Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3501  A Slippery Slope?

”Good, good. Youʼre audacious enough!”

Davis pointed at the little rascal who was suckling on his motherʼs nipple while side-eying him.

Azariel indeed side-eyed him before getting back to suckling sweetly, minding his own business. He only reacted to sounds before becoming disinterested in them, making Davis feel like he was going to grow into a cold man.

Meanwhile, his Viridia was as sleepy as a log.

Even while suckling, she fell asleep.

Evelynn smiled as she saw Davis intently stare at Azariel as Davis was checking on his health.

”All is fine?” she asked.

”Yeah, thereʼs not a problem.” Davis sat beside her, pecking on her lips.

”The growth of their bone over their spine mightʼve made them feel pain, but otherwise, it is completely natural to them.”

”Sigh, thatʼs good.” Evelynn sighed with relief, ”It took me half a day to calm them down… I hope this wonʼt happen again.”

”It wonʼt happen again, mostly.” Davis nodded, ”The base of the bone needs to grow, so it pushes against their skin ever so lightly, causing them to feel pain.”

He extended his hand, taking the sleepy Viridia from Evelynnʼs embrace, and coddled her with love before leaning to the side as he kissed Azarielʼs little forehead.

”If they did, call me instantly next time. I would soothe them with life energy.”

”Alright.”

Evelynn hid her freed bosoms before Davis could suck on it, causing him to chuckle.

Davis didnʼt find it offending as he guessed she didnʼt want to feel sexual intimacy on one and motherly intimacy on the other as that would screw with her mentality. His mouth definitely wasnʼt the type to be sucking gently like these teeth-less toddlers.

”You worked hard.”

Instead, he let her lean on his chest as he made her comfortable, kissing her forehead once and occasionally for the next hour, although forty-five minutes later, he dual cultivated with her after putting the babies to the crib, emptying out her milk for the day like he had a voracious appetitive.

Two hours later, Evelynn combed her hair as she sat beside him, her figure so wicked hot.

It made him forget about Eldiaʼs hot figure, making him feel like he was himself again. He stared foolishly at her, thinking she saved him.

”What about Azariel and Viridia? Can I bring them too? My soul body, and avatar are all occupied learning about all kinds of poisonous resources and comprehending Laws, respectively.”

”Yeah, it shouldnʼt matter even if they made a scene in the hall from being disturbed awake.”

Davis nodded.

He called in for a family meeting, obviously to announce the matter he had kept to himself for the past three days.

Soon, Evelynn readied herself, looking splendid in a purple robe with different embroidery and patterns than the last time.

He dreamily watched her dress all by herself without his help, enjoying the show before he also got ready in an instant, just donning the same old yet new purple robe that he had many of.

Evelynn took Azariel from the crib and presented him to Davis, causing him to hold him.

”Hold him, at least until we get there.”

”No, Iʼll keep him until he wakes up and cries.” Davis fondly smiled at the sleeping Azariel as he lightly pressed his finger on his cute cheek, ”This little guy will be my first line of defense.”

”Hey~”

Evelynn adorably protested. She naturally knew what he was going to announce, but she didnʼt discuss it with him about it.

Nonetheless, she too fondly smiled as she watched father and son bond before she went to get Viridia. They walked out of the room, hand-in-hand, as they made it to the humongous hallway.

There, they saw many ladies having gathered and seated in a circle, starting from the north, where there were two empty seats until the other end of the circle. Some seats were not occupied, clearly an indication of the absentees, but further out of the circle, there were some seats that were occupied by people who werenʼt in his harem.

Davis saw Tia and Clara seated outside the circle. The formerʼs eyes lit up upon seeing him, but she went shy and lowered her head while the latter was completely clueless, smiling lightly when she saw him.

There were also Tiaʼs parents and his own, even his own father, Logan.

Davis nodded to them as he couldnʼt have this meeting without them.

”Ahah, my grandson…”

Logan popped out from the chair and appeared before Davis, grabbing Azariel from him.

ʼMy first line of defense…ʼ

Davis watched his little guy be taken away from him as Logan took Azariel away and went to be seated by Claireʼs side. The two of them clearly favored Azariel over any of his children as they coddled him to their heartʼs content.

ʼYup, the first son is different to grandparents…ʼ

He shook his head, panning his gaze as he saw his second wife, Natalya, who cast a knowing gaze at him.

Third wife, Isabella, her lips curled into a smirk.

Fourth wife, Shirley, had a naughty smile on her exquisitely sexy face.

The fifth wife, Fiora, couldnʼt help but giggle as though she found the situation quite funny.

The sixth wife, Mingzhi, stood up and invited him into the circle.

