Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3556  Making Sure It Is Safe

”Calypsea…”

Lea looked into the distance from a tower on top of the city walls. The direction she was facing was towards the west, where Davis left to go see Saintess Lunaria.

She looked a bit worried, but suddenly, she couldnʼt fathom what she was worried about. She felt like she had seen something as vague as a black silhouette, which Calypsea then chased after.

Was it a ghost?

She couldnʼt help but wonder as she recalled the words Clara uttered.

ʼBegone…?ʼ

That was truly something someone would say to a ghost when they were trying to chase it away.

But did ghosts truly exist?

As she was wondering, she sensed Calypsea returning back, and when she was finally in her sight, she smiled lightly as she saw Calypsea was on Davisʼs flying boat, joyfully popping a new fiery candy stemming from annihilative heavenly flames into her mouth.

At that point, Lea also suspected that Calypsea had done something to obtain this kind of reward. Or was he doting on her?

She wasnʼt sure.

”Welcome back~”

Nonetheless, she welcomed Davis with a smiling face before turning to look at a crimson-haired woman with an interested smile.

”This is…?”

She wondered where Myria was, but Myria, who was now Gilda Zenflame, blinked at this unbelievable scene. Even one of her own sisters werenʼt able to recognize her, making her wonder if this would work on Ellia as well.

”Oh yeah…”

Davis totally forgot.

As the one who used the technique, Myria was still Myria to him, even her appearance but to everyone else, everything from her appearance to her mannerisms were different. It would be ridiculously difficult to see through the disguise.

But just before he could lift the Karmic Impersonation on her, Myriaʼs hand touched him as she sent a soul transmission.

”Letʼs see how far this works, especially on Ellia, who has a vague soul connection with me. A chance like this wouldnʼt come again. Besides, we donʼt know if they are still here…”

”…”

Davis considered for a moment before he nodded, ”Have fun.”

”…?”

Lea blinked before she saw Davis leave without saying much.

What was ʼhave funʼ supposed to mean?

Nonetheless, as the eleventh wife, she had the dignity and duty to entertain the guests who visited their home. Since the other party was a female, then it was all the more optimal for her to show her around.

”You are…?”

”Not-Gilda Zenflame.”

”Notgilda Zenflame…? Thatʼs a peculiar name, but since you are from the Fire Phoenix Clan, itʼs perfect. Let me show you around.”

”No, you come with me. We need some help to scour the grounds of the city. Calypsea, help us here.”

”Yes!”

Calypsea answered with delight, causing Lea to be shocked.

Who was this woman from the Fire Phoenix Clan?

She didnʼt know Calypsea knew who Gilda Zenflame was because Davis had called her Myria many times while returning, so she just imagined that Myria was in disguise. To her, oneʼs outer appearance didnʼt matter as long as she knew who they were.

The next few hours were spent scouring the whole city for the Divine Inquisitors from the Reincarnation Dimension.

Tia was the main character here.

Except for her, none knew who they were searching for, as their only command was to search the city with utter focus.

”Big brother, thereʼs no sign of any foreign entities… you can trust me on this…”

Tia had run her divination three times and the last one was performed through Davisʼs adamance as he wanted to be thorough.

”…”

Davis was silent.

He gazed at Tia, knowing she was telling the truth, but the Divine Inquisitors were from the Reincarnation Dimension. The artifact they possessed was more than enough proof for him.

Even if they were not present at the moment, it wouldnʼt be strange for them to appear in the near future without any warning whatsoever.

He was wondering what to do as even Tia admitted to failing to predict this scenario.

”Big brother, we cannot divine their arrival, but we sure can know if theyʼre here or not.”

”How would you know that?”

Davis raised his brows at Tia, causing her to purse her lips.

”I donʼt know. Just a hunch as one of these techniques I have in my physique is supposed to find foreign entities not belonging to the living realm. My Karmic Guardian Physique was also at slight unease, so as soon as I saw who the guest was, I had Clara come up since I had a feeling that she might be able to do something to do about it…”

”…”

Hearing Tiaʼs explanation, Davis couldnʼt help but smile wryly.

