come to pick you up, and if you need help, donʼt hesitate to contact me.”

”I will.”

Nyoran nodded. She had already shared a messaging talisman with him, but out of respect, she hadnʼt thought of using it as she didnʼt want to be indebted anymore. However, she was starting to understand that her life was no longer hers.

After all, if she did become an Emperor-Tier Beast, she will owe it all to him and subsequently, even her own life as that kind of debt couldnʼt be settled.

She had been Queen Nadijaʼs follower, but now, she practically considered herself the Divine Emperor of Deathʼs loyal follower, willing to shed her life for him, much less her feathers.

However, she didnʼt say anything, keeping it in her heart.

Despite her calm expression, she was feeling excited at the prospect of an Emperor-Tier Beast. To any magical beast, that was a deal that they wouldnʼt be able to turn down unless they learned they had something more they valued.

Davis soon left after explaining a few more things about the Time Divergent as he reassured them.

He left under the stumped gazes of the crows, including Rea Tyriel, and headed towards the Cherryweave Family in the Southern Divide, intending to give a reply to the hundred letters that Celestial Fairy Aila Cherryweave sent.

But he had just left the Ghostly Crow Clanʼs Prefecture when Master Deathseeker appeared before him.