Seventh wife, Sophie, with Aurelia in her embrace. Eight wife, Niera, had her belly swelling, looking like she was about to give birth anytime. The tenth wife, Iesha who didnʼt know how she should act as she was away from Natalya, was probably forced to sit in the eleventh seat due to the arrangement.

Eleventh wife, Lea, with Calypsea on her lap. Calypsea copied Aurelia and held Lea like she was her mother, appearing to know the emotion called affection as she clearly looked delightful while holding Lea.

The twelfth wife, Nadia, had her eyes closed, but in truth, she was feeling the weakness from pregnancy as magical beasts tend to become extremely weak in their pregnancy.

Thirteenth wife, Tanya, remained seated there with a soft smile, appearing clueless.

Fifteenth wife, Ellia, couldnʼt be any more obvious with her wicked smile as she spent time with Tia for the past few days researching something. By his guess, she was the one who probably spread information.

The sixteenth wife, Zestria, was also here, looking clueless as his seventeenth wife, Bylai,

And the new wives, from the nineteenth to the twenty-second: Shea, Yilla, Lanqua, and Panqa, were seated as well. He looked closely at them and found Shea nervous, Yilla quite intrigued, and Lanqua and Panqa excited. It was unknown if they knew, but knowing Yilla, who had access to information through her dancing class, he guessed she might be in the know.

Nonetheless, he turned to look at his to-be-wed, who showed up. She was his twenty-third wife, Everlight.

With the marriage in two days, she couldnʼt even look at him, causing him to chuckle.

”Everlight, are you ready?”

”Ah~ Yes!”

Everlight stood up and screamed out comically to Davisʼs question, causing the silent atmosphere to be blown away.

He smiled, looking at Shea.

”Whereʼs Sheria?”

Shea smiled with the crowd before she noticed she was called.

”Oh, Senior Lereza is taking care of her.”

”Are you worried?”

”No… Senior Lereza visits me all the time.”

”I see.” Davis nodded.

He had been wondering what Lereza had been up to, but she seemed to have secluded herself in cultivation for the past few weeks. He didnʼt know she occasionally visited Shea, but he guessed that it was because Sheaʼs singing was melodious and soothing and probably reminded Lereza of her own family or something.

Nonetheless, he nodded at her before moving to Sophie and caressing Aureliaʼs head. She was awake, lightly closing her eyes upon feeling her fatherʼs touch and acting cute.

”Good girl.”

He chuckled before kissing her forehead, standing up, and patting Sophieʼs shoulder, moving to the side to hold Nieraʼs hand.

”It could be any day now…” Niera pursed her lips, looking emotional.

Davis firmly nodded, ”I would be here, and your sisters are here, so be with someone all the time. Stay strong. It wouldnʼt hurt…”

Niera nodded with a relieved smile, ”I know. Please be with me when I give birth~”

”I will.”

Davis smiled and kissed her cheek before he got up and headed towards his seat, looking at Evelynn, who was already seated while holding Viridia.

Appearing in front of his seat, he didnʼt sit but turned to look around, his senses expanding.

He saw that everyone available was here, so the ones who didnʼt come were people who couldnʼt extricate themselves. He was fine with it, nodding his head.

”Everyone, I have gathered you all here for the sole purpose of announcing that I, Davis Loret, have decided to take my aunt, Tia, as my wife.”

”What!?” Logan stood up in shock.

Fortunately, Azariel was in Claireʼs embrace, and he didnʼt seem to be disturbed, appearing to be still sleeping.

”…”

Davis blinked, wondering why his mother kept this from his father or if he was playing along. Subconsciously, he looked in Tiaʼs direction to make sure she was alright, but his gaze fell on Clara, wondering if she was disappointed as he saw her eyes widen.

On the other hand, Tiaʼs cheeks blushed while her ears had gone red. She would rather get caught sleeping with him by the ladies than be faced with this issue with her parents by her side.

It was so embarrassing.

Nonetheless, Davis looked unapologetic, even raising his chin arrogantly.

”I wonʼt take any objections, but feel free to insult me. If not, Mingzhi will take over.”

Davis quickly sat, and Mingzhi swiftly stood up, panning her gaze.

”Everyone, please inject your energy into the chair to express your approval for this matter. Inject your energy for three whole seconds to express your disapproval.”

”What is this…?” Fiora asked confusingly, although her eyes appeared to know.

Mingzhi promptly explained, her voice clear and melodious, ”This is nothing but the preliminary testing of the voting rights the members of the harem council have. Your votes are anonymous, and your energy is hidden as the aura of the chair will be activated to conceal your energy. Feel free to play around with it as I need all the input I can, but for now, please vote if you all approve Tia or not.”

”…!”

Tia shuddered. There was something like this…?