Hunch…? Unease…? Had a feeling?

Instincts?

His Tia sure used a lot of vague terms to settle her explanation, like she had plot armor from the heavens, but he had no choice but to believe her, and he was willing to believe her.

He couldnʼt imagine the amount of shenanigans her other self and three others had to face in order to be here today in the form of wisdom. Perhaps they had even invaded the Reincarnation Dimension in order to…

Davis shook his head.

Thinking about such things was useless.

He was finally at ease, and his city and mansion were safe, but most importantly, his family was safe.

He reached out his hand, patting Tiaʼs head.

”Very good. You protected the household in my stead, and you have my extreme praise.”

”Hehe~” Tia giggled, ”Where is my reward?”

She stared at him while kneeling in front of a bunch of occult-like items that he had never seen before. The room was also dim only with candlelight, making strange thoughts emerge within Tia as she closed her eyes and pouted her lips, looking like she was waiting for something.

ʼW-Wha… my little aunt canʼt be this shameless…ʼ

Davis thought, but his lips couldnʼt help but curl as he leaned and pounced on the opportunity laid before him.

”Mhm~”

Tiaʼs sweet, rosy lips were sensually captured and explored with delight, and she partook in his taste. A sense of fulfillment and affection gradually rose to the peak within her, causing her to hold his shoulders and savor the intimate time she knew was going to end.

Ten seconds later, their lips separated, and Tia kept her gaze on him with a satisfied expression.

”I will be expecting more, big brother~”

”I am looking forward to it.”

Davis smiled.

He really couldnʼt wait to take his little aunt but there were much more pressing matters as his people would still be scouring the city for intruders in the form of soul bodies or that was what they were told.

Moreover, he was thankful that Tia didnʼt ask much or didnʼt say too much.

She always knew how to act in front of strange encounters, making him feel she was highly dependable.

Ten minutes later, everyone responded to his summons and gathered at the mansionʼs hall.

He explained there was nothing to worry about and that the matters concerning security had been taken care of without much explanation, although he also hadnʼt explained what went on with him and Saintess Lunaria since he didnʼt needlessly want them to be angry or worried.

”So who are you trying to take the reins from us?”

Shirley stepped forward as she shot a questioning look at Gilda Zenflame. As a woman with Fire Phoenix Blood, she welcomed this woman but since Davis didnʼt consult with her, she stared at her with animosity.

The other women also stared at Gilda Zenflame, their expressions not amused, to say the least.

It was fine that he didnʼt consult them. They could use the Harem Council to decide her fate. However, she was commanding them, trying to take the reins...?

Thatʼs not happening, especially not happening in their own territory!

*Clack~*

But suddenly, Shirleyʼs eyes widened.

”Myria!”

Everyone shouted as they saw Gilda Zenflame turn into Myria, along with Davisʼs snap as though they were bound by his spell all this time. Indeed, Davis lifted Fallen Heavenʼs Karmic Impersonation on Myria.

As they finally recognized that Gilda Zenflame was Myria, his gaze was on Ellia, who looked utterly shocked.

ʼSo even soul connections are hidden in the Karmic Impersonation State, and Ellia didnʼt even realize that she failed to sense her connection with Myria had disappeared even though the connection is too vague for them to notice easily…ʼ

Davis derived his findings.

The Karmic Impersonation Technique was simply too terrifying that he could think of many ways to use it, both for good and evil, but he also saw using it didnʼt create much of a change in fate as he expected since he was still standing tall and looking well without encountering much trouble.

”Mother!”

Ellia pounced on Myria, finally realizing that she had failed to take note of the disappearance of the vague connection they shared. She could feel it again, but she couldnʼt believe she had somehow forgotten about it.

Everyone turned to look at Davis, expecting an explanation, but he simply said he had a breakthrough in Illusion Laws and Karma Laws, and he just tested their reaction to what bringing a new woman would be like, causing him to get swarmed and beaten up.
