Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3536  Back Into A Shell?

Inside the chamber where the source of danger that quadrillions of people felt came from, there was a young man and young woman on the bed, seated side by side with a fine distance between them, not too close but also not too far.

It was none other than Davis and Myria.

Davis put the glowing stone inside his spatial ring and returned his gaze to Myria, looking at her being seated with her legs stretched and her knees clasped with her arms, appearing to be sulking and at other times, solemn.

He continued to stare at her, occasionally moving his gaze away. It had already been ten minutes, but after the fifteenth-minute mark, Davis sighed.

”Did you calm down…?

”…”

Myria was silent, her chin above her knees. She was still naked, clothed by a piece of sheet, which made her look quite forlorn. Her expression churned upon hearing his question, but she didnʼt respond.

”You-”

Just as Davis was going to say something, Myria abruptly turned to look at him.

”How can you be so sure that I didnʼt purposefully try to devour you? Will you not question me?”

”…”

Davis blinked. He extended his hands lightly to the side and shrugged, ”I mean… that sounds… sexy…”

”Iʼm not playing games.” Myria sounded solemn.

”Alright, alright.”

Davis raised his hands in surrender at Myriaʼs glare, ”Itʼs because I believe you will not. Does such an answer satisfy your heart?”

”…”

Myria gazed at him, her gaze softening before she turned to look straight ahead again. Her cheeks turned rosy as she went through what happened again.

”I was drunk in pleasure… I did finally become a woman, still alive, and perhaps that joy made me forget about all things, trying to embrace you with all I can… yet that very action couldʼve been what caused me to… try and devour you…”

”You think so…?” Davis raised his brows.

”I think so…”

Myria gave him a nod, but it wasnʼt firm or hesitant, causing Davis to nod his head before he took a breath.

”Well, Iʼll give you another chance, so try to devour me again. I promise you that you wonʼt succeed. This time, Iʼll put you in your place.”

He tried to move towards her like a lion hunting its prey. However, she was like a cougar who refused to submit.

”No…” Myria shook, looking ready to leap away, ”… donʼt be ridiculous…”

”…”

Davisʼs expression scrunched up.

He was like the husband who was refused dual cultivation on the first night because the lady imagined that her sacred area was poisonous enough to kill her husband, making him imagine the time when Bylai was once forcefully hexed there so she could seduce and kill him.

It inwardly made him laugh, but outwardly, he maintained a pitiful expression.

”Please… donʼt be sad. You saw how we invited a Divine Punishment Tribulation…”

Myria reached out her hand, touching the back of his palm.

She knew how they got interrupted, unable to enjoy their first night but the implications of their union was far higher than she expected. She couldnʼt risk bringing the Divine Punishment Tribulation down again and most importantly, they were still here, so sheʼd like to keep it that way.

In her mind, they had lucked out, so she wanted him to see the same, hoping that he would understand.

”…”

Davis didnʼt see it nor feel it. Myria was far more awake than he was because he was getting devoured, so the amount of things he could see was less, but he believed her words, understanding what came for them.

He saw the remnant of what he speculated to be a reincarnation cycle after experiencing the control he had over the myriad of souls present in the First Haven World and further. From that, he was able to infer it had been a mini-reincarnation cycle.

Myria also accepted this speculation as she came to the same conclusion but what he didnʼt think ahead was that they were overthrowing the Three Layered Universeʼs reincarnation cycle in a region, bringing them Divine Punishment Tribulation.

So when she told him that they might invite a Divine Punishment Tribulation again, he believed her. However..

He flipped his hand and caught her frail hand that needed even more warmth because he could feel her insecurity right now. If he didnʼt do anything about it, he feared that she would never allow him to make love with her for fear of harming them all.

”Thatʼs over. The Divine Punishment Tribulation wouldnʼt come back because I got your primal yin, and I feel invincible. End of story. The rest is pretty much plain old sex between lovers, husband and wife-”

”You- no means no!” Myria tried to throw his hand away, but he firmly held it, causing her to clench her teeth, tears forming in her eyes.

”Enough caring about me.” She pleaded in a soft voice, ”I painfully understand you would go through bloodshed for me, but itʼs time you care about your other women! You got to stay here, so go back!”

”…”

Davis felt heartened yet saddened. He couldnʼt bear to see Myria in this state that she was going back to her shell again, probably wouldnʼt allow her to feel happiness until she found a way to take control of her soul from devouring him, not cause the mini reincarnation cycle to appear and not incur a Divine Punishment Tribulation.

Even the World Master didnʼt survive her Divine Punishment Tribulation, so there was that. However, he felt the magnitude was way more higher because they were subconsciously trying to hijack the reincarnation cycle of the universe but the World Master subconsciously tried to overthrow the universe or perhaps the heavens themselves.

Therefore, Davis had an inkling that he and Myria could survive even if they faced their Divine Punishment Tribulation and considering the rules, he knew they would face it together which meant he had more confidence to come out alive because of the sheer power they held together.

Davis let her hand go and flew to the edge of the bed.

Myriaʼs heart shook as she watched him leave. She shuddered, feeling like she left him, perhaps once and for all for all the troubles she brought but she didnʼt say anything and lowered her head, feeling this is the way it should be.

At least her loved ones can continue to live here safely for a decade.

”Alright.”

However, Davis stopped as he landed in front of the bed and turned to look at her, raising his hand.

”If dual cultivation is off the table until you clear your mind and have enough determination again, then let us explore our soul cultivation.”

”…”

Davisʼs eyes narrowed, ”Iʼm worried about what we summoned or conjured right out of our souls, but here it goes…”

*Rzzz!~*

Iridescent black-white energy flipped out of Davisʼs soul, going behind him as they manifested into the reincarnation wheel, the signature of cultivating the Unfettered Earthly Reincarnation Scripture.

However, Myria saw it was different from her own.

It had a blackish wolf and a white fox running across the edge of the wheel, radiating a tremendous amount of energy and an imperious aura that didnʼt allow any disparagement to go scot-free.

”Woah…”

Davis uttered in visible shock.

His Everlasting Samsara Tribunal Physique had undergone yet another improvement once again.

He could sense his prowess using reincarnation energy without much effort was peak fourteen levels higher already, which meant that his base prowess had increased to thirteen levels higher.

If he started throwing proper techniques, then he could unleash a Spear of Damnation that was fifteen levels higher, and if he sacrificed his soul essence, that might actually reach the peak of fifteen levels higher when previously, he didnʼt find himself being able to go above fourteen levels higher.

This meant Myriaʼs primal yin had given him a one-level increase in prowess, and this was on top of already receiving Nadia and Everlightʼs Emperor-Tier primal yin essences, which meant an increase in prowess was extremely difficult or unfathomable to come by.

”What about you, Myria?”

Davis stared at Myria, his expression filled with excitement.
