Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3577  Two Queenly Crows

With the adorable advance of a little earth dragon came a ridiculous pressure that caused Queen Nadija and Nyoran to freeze in their tracks.

It wasnʼt like this pipsqueak dragon that peeked out of Davisʼs robe was emitting pressure, but their basic instincts as beasts made them freeze in order to measure the intent of the overwhelming aura.

Davis grabbed Miraʼs tiny body from his neck and placed her on his lap.

She was literally the size of his fist at this moment, hiding in his sleeve for all this while. She sat on his lap and then yawned adorably, causing him to smile and pat her head.

”Forgive Miraʼs intrusion. She just wanted to roam around with me.”

”I… I see.”

Queen Nadija failed to say a few words as her lips twitched.

This man was handling an Emperor-Tier Earth Dragon like it was a pet, and the dragon was staying quiet no- even seemed to be enjoying it. This shouldnʼt be possible, and even if she imagined it, her instincts would basically say no to her daydream, but reality… seemed to be different.

”And Nyoran, youʼre finally here. You didnʼt come to me three days ago even though I sent you the letter six days ago. How should I punish you?”

”…”

Nyoranʼs expression twitched while Queen Nadijaʼs expression fell.

”Aha. I was just joking. Come here and sit…”

Davis gestured to his opposite side, causing Nyoran to breathe in and out a few times to regain her breath. She had never traversed faster in this life, but considering she had just entered the Immortal Emperor Stage, she didnʼt think much of it as her speed did indeed improve.

”Congratulations on becoming an Immortal Emperor Variant Ghostly Crow. I presume you know why Iʼm here.”

”I donʼt know…”

Nyoran walked to his side and sat on a cultivation cushion he summoned for her. It seemed to be bejeweled with High-Level Immortal Crystal Vein Fragments, making her heart skip a beat with shock.

This was not something even Immortal Emperors could endure consuming, as it is scarce nowadays.

Davis turned to look at Queen Nadija, prompting her to cup her hands.

”Then Iʼll take my leave.”

She nodded with respect before she turned around.

”Wait… you can say anything you have in front of Queen Nadija. She is a trustworthy person. She also knows every one of my secrets.”

”…”

Davis stared at Nyoran.

Nyoran had a few secrets, one of them being that she was a Divergent because of her variance.

The fact that Queen Nadija knew of it and still let her live here came as a gesture of good will to him but it could to be also because of wanting to use her powers. Then again, since Queen Nadija was exploring the option of getting politically married to Black Tyriel in Nyoranʼs stead, he begin to wonder if this two really shared a good relationship.

”I see.”

Davis nodded lightly, causing Nyoran to smile, ”Thanks.”

She removed her veil and made herself comfortable, causing Davis to see how delighted she was.

”What are you waiting for? Take a seat if youʼre free enough to listen to some secrets of the true immortal world.”

Davis cast a glance at Queen Nadija, causing her heart to tremble.

Secrets of the true immortal world? She was interested in that more than anything she had heard today and it came out from the mouth of the most interesting person she had ever met in her life.

An Anarchic Divergent, but the public didnʼt rush to execute him because he was reasonable?

She found him highly controversial yet intriguing.

She cast a glance at Nyoran, appearing to be grateful for this chance. If she had never listened to Nyoranʼs perspective on Davis, she wondered if she wouldʼve entertained him this much without fearing him enough to go mute.

Then, she found herself seated beside them, her expression intrigued.

Nyoran also seemed confused.

Mira looked up at Davis, wondering what he was going to say.

He had the complete attention of two noble women and an imperial woman, causing Davis to chuckle lightly.

”Nyoran, I think I may have an idea what your true powers are.”

”..?”

Nyoran titled her head to the side. Her action was similar to that of a bird, causing Davis to inwardly smile before he once again panned his gaze at them.

He figured it would be alright since they were Immortal Emperor Beasts.

”Please tell us. Iʼm already aware that my tribulation wouldnʼt necessarily be easier since I am already helping Nyoran.”

Queen Nadija suddenly added. Her words caused Davis to nod, thinking it shouldnʼt invite much karmic burden or even if it did, they were Immortal Emperors who can be privy to these secrets.

”Most likely, the technique stemming from Nyoranʼs variance leads her to another dimension.”

”Dimension…?”

This time, even Queen Nadija tilted her head while Nyoran titled the other way around.

”…”

Davis was speechless as he felt like he was being measured by two crows perched on a branch before he opened his mouth again.

”Yes. As far as I know, there are multiple Dimensions in the True Immortal World, and Nyoran can access one of them through her ability to disappear. I suppose it is called the Nether Dimension.”

”…”

Nyoran and Queen Nadija looked at each other, looking clueless.

They had never heard of a Dimension before, so what is supposed to be a Nether Dimension? It couldnʼt be that he was talking about their nether regions, right?

Queen Nadija felt that it was possible for a womanizer, but seeing Davis have a straight face, she couldnʼt figure it out.

”Doesnʼt that ring bells…?”

Davis raised his hand and rubbed his cheek with his finger doubtfully, ”Arenʼt magical beasts supposed to have inherited memories?”

”We do have inherited memories, but if what youʼre saying invites karmic burden, then we wonʼt remember it until we at least see a glimpse of it.”

Queen Nadija explained before she turned to look at Nyoran, ”Isnʼt that right?”

”…”

However, Nyoran didnʼt reply, appearing contemplative, which caught both Davisʼs and Queen Nadijaʼs attention.

”No, I donʼt remember anything that might constitute a Nether Dimension. The name doesnʼt make me remember anything either.”

”…” Davis paused before he nodded, ”Alright. I figured as much since youʼre still King-Tier.”

”Mhm?”

Nyoran inclined her head again, causing Davis to nod.

”Perhaps you need to become Emperor-Tier to be able to remember.”

”…!?”

”After all,” Davis saw their eyes turned wide, ”You did say that Emperor-Tier Ghostly Crows tend to be able to disappear for a few years and reappear in the same place without any memories if they used one of their techniques, which I assume to be an Emperor-Tier Species Technique which allows them to temporarily shift into the Nether Dimension.”

Queen Nadija looked shocked as she turned to look at Nyoran.

She had revealed one of their life-saving secrets to the Anarchic Divergent!? That was tantamount to betrayal!

Then again, there were no Emperor-Tier Ghostly Crows that were present in this era in their clan, so there was no use holding Nyoran accountable but rules couldnʼt be broken like that, so Nyoran would be punished unless she kept her mouth shut.

On the other hand, Nyoranʼs heart skipped a beat.

Then the reason Davis was here… could be…

”But…” Davis pursed his lips, ”… that is only for the Emperor-Tier Ghostly Crow. As for you Nyoran, I believe your variance will allow you to enter because you can shift even while being normal, so chances are that becoming an Emperor-Tier Variant Ghostly Crow might grant you the ability to pass through the Nether Dimension.”

”So, yes. I am indeed here to ask you to join me in my ascendance to the true immortal world. If you do so, Iʼll try to make you an Emperor-Tier Variant Ghostly Crow to the best of my ability. No promises, though.”

”...”
