Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2879  Walking Calamity

”Young Clan Lord!”

A few elders picked up Lars Zenflame and shot off into the distance.

However, Davis didnʼt stop them, knowing that his target was already dead. But he could see the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs members running off with dread fueling their expressions, making him want to chase them to their deaths.

ʼThey didnʼt even bother to throw an attack at me…?ʼ

He saw even Grand Elders of every alliance run, momentarily astonishing him as he was prepared to use defensive talismans to defend himself.

After all, there were still seven more seconds left until the first strike of his Annihilative Immortal King Tribulation, so he wouldnʼt aggravate his tribulation.

ʼClearly, theyʼre afraid of being karmic burdened… and this pressure...ʼ

Davis felt an incredible chill that oozed out of his soul. If even he, an experienced annihilation tribulationist, was feeling like this, then he could only imagine what the others were feeling. However, in the corner of his eyes, he saw the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder watch over him from the gaping hole before leaving.

ʼThat woman… is she a Divergent…?ʼ

He knew the only ones who could at least stay sane in this pressure were the likes of Wix Voidfield and Stella Voidfield, who both were Divergents.

The fourth second ticked.

Immortals could travel at hundreds of kilometers per second if they started using their energy seriously instead of conserving at a rate that doesnʼt exceed consumption, including Immortal Kings, who could travel in hundred thousand kilometers, and Immortal Emperors, who could travel a million kilometers per second!

So by now, there was no one left in the palace.

They used their full might to run, probably even leaving their battleships behind as it would take time to start them.

However, he turned to look at a woman behind him, looking at him with a dumbfounded expression on her face. She was completely frozen, her legs not even moving as she stayed on her butt and looked at him.

”Are you insane?”

He asked Yilla Zyrus but waved his hand, causing her to disappear. He forcefully pulled her into his life ring, and she was powerless to resist, or rather, she displayed no resistance in front of the heavenʼs dreadful annihilative might, having been completely petrified by it, or so he thought.

Nonetheless, the moment the fifth second ticked, Davis disappeared out of the palace.

Heavenly lightning flashed outside the palace, shooting toward the distance while being encompassed by a world of darkness.

”Woah… itʼs like the world is going to end...”

Back then, he was in the Void Dust Secret Realm, but now that he was in the First Haven World, he saw that the horizons were filled with dark clouds, completely blotting out the world with darkness until the very end of what one could possibly see.

It was worse than night, having no moon or sun.

It was complete darkness, only the flashing of dark

”No wonder people want to kill me...”

If he saw some person invoke this phenomenon, he would want to kill them too.

Nonetheless, he quickly appeared at a city, seeing the lights sprawl over while the people inside seemed to be shuddering for their lives, unable to move. Looking at them, his eyes became colder than a devilʼs.

”If I canʼt catch you, Iʼll simply make you come to me...”

*Rumble!~*

=========

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

Many rays of light shot past the horizon, and it was in the hundreds and thousands.

”Bastard! Who was that!? Dead End!?”

”It was obviously Saint Mo Tian showing his true self as an Anarchic Divergent!”

”Are you a retard!? How can a Saint be- ”

”Itʼs the Emperor of Death!”

Amidst the many confused voices, Great Ancestor Zenflame bellowed out. His fists were clenched, and his entire body was shuddering, but he repeated his line once again, causing the numerous immortals around him to be shocked at him.

”He was Saint Mo Tian all along…”

”But life and death energy canʼt exist-”

”Thatʼs not important, you fool!”

Great Ancestor Zenflame turned to look at Patriarch Killian Zenflame, his eyes bloodshot.

”You… you have brought a calamity to our Fire Phoenix Clan.”

”Shut up! I did what I had to as the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Patriarch!”

”You donʼt deserve to be the Patriarch!” Hirona coldly spat out.

”You fool!” Sierra screamed, ”Do you know what it means to offend an Anarchic Divergent!? The supremest of the dragon clan, the entire Azure Dragon Clan, was destroyed overnight because they unwittingly offended an Anarchic Divergent!”

”What are you three blabbering about!?” Patriarch Killian Zenflame roared, ”This would have never happened if you lot didnʼt burn the Blood Soul Contract! But weʼre not going to talk about that. We can still kill him! Even if he passes the tribulation, he would be nothing but an Immortal King brat. If we surround him from all sides, he wonʼt survive!”

His gaze became fraught with killing intent, causing the three immortal inheritors of the Fire Phoenix Clan to be dumbfounded.

”Actually, where are the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs people!? I canʼt believe they actually harbored an Anarchic Divergent as a disciple. This is grounds to exterminate them from the face of this world!”

Patriarch Killian Zenflame laughed out loud, looking like he had gone insane.

Great Ancestor Zenflame heaved a sigh, sending a soul transmission to Hirona and Sierra.

”Iʼll end him.”

”Itʼs impossible.”

”The Grand Elders are also flying with us...”

”Block them.”

Hirona and Sierraʼs gaze flickered as they heard their first inheritorʼs decision. When the lightning flashed above them, turning the darkness into light, they were ready to move when darkness returned. However, they suddenly saw the light reach the end of the tunnel, the distance horizon becoming sunny again.

”What-?”

Everyone became stunned, coming to a slow stop as they saw the dark clouds receding.

The tribulation clouds covered the area of an entire Prefecture as far as they could tell, perhaps even more. Still, for it to recede out of their vision would mean the tribulation taker was dead or…

”He… heʼs moving… in the direction opposite to us…”

When many were rejoicing the Emperor of Deathʼs sudden death again, the Great Ancestor Zenflame uttered, causing everyoneʼs expression to freeze.

”Opposite to us… that means…”

Hironaʼs heart skipped a beat while Sierraʼs expression became one of despair as she felt goosebumps, her body suddenly shooting towards the receding clouds like a blazing star.

”He went towards the Fire Phoenix Clan!”

She screamed out, causing everyone to come to their senses.

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

Everyone from the Fire Phoenix Clan rushed back while the other powers looked at them, stunned.

Because they subconsciously followed the one who escaped first, the Aurora Cloud Gate, they headed in the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs direction. Later on, they also felt that if it was the Emperor of Death or anyone for that matter, they wouldnʼt dare come here as the Aurora Cloud Gate was truly a mysterious power with many defenses in place.

They were assured that the Emperor of Death or whoever it was would be busy defending against the tribulation and never dare to follow them but never did they expect him to actually move away, heading to Fire Phoenix Clan to enact whatever it was, whether it may be revenge or simply unreasonable devastation.

Within a minute, Great Ancestor Zenflame and other Fire Phoenix Clan members reached a city, but sensing the aura of annihilative heavenly tribulation lightning having wrecked this border city filled with millions of people, despair filled their hearts.

When they raised their heads and saw the dark clouds covering their entire view, they knew the Emperor of Death was still alive, having headed to the central region of the Western Fire Phoenix Clan Prefecture.

Now, their entire Western Fire Phoenix Prefecture was blotted under the wrath of the heavens, karmic burden completely swirling in their region like it was a gigantic invisible twister that couldnʼt be seen.
