Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3554  Investigation To The East

”Let her go.”

Saintess Lunaria uttered again.

Seeing her remain staunch, the Guardians reluctantly acquiesced.

*Bzzz!~*

Solara Skyshore lifted her crushing cauldron body, Zera Nullheart released the Yin-Yang Seal Wheel she held in her hand, which caused the three wheels sealing the Divine Inquisitor to disappear, Kalaxis Vain released his shadow that caught her, and finally, Kieth Siegknot released the tumultuous waves of gravity that suppressed her.

”…”

Upon being released, the Divine Inquisitor trembled in front of this group.

Just four out of eight of them had been enough to suppress her to death, leaving her quivering in the wake of this group that could ascend to the true immortal world. If this Divergent group ascended and grew, she didnʼt know what kind of calamity they would bring forth, but she couldnʼt understand.

This Lunaria… was supposed to be the Divine Saintess of Life, wasnʼt she…? So why was she heralding a group of this caliber…?

She had never been so close to the feeling of death that she now began to understand the fear of death.

”Donʼt you ever come back again, or the one who will have their soul extinguished will be you.”

Saintess Lunaria coldly spoke, causing the Divine Inquisitor to shudder before she turned around and left.

=======

”Lovely children…”

On the eastern end, the other female Divine Inquisitor, who had a melodious voice, was investigating some people in the mansion, including the children.

”Mhmm… Celestia Davis, check. Aurelia Davis, check. Aiya, heʼs cute… Lucian Davis, check.”

She had her scroll open and went around, quickly checking off anyone who might be suspicious or not, as there was a large amount of people in this place where she picked up the minor disturbance.

She had a good feeling this might be the place they were looking for.

”…”

However, she suddenly stopped in front of a little spirit. Her eyes moved between the scroll and the little spirit, blinking.

”Ca-Caly… letʼs just ignore this one… sheʼs staring straight at me… very suspicious…”

The Divine Inquisitor pursed her lips, looking away as she moved to another place.

”…”

Calypsea curiously looked at her, wondering who this being was. She remembered father said not to harm people who didnʼt show hostility and this person wasnʼt showing any even though they didnʼt seem to belong here as far as she knew, causing her to follow curiously.

Sometime later, the Divine Inquisitor looked troubled.

Now, a bunch of women were surrounding her, looking at her with gazes full of suspicion.

”Actually, many are suspicious people as many of them have noticed my ramblings despite their lower cultivation… could it be that they are all Divergents… no way… perhaps they noticed because of this little spirit -eeeeh~”

The Divine Inquisitor turned back and saw Calypsea staring at her inches away from her face, causing her to flinch and glide back.

”What is that…?”

”Is that one of Davisʼs experiments…?”

”Did he say he was doing something like that…?”

Evelynn and the others were full of doubt.

With Davis and Myria together, they wondered if they had given birth to something like this, but evidently, the mysterious entity before them was a grown woman mumbling something as though verifying them for some reason.

Nonetheless, the Divine Inquisitor knew she had made a fool out of herself and tried to address the crowd for more information.

”Hehem~”

She raised her hand to her mouth, although it was just a mask, and coughed lightly, starting a speech.

”Folks of the living realm, you are in the presence of a Divine Inquisitor from the Reincarnation Dimension. From this point forth, anything you say will be karmically noted, and lies will not be tolera-”

The Divine Inquisitorʼs voice was melodious, and she tried to make sure that people felt at ease despite her terrifying presence. However, she suddenly noticed a purple-robed, blonde-haired woman walk into the hall, locking eyes with her.

”…”

”…”

They stared at each other for a few seconds without moving, the Divine Inquisitorʼs heart sinking- no, floating into the embrace of the skies.

The other party she was staring at was none other than Clara Loret.

Claraʼs eyes were wide as a purple hue shot at the Divine Inquisitor.

”Begone!”

”My Life Supreme!”

The Divine Inquisitor jumped on the spot, dropping the scroll of origin, but as soon as it left her hand, it disappeared before she turned around and fled, unable to believe that a master of the Transcendent Truth Eyes was present in this place.

That didnʼt bore well since the heavens would come to know theyʼve been snooping about, causing them to be pulled back by the Supremes or kicked out back to their home by the heavens.

Evelynn and the others turned to look at Clara, who blinked at them.

”That looked like an evil spirit…”

”…”

Didnʼt Clara hear the words Reincarnation Dimension? Of course, it was a ghost, but it was anything but an evil spirit from their inadequate knowledge.

They looked at each other, wondering what just went down and if they had to do something about it.

Behind Clara, Tia walked away whistling as though she had nothing to do with this situation.

At the center where Davis was currently present, the two female Divine Inquisitors appeared before the male Divine Inquisitor.

”Chief Divine Inquisitor! Chief Divine Inquisitor! This is bad. I met with a Heavenʼs Warrior while investigating the eastern side! But I canʼt understand… there may be Divergents there, so why would there be a Heavenʼs Warrior with them…?”

”Chief Divine Inquisitor! I almost died! I met with a strong group of Divergents and may have found the source. It may relate to the person called the Divine Emperor of Death, but I suggest we-”

The female Divine Inquisitor who visited Davisʼs home poured out everything, acting aggrieved, but on the other hand, the female Divine Inquisitor who investigated Saintess Lunaria trembled before she noticed the man and the woman on the flying boat.

She instantly realized that the Chief Divine Inquisitor was talking with him since he seemed to be looking in their direction, so she gestured and switched to soul transmission, no longer underestimating anyone here as everything was incredulous.

”I suggest we do not retaliate with the little time we have, especially after she said that she met with a Heavenʼs Warrior of the highest stature.”

”Mhm~ Mhm~”

The other female Divine Inquisitor nodded, still appearing aggrieved.

”Therefore, I suggest we take the Divine Emperor of Death to the Reincarnation Dimension if heʼs weak and if heʼs strong, investigate him with all three of us present. I will quickly look for his whereabouts.”

”…”

The Chief Divine Inquisitor looked straight at Davis as he realized a high number of Divergents centering around this person was extremely suspicious.

”No need. He is right in front of me.” His voice turned grave.

”…!?”

The two other Divine Inquisitors turned shocked before the arrogant woman shot a look at Davis.

”He is!?”

”Heʼs only a Peak Immortal King with an unbelievable prowess but still not enough to defeat us in our suppressed state. I say we take him and fle- return, before our time is up as heʼs highly suspicious!”

The Chief Divine Inquisitor spoke up, and along with him, the three of them released hostile intentions to capture Davis, death energy exuding out of their black-cloaked figures.
