Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2893 Realm Above

Davis was interested in both things. He wanted to know where he stood among these giants and, at the same time, also wanted to know more about the First Haven World as he wanted to be able to maneuver better in case everything was going south.

He determinedly nodded his head, wanting to know more about the First Haven World and its master.

”What do you want to know?”

”Who is the world mast-”

Davis had just asked when he suddenly stiffened.

*RUMBLE!~*

For a moment, everything was still and silent, as though the world was holding its breath. Then, with a deafening roar, the skies and land erupted into a wild cacophony of sound and fury. The wind howled, the rain poured down, and the strange lightning arcs crackled across the sky, even over the dark clouds. The rumbling was so loud that Davis could feel it deep in his bones.

He glanced down and saw the trees around him swaying and shaking, their leaves rustling loudly in the wind. The three Divergent Slayers, who were deathly silent, were also greatly alarmed, and the ground shook even harder, causing them to go stiff.

*Rumble!~*

The heavens also released a rumbling that exuded its anger for being interrupted. However, it didnʼt seem to be able to strike anyone or anywhere, only continuing to resound its fury.

But soon, it quietened down, causing the darkened skies to stop shuddering as well.

”Hoho?~” The Celestial Transcendent raised his brows, ”This worldʼs master is saying that I mustnʼt reveal anything. Still stubborn and secretive, worried about the karmic burden, I see.”

”Even at the world masterʼs level, theyʼre still worried about being inflicted with karmic burden?”

Davisʼs brows twitched.

Just how strong were the heavens? Could it even be put in a category?

He inwardly grumbled before he became slightly relaxed and asked.

”Not exactly. The world master is relaying their intent that they donʼt want to fight with the heavens. What theyʼre worried about is the karmic burden falling on you because there are just some things that you shouldnʼt be hearing at your little level. Although youʼre an Anarchic Divergent, youʼre still an immortal fledgling who could be blown away by a single breath of a Peak Immortal Emperor, much less an Empyreanʼs breath.”

”Empyrean…” Davis muttered in doubt.

However, his mind wasnʼt concerned about that term but something else. The world master was worried that he would incur karmic burden? What did that mean?

He had considered if the world master was his ally many times since Fallen Heaven wasnʼt taken away even after his death. However, he didnʼt eliminate the possibility that he was being used or prepared for something else.

After all, he had read too many stories to know that he could be used as a sacrifice for the world masterʼs unknown ambitions. Unless he knew the world masterʼs true intent, he felt like he could never see them as an ally or a silent protector.

”Thatʼs right. The Empyrean Stage is the stage after the Immortal Emperor Stage in the Immortal Cultivation System. In the Transcendent Cultivation System, it is called the Autarch Stage.”

”Wait a moment!” Davis raised both his hands at the Celestial Transcendent.

”I donʼt even know the stages that come before the Autarch Stage. Will the Celestial Transcendent be kind enough to explain them to me? I want to know more.”

He blinked innocently like he was a child listening to an adult with the utmost interest. It made the Celestial Transcendent blink, his expression appearing speechless. He muttered something as he shook his head before sounding out loud.

”Transcendent Stage, Monarch Stage, Sovereign Stage, Autarch Stage, and the one next to that… your better off not knowing it as that incurs a huge amount of karmic burden even for you. Even knowing about the Empyrean Stage or Autarch Stage is off-limits to normal immortals. Only Immortal Emperors are allowed to know or come into contact with those terms, and even if lesser immortals came into contact with this knowledge, theyʼre better off not transmitting this information to other people until they enter the Immortal Emperor Stage to save themselves from karmic burden which would seal their growth.”

The Celestial Transcendent gently advised like a genial old man living next door, full of compassion and good intentions.

Davis felt his heart churn with warmth for some reason, but that only made him feel more cautious. Nonetheless, he opened his mouth.

”I see. Then which cultivation system is better?”

”It depends on a lot of factors, but generally, I donʼt think one is better than the other. If anything, the Transcendent Cultivation System is adapted from the Seraphim Race, while the Immortal Cultivation System is made from the Immortal Beast and Spirit Race. The Transcendent Cultivation System is more appreciative of the heavens than the Immortal Cultivation System as the latter plunder and not give back, unlike the Transcendent Cultivation System.”

”Therefore, the Transcendent System has easier cultivation progress, better prowess due to three cultivations combined into one, slightly easier tribulations, better conservation of energy, and many other advantages.”

eaglesnovɐ1,сoМ Davisʼs lips twitched in response, ”Isnʼt that way better than Immortal Cultivation System?”

The Celestial Transcendent couldnʼt help but silently laugh.

”Thatʼs true. The general populace has arrived in the Three-Layered Universe and has come to the conclusion that the Transcendent Cultivation System is way better and almost abandoned the Immortal Cultivation System. Although there hasnʼt been any census as the Three-Layered Universe is vast beyond compare, it is speculated that only one percent of the Three-Layered Universeʼs humans use the Immortal Cultivation System.”

”O-One percent..?” Davis gawked.

”But, the Transcendent Cultivation System lacks ʼimmortalityʼ, and by immortality, I mean that it is easier to kill transcendents as long as you destroy the Transcendent Wheel in their bodies, causing them to decay into heaven and earth energy sooner or later. After all, even the soul is connected to their single dantian, unlike the Immortal Cultivation System that has two dantians, making it easier for Immortals to escape with their souls, unlike Transcendents who cannot do something like that until they reach the Autarch Stage where they can finally separate their souls from their bodies.”

”However, how many people can reach the Autarch Stage? Those who have confidence will naturally choose the Transcendent Cultivation System as they try to keep themselves safe until they reach the Autarch Stage, and those who lack confidence or are poor will also choose the Transcendent Cultivation System since itʼs easier to traverse that path and bestows more prowess than early immortals. These advantages made it so that the Immortal Cultivation System is pushed to near extinction, but I can see the world master here decided to preserve it by banning Transcendent Cultivation System altogether.”

”After all, I donʼt sense a single person cultivating the Transcendent Cultivation System here- wait… isnʼt that… isnʼt that Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion, Vile Enchanter Kieran Hartley, Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow? What are these Empyreans and Autarchs doing here in seed form?”

The Celestial Transcendent was full of doubt, his expression frowning as he looked into the distance.

But on the other side, Davisʼs expression sank heavily.

There are two more from the true immortal world enjoying their stay here? For what reason!? Their titles didnʼt sound any better than the Accursed Warlock Fraser Herrion!

”Thereʼs another trace thatʼs weaker but could be stronger than the others due to the fact that itʼs their main body. I presume thatʼs Saintess Myria. Ah, now I see.”

The Celestial Transcendent lightly smiled as he squinted his brows, ”Interesting...”

”Wait… what did you call Myria?”

Davis flinched at the Celestial Transcendentʼs words, causing him to blurt out his question.

Why didnʼt the Celestial Transcendent not call Myria a Fiend but choose to use evil titles for the others?
