Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3519  Need A Humbling Experience

Davis let go of Nadia, telling her to leave for the time being since he wanted to train.

Nadia acquiesced and left.

”Master, do you understand what youʼre saying?” Mira watched Nadia leave before she glared at him, ”Iʼm a Level Six Immortal Emperor Earth Dragon who could easily stomp Level Nine Immortal Emperors as long as their prowess doesnʼt cross four levels higher…”

”Well, Iʼm not saying that you need to use your full strength. Suppress your cultivation base to Level One Immortal Emperor Stage and unleash your dragon soul at me. Surely, you could do it…”

”Yes… but…”

Mira looked unsure.

As an Emperor-Tier Immortal Beast, she was able to control not only her size at will but also her cultivation, which magical beasts find difficult to suppress. To her, suppressing her cultivation to the very base and maintaining it for an extended period of time wasnʼt a problem.

However, her dragon soul was different. It might not listen to her suppression and completely whack Davis.

He could potentially die, which made her hesitate a lot.

”Do it.”

Davis sat in a cross-legged position. His right handʼs elbow was on his thigh, his head resting on the back of his palm while he had a faint smirk on his lips.

”Be careful of retaliation though.”

”…”

Mira didnʼt know what to say, but since his tone felt like a challenge, she quickly suppressed her cultivation and slowly moved her lips apart, her voluptuous bosoms perking up as she absorbed the air in the vicinity before she threw her head and roared.

*Aoooo!!!~*

An incredible dragon might brimmed from the very depths and echoed throughout the chamber, resounding multiple times and causing Davisʼs head to tremble heavily. An Earth Dragon appeared in his soul sea with its imperial might, threatening to destroy him if he didnʼt submit.

He felt like his head was oscillating extremely fast and that he was going to die. His arrogant soul tried to roar back but didnʼt even have the time to fight back as its defensive layer shattered.

It was like a mountain that reached the heavens, trying to crush him, and it succeeded.

Davis fell unconscious.

His eyes, nose, and ears all bled as he fell back to the bed, appearing to be completely knocked out.

”…”

Mira trembled as she closed her mouth.

Looking at his unmoving figure, she was stiff.

She slowly closed in on him, climbing the bed as she appeared beside him and touched his chest.

”Master…?”

She looked at his figure closely, trying to make out any changes, but he seemed to have been completely knocked out with his eyes still open, except there were no pupils. The dragon soul had made his energy run amok within his body, making her unable to find out if he was-

”Master…!?”

Mira shook him more, trying to wake him up.

Her expression was covered in panic, and she looked like she was going to cry as her eyes turned moist. However, she tried to control her emotions since she was afraid her true master, Isabella, would find out about the change in her emotions and come here.

She hurriedly blocked off the pact and tried to wake up Davis with soft pushes to his chest.

”Ahh!~”

Abruptly, her head was caught by a hand, and reincarnation energy unfurled into her head, trying to invade her soul sea. However, her draconic energy stemming from the remnant energy of the dragonʼs soul roar shattered it.

Just as she tried to understand what was going on, she was yanked to the bed, and a man towered over her, pinning her hands down as he held her wrists.

It was none other than Davis, the iridescent light in his eyes shining with murderous intent as they glared at her. His lips were also turned into a grin as though he was going to hunt her.

Miraʼs heart shook.

The incredible amount of pressure she felt was unbelievable, not knowing if it was because it was Davis or because of his soul. Nevertheless, her dragon soul was equally provoked, but she knew better than not to unleash a dragon soul roar again.

She barely controlled herself from retaliating and stared at him, wondering if he was still alive- or was another entity altogether, as this wasnʼt the Davis she knew. His soul was monstrous, and if it was more powerful than her cultivation base, she could imagine being suppressed by it.

That was what irked her, but she controlled herself barely.

She remained staring at him for twenty whole seconds before the iridescent light in Davisʼs eyes receded.

His eyes were bloodshot, and his face appeared quite miserable with blood leaking from his orifices, but nevertheless, he came to his senses and let go of Mira, sitting aside her as he rubbed his head, using life energy to heal himself.

Mira sat up, lowering her head.

”Iʼm extremely sorry, Master. I-”

”No, it was good- no, perfect.”

Davis couldnʼt help but force a smile.

His soul was taught a significant lesson, and it was down right now, allowing him not to feel much influence from it. Even while he was in a weak state, he was able to take control of it and not feel any anger against Mira, which made his lips curl in delight.

Naturally, he knew he wouldnʼt be able to handle a dragon soul of Miraʼs level.

It was a dangerous idea, but he wasnʼt willing to spend a significant amount of time in this state where he could potentially raise his hands against his wives. He didnʼt want to see such a part of him come out.

Just his words were enough to cause waves to their moods, but if he raised his hand against them, then it was of little doubt it cause them to become despondent and heavily depressed.

Even his acting against Tanya to oust Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion made Tanya suffer greatly, and he felt incredibly apologetic about it that he didnʼt think a few apologies would make up for it.

He didnʼt want to see a repeat of that, no matter what.

Therefore, he imagined that he had no idea but to rely on Mira. He couldnʼt think of anything more arrogant than an Emperor-Tier Dragon, and Mira was the only one who fit the idea, and just as he expected, she was easily able to defend against his unfocused retaliation.

All his available focus was dedicated to not accidentally using Fallen Heaven on Mira, so he was unable to stop himself from attacking her. He also told Fallen Heaven not to listen to his arrogant impulses during this time, so there was another layer of shield for Mira.

He believed her, and she made his wishes come true, finally dredging most of the influence of the arrogant aspect of his soul.

”Well, one or two more of these dragon soul roars, and I would finally-”

”No~”

Mira stuck out her bottom lip, appearing like she was going to cry, ”I donʼt want to hurt Master.”

”…”

Davis was about to tell her that he would rest first and take those attacks again, but looking at her gaze at him worriedly, he was unable to bring himself to say it. He didnʼt think she would care for him this much.

He extended his hand and patted her head, ”Alright, you donʼt have to do it if you donʼt want to, no matter what.”

He remembered extracting blood essence from her. Such a cruel method, and she endured it like a champ, but she couldnʼt bring herself to harm anyone she cared about. He loved this aspect of his family, and he saw Mira the same.

She was just like-

*Creak!~*

”Whatʼs going on? Why is Mira sad? Did some- oh~”

Isabella came storming in and abruptly looked at Davis holding Mira on the bed in close proximity, her expression turning blank.
