Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3576  Causing Ruckus?

”Queen Nadija and Rea Tyriel, whatʼs going on here? Why is a ca- why is he here?”

The Patriarch of the Ghostly Crow Clan appeared from nowhere, quickly landing beside them as he asked. However, his stature seemed quite low in front of three King-Tier existences, making him grunt lightly as he felt his bloodline go limp from suppression.

Seems like the ladies were spooked by the Emperor of Death since they were unable to control their auras properly.

Queen Nadija turned to look at the Patriarch.

”No need to be alarmed, Patriarch. Your intervention is unnecessary as I received the Emperor of Deathʼs letter to visit around a week ago.”

”Then why didnʼt you tell me? How can you elude such a matter from my jurisdiction!?”

The Patriarch roared, but Queen Nadija kept quiet before replying.

”Nyoran told me that he is a man of his word and wouldnʼt attack unnecessarily, so I expect him to be reasonable and calm.”

”Is that so?” The Patriarch pointed at her, ”Then youʼll be responsible if anything harmful happens. Hmph!”

He harrumphed, turning around to leave, but before he could even reach a few meters away, he disappeared, displaying the Ghostly Crow Clanʼs wondrous ability to conceal themselves.

He harrumphed, turning around to leave, but before he could even reach a few meters away, he disappeared, displaying the Ghostly Crow Clanʼs wondrous ability to conceal themselves.

Their concealment ability only improved in the dark skies, especially under the moonlight!

Rea Tyriel and Queen Nadija stared at each other.

They could see the Patriarch was completely afraid of the Emperor of Death as he didnʼt even peek a look into the castle.

Nonetheless, was this a good sign for their powers?

The calamitous omen had visited them three days before the Candidacy. Would they get wiped out for no reason?

Such worries remained in their hearts, but their personal experience for one was that one was not such a man, and the other had a trusted confidante vouch for him.

Together, they entered the Ghostly Crow Clanʼs castle, feeling like this place wasnʼt in their jurisdiction anymore despite having plenty of defensive formations.

Sure enough, they saw Davis seated in the hall like he owned it.

The castle maids were at the corner or at the turning point in the hallway, trembling in fear ever so lightly.

In fact, he already seemed to start meditating as though he was comprehending Laws, making their lips twitch.

”Donʼt act so cockily.”

Rea Tyriel walked towards him in great strides, ”I still know what kind of man you are, as you gave me so many chances.”

”How come you have grown up this quickly?”

Davis raised his brows, causing Rea Tyriel to bite her lips.

”Pain… thanks to losing my elder sister whom I loved dearly. You owe me for that…”

”Alright, you didnʼt grow at all.” Davis shook his head.

”You-!”

”Young Miss…”

Her elders hurriedly tried to block her as they saw her raise her hand.

Rea Tyriel saw her hand before she put her hand down and stamped her feet.

”Come on, at least admit that you were the reason for the portal collapse. Otherwise, who am I to blame? Besides, if she really is dead, just say it…!”

”…”

Davis pursed his lips.

He really couldnʼt say if Raelyn Tyriel was alive or dead as she was part of the group where either Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley or Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion was hiding. Perhaps one of them already got to her, as if they almost got Nadia in that place.

”She could still be alive. There were a few righteous individuals there who created a shelter. Iʼm pretty sure I briefed that information.”

”That was true…?” Rea Tyrielʼs voice held some hope.

”Of course it is. I have no need to lie back then or even now. Oh- there is one piece of information that I havenʼt revealed, and that is about Manasiz. He is a disciple of the Astral Pill Upper Realm who took care of the people in the shelter. Perhaps, if you manage to come out alive of the Candidacy and ascend and rise into a better position in the Lunar Crow Clan, you should be able to meet her.”

”Really…?”

Davis nodded, causing Rea Tyrielʼs eyes to turn moist.

She had heard how big the true immortal world was, so she was scared that even if her elder sister was still alive, she might never find her. However, this information was truly helpful.

This gave her some hope.

She turned around and leaped towards Black Tyriel, embracing him as she hid her tears.

Davis couldnʼt help but smile lightly, ʼSo this pet finally managed to make his mistress fall…ʼ

Black Tyriel couldnʼt help but stare at him before he gave a nod as though it was some kind of approval.

At this moment, Davis turned to look at Queen Nadija, who approached him with some caution.

