Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2885 Inner Change?

Just moments before the Annihilative Immortal King Tribulation began-

-a white-robed woman trembled underneath the palace dome hosted by the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan. She appeared troubled, even stiff, as her expression became convoluted with hesitation and dread.

”I advice everyone unrelated to run… fly as far away as you can...”

*RUMBLE!!!~*

The second those calm words fell, thunderous sounds of the skies exploding with wrath could be heard, causing that white-robed woman to twitch before she raised her head and glared at her big brother, her eyes taking on a purple shade.

But abruptly, she felt a heavy force strike the back of her neck, causing her eyes to go wide and her lips to part.

”Big sister Ellia, you...”

Tia appeared shaken as she saw Ellia strike Clara with the back of her hand, causing the latter to faint. However, Ellia instantly took hold of Clara and shook her head.

”Itʼs fine, but now, we must leave.”

Tia did nothing but nod her head along with the others. As soon as Isabella arrived with Shirley, they left the palace, shooting into the distance with the elders carrying them away as far as possible. Some of them felt their hearts shaken as they saw that the world was overcome by darkness, especially Lea and the others who saw that this phenomenon undoubtedly had a connection to their husband.

The spectacle was so ominous and dreadful, but they knew he symbolized anything but that, causing them to clench their teeth as to why they must suffer like this.

But to Ellia, who already had inherited memories of being hunted by the heavens like this, there was not a single change of expression in her gaze. Instead, there was worry on her face as she cast a glance at Clara, who she carried in her arms.

”A heavenʼs warrior, huh? What kind of cruel fate is this…?”

Elder Aradiel Furiose lightly sighed as he glanced over at Ellia and Clara. He knew that Clara was Davis Alstreimʼs little sister. Everyone knew of it as his family tree was almost public knowledge in the world after he picked a fight with the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clan, with only a few individuals not bothering about him the slightest bit as they hadnʼt crossed paths.

Hearing Elder Aradiel Furioseʼs words while he caught up to them, Ellia squinted her brows, thinking that it was expected this old man who had lived for millions of years among Divergents would be able to tell what was wrong with a look.

After all, there would be no other reason for her to knock Clara down when the Annihilative Immortal King Tribulation descended unless Clara was impulsive, which was the conclusion one might arrive at no matter who may have laid eyes upon her cold countenance.

Elder Aradiel Furiose also revealed a complex gaze in his eyes.

To think that little brat was truly an Anarchic Divergent. He knew Saintess Lunaria mustʼve known about this matter but still let him join. In that case, he wondered if that woman known as Fairy Myria was also an Anarchic Divergent, not to mention her little sister, Ellia.

His gaze flickered, but he didnʼt do anything, returning to look straight ahead as they came out of the hellish scene of dark clouds covering till it made the horizons vanish.

Nonetheless, he knew not to let his guard down.

After all, Davis Alstreim pulled something like bringing down his accursed tribulation, probably inflicting thousands of immortals with karmic burden, even if it was the slightest bit.

It became a valid reason for them to go to war with the Aurora Cloud Gate that they would be unable to stay out of this matter.

ʼUnless, of course, we denounce and exile him altogether or feign ignorance...ʼ

He thought but-

”I really couldnʼt find any fault with his decision right now.”

Elder Aradiel Furiose voiced out.

”Thank you, elder.” Isabella lightly nodded her head to him in response while the other women also smiled.

Even they had no idea what their husband was going to do other than a few who seemed to be privy- no, guess what he would do, and they were right on the mark. However, there wasnʼt the slightest bit of worry in their eyes for his safety, for they believed that he would come back.

”What is there to thank? If the recipient of that deceptive Blood Soul Contract had been my wife, then even if I canʼt beat the Fire Phoenix Clan, we both can no longer live under the same sky.”

”True.”

Elder Aradiel Furiose laughed lightly, causing Isabella to nod as even she couldnʼt come to terms with how the Fire Phoenix Clan decided to treat Shirley. She thought the Dragon Clans in the Grand Beginnings Continent were worse, but here, it was just the opposite.

The Fire Phoenix Clan turned out to be ungrateful, devious, and greedy bastards.

”Thatʼs right. Even my blood boiled.”

”Just the sight of that Blood Soul Contract made me almost puke.”

”If it were not for that tribulation, I wouldʼve personally slaughtered them all. My saber thirsts for more and more blood!”

Elder Whitejoy, Elder Frostbite, and Elder Earthsaber appeared enraged and offended by the things they had seen.

”Shut up, you irresponsible lads.”

However, Elder Aradiel Furiose berated them, causing them to become silent before he cleared his throat.

”Hehem- elders, we will reach our home soon, so letʼs inform the Grand Elders and fortify our defenses.”

”Yes~”

The elders from the External Affairs Department acknowledged this. It seems they were used to the quirkiness of almost all the elders that they didnʼt mind the support for an Anarchic Divergent. Perhaps, they were also privy to certain things, but whatever it was, the ladies felt comfortable traversing with them.

Countless immortals had followed them to the easternmost branch of the Aurora Cloud Gate.

They had nowhere to go with the sudden descent of an Anarchic Divergentʼs Immortal King Tribulation, seeking shelter in the nearest safe location. They had even abandoned their ships after all.

”Aurora Cloud Gate, you owe us an explanation!”

”Yes! We arenʼt going anywhere without being compensated for our your discipleʼs evil actions! ”

”He is being punished by the heavens!”

Many disgruntled and furious voices resounded at the easternmost branchʼs entrance.

The elders frowned but didnʼt respond instantly, waiting for Elder Aradiel Furioseʼs words. After all, he may be an Elder at the headquarters, but in this branch, he was the Sect Master.

”Take the kids inside.” Elder Aradiel Furiose commanded, causing the others to follow his words.

Ellia and the others headed further inside while the people from the tens of alliances remained at the entrance, waiting for Elder Aradiel Furiose- no, the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs official response.
