Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3564  Establishing Family Law

Three people, one man, and two women, hurried to their destination.

It wasnʼt the mansionʼs main hall like the last time but a new place was prepared to host the meeting. The three of them soon appeared before a door and pushed it open, entering a large chamber that was capable of accommodating a hundred people easily, circularly wide and spacious.

Davis, Evelynn, and Natalyaʼs brows raised as they entered, looking at the air of grandeur and elegance oozing out from this chamber. They were immediately struck by its opulence and the attention to detail in every aspect of the furnishings of the walls and the ornaments that hung over them.

The walls were adorned with wooden panels featuring delicate carving of the twelve Paragon Magical Beasts from the dragon to the rat. Soft and ambient lighting emanated from the lanterns suspended from the ceiling, casting a warm glow throughout the chamber that Davis almost felt like he had entered a high class classical restaurant minus the delicacies.

His gaze panned around, and he saw that most of them were already here, looking at the three of them with knowing looks.

Davis wryly smiled and looked towards the center, spotting a massive round table, large enough to accommodate thirty or more individuals. The table appeared to be crafted from rich, high-quality Immortal Emperor Grade Wood, polished to a high shine, and embellished with intricately designed names depicting oneʼs seats.

11:50

This made it so no one can take anotherʼs seat even if theyʼre missing. Furthermore, plush floating cushions made up of luxurious silk flank the round table, ready for the guests to take their seats.

The entire setting made Davis wonder if he had chanced upon some other family or if this was his own.

”You finally appeared, and youʼre twelve minutes late…”

Mingzhi walked over with her brows raised.

”Bububu~” Fiora rubbed her face over Azariel and Viridia as she played with them with joy. She walked over along with Mingzhi and cast a knowing look at them before she turned her gazed to the two babies.

”Look, your father stole all your food. You two must get revenge in the future for this slight, understand?”

”Beh~”

Viridia slapped Fiora with her tiny hand, causing Fiora to gawk.

”Ahaha~”

Davis and the others couldnʼt help but laugh before both Azariel and Viridia extended out their bottom lip, looking as though they were going to cry, extending their hands toward their mother to take her back.

”My babies~”

Evelynn took them from Fiora and thanked her.

She instantly left the scene, intending to feed them and soothe them. Now, only Davis and Natalya were left.

”Elder sis~ You made everyone wait!”

Fiora reached out her hand and pinched Natalyaʼs ear, causing the latter to beg for forgiveness.

On the other hand, Mingzhi took Davis away, appearing to discuss the specifics of todayʼs meeting.

”Why only me!?”

Natalya cried out lightly as she was dragged away by her little sister.

”Big sister, youʼre getting bold in the sheets like me. How was it…?

However, after dragging her to a corner, Fiora asked with an expectant smile.

Instantly, Natalya blushed and whispered about the new technique, causing Fioraʼs lips to part as she didnʼt expect anything new other than the same old adventures that was more than enough to fulfill her fantasies.

She couldnʼt be wild as Natalya right now as she was pregnant but now, she couldnʼt help but tremble as she heard the details.

Her first thought would be Mingzhi would be up for it and they would allow him to do them together.

In the meantime, everyone caught up with each other as this might be the last time they were going to meet. Logan, Claire, and their relatives were also here as this meeting was going to decide their and their descendantsʼ future. As the Legion Commander, Yotan was also here.

After Davis and Mingzhi discussed for some time and Evelynn returned, everyone took their seats.

As the members of the harem council, consisting of twenty six members, sat on the seats around the round table, they found a remarkable feature. There was a crystal underneath the table, right above their dominant hand.

The ladies were intrigued.

They knew this array of shimmering crystals served a unique purpose: to facilitate voting among the members present at the round table. Like the last time, they imagined that each crystal was capable of receiving inputs for three different actions: in agreement, against and abstained.

Everything seemed high class for their taste that they were taken aback a bit but also excited as they could now be considered elders of their own power. However, when they thought they werenʼt going to be here for long, they turned a bit sad.

However, looking at their manʼs dependable back, they smiled lovingly, knowing that if it was with him, then even death wouldnʼt separate them.

Davis appeared before his seat that was slightly elevated at the north of the round table and turned around, flicking his sleeves as he sat and his legs above one another and relaxed on his seat like an Emperor as he rested his chin on his hand, for only his seat was like structured to be a throne.

”…”

Being the closest to be seated to him, Evelynn and a few others couldnʼt help but be mesmerized by that scene as his movements were flawless.

Bylai couldnʼt help but drool as she saw her man seated with pride on one of her creations. Some of them even blushed, forgetting that he could act as a prince or an Emperor whenever he wanted but was goofing around all the time.

”It is easy…” Suddenly, Mingzhi started, garnering everyoneʼs attention ”… it is easy to have high morals when you donʼt have to face an encounter that tests your ability to uphold them.”

”It is easy to have principles that you would never budge on when you donʼt have something you canʼt afford to sacrifice.”

Mingzhi panned her gaze, appearing to give a speech.

”We crossed many of these hurdles to be here in this place right now, and for the person who made all that possible, we abandoned certain morals that we wouldʼve never given up and abandoned certain principles that we would have never budged on… hoping, that he would look at us and love us for who we are.”

”…”

The hearts of many women were so tugged that they couldnʼt help but cast a glance at Davis, making him blink.

Mingzhi smirked, ”And of course, he has done the same for us, so I would like to thank him first and foremost for not abandoning us in this cruel world and trying to treat us with the utmost fairness he could possibly achieve with his body and soul.”

Davis nodded in agreement while his parents also couldnʼt help but smile.

It seems that he was keeping his women happy, and they couldnʼt be any more proud of it, as having a big family was not something anyone could accomplish, and the harem would be strife with internal conflict.

Mingzhi took a good look at everyone before she continued.

”The human race has always engaged in the survival of the fittest, and so do every race. However, it is said that we were the first to establish laws that regulate and punish people fairly. Even as mortals, we looked up to the law, such a vague ruling mechanism consisting of tribal rules, town rules, city rules, and so on, which could only be upheld by a collective union of echoes. However-

She paused, her lips curling in derision, ”-that is bound to fail as the opinion of many cannot possibly unify the clash of ideas and could not even match the opinion of an exceptional and powerful ruler who can put their feet down when it matters the most. Hence, the need for Kings and Emperors was born, who then used their fists to establish their own sets of laws in their powers.”

She spread her hands, appearing majestic as light and darkness enshrouded her.

”It is time for us to do the same, establish a set of laws in the name of our man, the man whom we consider our Emperor in our hearts, who has dedicated his life to us and given us his authority. Am I wrong!?”

”NO!”

Evelynn and the others yelled out with big smiles on their faces, even causing Davis to be taken aback.

The passionate feelings… was this something like idolization towards him…?

He could feel their love and loyalty any time of the day but to look at him with such intense admiration made him feel giddy inwardly.

”Very good~”

Mingzhi heavily nodded, ”With that in mind, we have finally gathered here today for the sake of the betterment of the family, and I, Mingzhi Davis, am honored to introduce the legal system of the Davis Family.”

She brought out a jade crystal and held it in her hands.

”I compiled all of our laws into this jade slip, so feel free to go through it thoroughly when you have time.”

Mingzhi then waved her hand, sending the precise amount of jade slips to the people present.

”…”

Everyone sent their soul force in, making numerous expressions.

I will post 5-6 chaps tomorrow.