”Please, if you could acquiesce to our request, we will arrange a better room for you to host you properly.”

”Sure.”

Davis simply answered.

He didnʼt want to trouble them but to remain and meet with Nyoran so that he could learn more about her powers, which he believed were connected to the Nether Dimension.

Even Nyoran didnʼt know that, but he was here to verify.

Queen Nadija quickly commanded her maids, and soon, a room was readied for him.

It also had a good cultivation chamber where one could cultivate ten times faster with a time chamber but unfortunately, Immortal Emperors could only cultivate here two times faster.

However, the cost seemed to be free as long as he remained their guest.

”If you need anything else, please donʼt hesitate to ask.”

Queen Nadija stood in front of the door while he was inside the room.

”Just Nyoran.”

”Understood.” Queen Nadija nodded before she stepped back, looking like she was about to close the door, but hesitated.

”Excuse me, do you have feelings for her?”

Davis blinked.

She was asking a personal question?

”Does this have to do something with the alliance youʼre forming with the Tyriel Family and the Lunar Crow Clan?” He asked.

Queen Nadija blinked before she entered the room, and a sound barrier formed when she waved her hand behind.

”Yes, they have come here to seek a stronger alliance through marriage. Of course, Nyoran has already rejected marrying Black Tyriel before she went to seclusion, and Black Tyriel has also denied wanting to marry her as he eyes Rea Tyriel alone, but the Ancestors are pressuring them to get married, join their King-Tier Blood in union so that we could prosper or fail together.”

”Oh… Iʼm sure the two crow clans are fully on board with this arrangement.”

Davis almost rolled his eyes, but he didnʼt react.

He also heard faint rumors of many powers scramming to fast forward whatever plans they had for the decade. After all, the Candidacy was going to begin in nine days and there were only three days left but there were so many things they had planned for the decade which they had no choice but to fast forward now.

Even wars broke out in the Southern Divide.

”Indeed.” Queen Nadija nodded slightly, ”Iʼm doing everything in my power to stop them, but as an Early Immortal Emperor Beast, I can only go so far in times of emergency. If I took action before I lawfully managed to defeat the Patriarch, it would mean insurgency.”

Davis raised his brows, ”I didnʼt think magical beasts would have such a strict hierarchy when King-Tier Beasts were concerned. Besides, the Patriarch is indeed a powerful fey, I see.”

”Well, these are dangerous times, and they just canʼt hand over the reins to a young woman like me.”

Queen Nadijaʼs voice turned wry, causing Davis to nod.

She didnʼt say it, but he imagined that the Ghostly Crow Clan had a legacy treasure that suppressed a King-Tier Beast. He had heard of such cases, so he wasnʼt surprised. Unless an Emperor-Tier Beast was born, they could forget overthrowing the hierarchy easily.

”So— youʼre going to get married to Black Tyriel?”

”…”

Queen Nadija paused when she heard Davisʼs question before she nodded.

”That is what theyʼre here for if they couldnʼt convince Nyoran. However, if they knew Nyoran was your woman or your ally in any kind of way, they would naturally target me.”

”I caused you trouble.”

Davis lightly nodded, ”I assume you do not want me to interfere with the relations between the two crow clans, not to mention the Tyriel Family?”

”Thank you for your understanding.”

Queen Nadija nodded before Davis quickly opened his mouth.

”I support arranged marriages, but I do not support political marriages. You will end up becoming miserable if your political groom doesnʼt have a single iota of love for you, but I doubt a male will be able to resist your queenly charm.”

”My~”

Queen Nadija raised her hand and touched her cheek, smiling behind her semi-transparent veil, ”I did hear you were quite the womanizer with around twenty-five wives, some of them carrying King-Tier or even Emperor-Tier Blood. Am I being flirted with here?”

”Nope.”

Davis heaved a breath while staring at her beautiful white eyes. She was indeed charming, having an irresistible charm of a mature woman reminding him of the first time he laid eyes on Evelynn.

However, his gaze moved, and he saw a woman break into the sound barrier, radiating unstable Immortal Emperor Beast Stage undulations.

”Davis…”

Nyoran entered the scene, seemingly out of breath as her bosoms heaved.

She looked confused, wondering why he was there.

At the same time, Mira peeked out from Davisʼs robe in her tiny magical beast form as she realized Davis had cancelled his concealment for a long time while she had taken a little nap again, finally looking around to see what the world had in store for her.
