Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3509  Inflamed

*Boom!~*

Numerous attacks fell on Pasha, but the reverberating waves of sound he unleashed managed to defend against those attacks, causing spontaneous explosions or mist to erupt around him. He stood tall, still having a stupid grin on his face as he took another look at the situation since many Immortal Emperors unleashed a raw attack and quickly retreated from him, leaving him alone at the center along with those who joined them.

He glanced at them, making sure they were really on his side.

At the same time, ten or so Peak-Level Immortal Emperors gathered in front of Saintess Lunaria to protect her.

Many Immortal Emperors stepped back to protect their people while only a few surrounded the hostile Immortal Emperors, but since they appeared to be outnumbered in terms of prowess, it seemed like a bad idea. The others remained by themselves like cultivators who werenʼt in any power, but the Central Primesky Alliance people appeared before the altar, trying to protect Davis and his family.

”Yilla, take your people inside the mansion!” The Zyrus Familyʼs Patriarch, Yinakin Zyrus, waved his hand.

However, Yilla seemed bored beyond compare, angering him.

”Did you not hear me? One little wave of Immortal Emperor undulations is enough to kill you and your sisters!” He said in a small voice, practically imploring her to leave.

Yilla sighed. She merely glanced at Lereza, causing Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus to look at the latter and find that she was also not bothered much. Suddenly, he recognized that the Davis Family was too… complacent.

He panned his gaze, noticing that not many had a solemn expression as though they couldnʼt read the mood.

The others also began to notice this, finding it strange and quite eerie.

”Kidnap the bride! In the true immortal world, sheʼll fetch a good price, and weʼll share it!”

”What about the Emperor of Death?”

”Naturally, weʼll kill him. As for Saintess Lunaria, I guess we canʼt kidnap her with so many Peak-Level Immortal Emperors protecting her. Itʼs a shame…”

”Agreed.” Pasha laughed, his soul transmission full of derision, ”If we canʼt kill anyone, then weʼll focus on kidnapping the bride and his people. My next attack should break the altarʼs defensive barrier but look, he has one child basically abandoned over there… that fucking idiot…”

The bandit and the other hostile Immortal Emperors of unknown origin quickly made sure to know each otherʼs priorities before looking at a crimson-white-robed woman who bent down and knelt to wrap her arms around a child whose face couldnʼt be seen.

She had her protective energy layered around the child.

It was none other than Lea Weiss, but she was also protected by Yotan and the Reaper Soul Legion in a gigantic spirit formation, except they were far away from the altar, practically cornered at a hundred degrees to the east.

”Hehe, go get the missus and the child…” One of the three men other than Pasha uttered with disdain as he saw her.

”I was watching her, but that kid doesnʼt seem to be her child according to the information I have…” One of them seemed to have done his homework.

”Dammit!” Pasha roared, knowing time was ticking even though they had just spent two seconds exchanging soul transmission, ”He has so many women. One of them surely must have his child or have a child adopted from dead relatives. Just go and take them hostage; it makes things easier for us!”

”Alright!” The informed man agreed, abruptly releasing a thunderous roar from his body as lightning crackled all over.

”Go!”

On his signal, he dashed towards the Reaper Soul Legion while the other two rushed towards the altar.

*Bong!!!~*

Pasha unleashed another drum wave, but this time, he aimed it straight towards the altar.

”No, you donʼt!”

Abruptly, a couple who seemed to be on the sidelines jumped toward the forefront and slashed with their swords.

The waves they sent caused the sound wave to implode on itself, causing an ear-piercing sound to reverberate around the atmosphere, failing to do any damage at all. After cutting the attack down, they blocked the two unknown Peak-Level Immortal Emperors, appearing incomparably cold as their swords radiated tremendous pressure on them, causing them to come to a stop.

”Who!?” They roared, intending to intimidate them, but they also knew sword cultivators rarely or never backed down.

”Bladehearts…”

Davis saw Niel Bladeheartʼs parents defend him. He knew they were here but didnʼt expect them to make a move for him.

At the same time, the other Peak-Level Immortal Emperor encased in black lightning, shot towards his Lea.

She appeared to be stuck in another place at the wrong time while Isabella and the others who were socializing were closer to the altar, managing to be safe. However, Davis didnʼt seem to be worried despite knowing that Lea would die if she received an attack from the Peak-Level Immortal Emperor, as she had only recently become an Immortal Emperor and didnʼt have much time to make progress.

”Ahaha! Move or die, bitches!”

The Level Nine Immortal Emperor radiated dense undulations that made it known he possessed a prowess that was above a level, gathering his lightnign energy to unleash a condensed lightning spear towards the Reaper Soul Legion.

Recently, they have all seemed to enter the Immortal Emperor Stage, and Yotan was particularly at Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage as she had broken through earlier than anyone else.

The formation they were in was a battle formation that helped increase their prowess by many levels.

The soul warriors from all four corners had quickly gathered behind Yotan and poured all their energy into the formation, ready to defend against the Peak-Level Immortal Emperor, but knew they would be done in a single attack.

Their expressions soured as they felt their hearts sink, but at this moment, Lea stood up and threw the child towards the Peak-Level Immortal Emperor.

”What!?” Yotan screamed out.

The Peak-Level Immortal Emperor was about to unleash his lightning to break the formation, but with the child being thrown at him, his gaze flashed with derision against the woman called Lea before he threw it against the other Immortal Emperors who were chasing him.

*Booom!~*

Arcs of black lighting crashed against those Late Stage Immortal Emperors, pushing them back before he caught the little child by her wrist, flying away with her.

”See you later! Iʼll exit first, ahaaha!”

He shot towards the exit, leaving behind Pasha and the two others whose expressions turned cold.

”Letʼs see… who are you?”

He raised the little girl by her hand, looking at her face, which seemed expressionless, which again made him confused. There wasnʼt even the slightest bit of fear, making him cautious as he looked ahead but saw that there wasnʼt any defense with the Reaper Soul Legion having gathered behind their commander and the city formation useless.

He thought back to the scene where Lea Weiss threw this child to him as though wanting to protect herself.

ʼStrange… I feel lighter and lighter…ʼ

But suddenly, he judged he was losing weight- no, losing senses in his body.

The next second, he lost consciousness.

”…!”

Pasha and the two others were horrified as they watched this scene, a Level Nine Immortal Emperor gone just like that without much sound made, not even a scream. N0v3lTr0ve served as the original host for this chapterʼs release on N0v3l-B1n.

That little human girl who was kidnapped abruptly cracked like she was porcelain, revealing purplish skin before her body was covered in purplish-black flames. A golden crown hovered above her head, indicative of her royal stature as a spirit.

Her purplish-black flames crept upon that man and burned him into ashes before he could even realize it, as his soul was burned first.

From their perspective, he was lit up in purplish-black flames as soon as he got her by the wrist. Those flames became visible the next second, and a second later, he turned into ashes while that little girl transformed into a menacing little spirit, blocking the exit.

”…!”

However, she didnʼt stay there, heading towards them as her undulations brimmed.

Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage undulations roared with extreme density, and the space became hotter, looking like it was about to collapse.

At that moment, everyone felt their heart clench, and even Saintess Lunariaʼs gaze flickered, feeling like the Guardians might not be able to handle Calypsea any longer as her prowess was barely an inch away from reaching the Empyrean Stage.
