Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3505  Everlightʼs Day?

”It looks like my presence has inadvertently brought some trouble for you. Are you sure you want me to stay?”

”Of course. Everlight would more than like your presence here. She even seemed to personally request it to Mingzhi that your attendance is on the list of priorities.”

”Oh, that Malevolent Darkness Soul girl…”

Saintess Lunariaʼs lips curled behind her veil as her emerald eyes flashed. Her silver hair glittered like the stars amidst the glowing lanterns, casting a elusive yet mystical atmosphere surrounding her.

People followed her, but they maintained a respectful distance as Davis brought her to the guest of honor seat that was specifically prepared for her. Mingzhi wouldʼve placed her seat right next to his father and mother but decided that it wasnʼt worth the heat.

”Are you prepared to reveal Everlight to the world? I canʼt help but feel youʼre too confident by inviting me here.”

Saintess Lunaria talked with Davis through soul transmission.

Davis wryly smiled, ”I expected some people to appear in my ghost city if they heard about your graceful self, but I really didnʼt expect thousands of Immortal Emperors to appear. Even Immortal King heavenly geniuses are lining up at the gates, unable to gain entry.”

”But worry not. No matter who comes, they will not survive this defensive formation that has focused on every single one of my people as it has their particular aura registered. If someone acted against them, a bolt of lightning would quickly dispatch them into the underworld. Not even your soul body will survive this formation since Myria built it using the resources we obtained in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm while being maintained by Ellia to this day.”

”Myria always surprises me.” Saintess Lunaria smiled, ”Where is she? I donʼt sense her.”

”Forgive us, for she has secluded in a highly secured, well-enclosed chamber to concoct some pill and wouldnʼt be able to attend this wedding.”

”That sounds interesting… but I see. Sheʼs finally concocting the pill she theorized. Crazy girl…”

”Saintess Lunaria knows?” Davis raised his brows in surprise.

”Yes, I provided her my expertise when I helped her create a new body for Ellia, so she naturally asked me for advice for the theorized pill, although I couldnʼt make much of it since its aspects come from reincarnation energy and not life alone.”

Hearing Saintess Lunariaʼs soul transmission, Davis nodded.

Myria only lost to Saintess Lunaria in terms of life energy comprehension, but in other aspects, she was more knowledgeable and skillful. That was why Saintess Lunaria also seemed to be interested in her as a rival.

”Divine Saintess!”

Davis looked behind and saw numerous Immortal Emperors fall on their knees regardless of age or status. They appeared emotional, appearing to have one of their lifelong wishes fulfilled.

He felt it wasnʼt strange, considering the legend of Saintess Lunaria and the Azure Dragon was pretty much a household legend, being fed to their minds from a young age.

”Saintess… we are thankful to the heavens that youʼre still alive.”

Davis looked at one random Level Nine Immortal Emperor kneeling and having moist eyes. He was an old man with a white beard, appearing to be emotional.

He had no idea who this person was.

”Revaliur? You were still here?”

Saintess Lunaria asked with some surprise in her voice.

”Yes, Saintess. I have never left this world, slumbering for an eternity until I exited seclusion in this tumultuous era to witness the Candidacy and heard your name.”

”Saintess, I was also waiting for the Candidacy.”

”Saintess, I-”

Numerous voices echoed out with fervor.

They were unable to gain entry into the Aurora Cloud Gate to see Saintess Lunaria, so as soon as they heard she was present in this area, they came running to her. Fortunately, they were allowed entry.

”…”

Davis remained flabbergasted at these old farts. There were some women among them as well, each of them at least as millions of years as old as Saintess Lunaria was or near. From his senses, he could at least garner nineteen Level Nine Immortal Emperors.

He guessed that their prowess shouldnʼt be much, but he saw there were about sixty Late Stage Immortal Emperors from various powers.

”These are people I saved when they were mortals. It is somewhat hard to believe they have secluded themselves in some random corner of the First Haven World until today.”

Saintess Lunariaʼs soul transmission fell on Davisʼs head. He couldnʼt help but think it was no wonder they would look at her like she was their deity.

”Saintess, is the Azure Dragon still with your graceful self?” An Ancestor from the Light Dragon Clan couldnʼt help but ask.

The Azure Dragon from the legends was someone they worshiped.

”Ai, why would you remind Saintess Lunaria of her husband? Surely, her eminence would be feeling lonely at the slightest mention of him…” An Ancestor from the Fire Dragon Clan chided the other ancestor.

Davis blinked, turning to look at Saintess Lunaria for her response.

She didnʼt look disturbed at all, a calm gaze still reveling in her eyes.

”Everyone, there seems to be some sort of misunderstanding. I never took the Azure Dragon as my beloved, nor do I have any sort of relationship with him other than the one where I forced him to sign the treaty that ensured peace within the First Haven World.”

”What!?”

The crowd clamored, appearing shocked, especially the Dragon Clans, who had enjoyed countless praises for bringing peace to the world since Saintess Lunaria didnʼt leave a legacy behind and hid herself.

The strong being whom they worshiped was forced into this treaty?

They couldnʼt understand heads or tails, but Saintess Lunaria didnʼt seem to elaborate. They looked quite lost before Davis stepped forward and waved his sleeve.

”Everyone, please be seated as the marriage ceremony is going to begin shortly.”

”Shut up! Saintess Lunaria has been merciful towards an evil existence like you, so be gla-”

*Bang!~*

Annihilative lightning erupted from Davisʼs index finger, blasting that man into smithereens, causing everyoneʼs eyes to widen in utter shock.

Did a Level Six Immortal Emperor die just like that?

They didnʼt even know who that Immortal Emperor was as they hadnʼt paid attention!

”Once again, please be seated as the marriage ceremony is going to begin shortly.”

Amidst the utter silence, Davisʼs voice echoed with an indifferent tone, ”If you want your questions to be answered, then you can all wait until the marriage is over to converse with Saintess Lunaria. However, you would all do well to remember that the person of interest today isnʼt Saintess Lunaria but my bride, Saintess Everlight.”

”…!?”

Everyone couldnʼt help but be turned shocked to hear about some other Saintess. They had heard that this woman called Everlight was literally a fox, but other than that, they had no idea.

They didnʼt care as they werenʼt here for such a person, but now, hearing that Everlight was a Saintess, their pupils shuddered.

On the other hand, Saintess Lunariaʼs lips curled at Davis, wondering just how much he was going to obsess with his women.

However, she also realized the person he killed was nothing but an empty vessel, probably someoneʼs avatar to make it look more realistic, thwarting anyone who may have strange ideas today.
