Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2875  Ungodly Amount...?

Davis showed up at the banquet, which seemed to be filling slowly.

It was unknown how people lived their nights alone, but one could see that it was filled with an amorous atmosphere as it wasnʼt only Yilla Zyrus and the others who made their decisions tonight. If anything, he could sense a minute loss of yin energy in the atmosphere than before, making him believe that many female geniuses were robbed or courted out of their primal yin yesterday night.

Nonetheless, that didnʼt matter to him as he went straight to a person who seemed to be up early, still looking lazy and seductive.

”Where were you yesterday night?”

”What is this…?”

The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder widened her eyes at Davis.

”Could it be that the Saint is interested in me?”

”Donʼt be so delusional. You werenʼt in your assigned quarters yesterday night, werenʼt you?”

Davisʼs voice was cold. In fact, he didnʼt seem to use his voice as Mo Tian, causing the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder to blink. However, she released an amused smile behind her veil.

”Thatʼs right. Were you looking to meet me in my room? Otherwise, why would you know I left my soul body there?”

Davisʼs gaze flickered. This tone… he felt like she sounded him out instead of him.

He chuckled with unamusement, turning around to leave.

”Wait.”

”You canʼt just appear, ask questions and leave. Did something happen yesterday? Tell me. This old lady wants to know.”

She appeared by his side after she stood up from her seat, looking at him with interest.

”None of your concern.”

Davis dropped a few words and left, his voice returning to Mo Tian.

However, the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founders eyes gleamed, a playful smile hanging over her lips hidden behind her veil.

ʼThis is useless… she knows how to guard herself from the get-go…ʼ Davis thought.

His actions were spontaneous and didnʼt leave any corners left to escape as he confronted her, but she seemed experienced enough not to lose in an exchange between wits, even trying to sound him out.

He could tell that she was in her room, but even that may seem like a scheme of hers to misdirect him, which eventually made him confused. She was a tough nut to crack, disallowing him to see through her words.

ʼHowever, if it is not her, then who is it?ʼ

Davis turned to look at Yilla Zyrus as she sent a physical soul transmission.

”I still havenʼt taken you out of the suspicion zone.”

Davis wondered when suddenly two soft arms wrapped around his arm.

”Let me help you find the culprit.”

”…?”

Davis turned to look at Yilla Zyrus as she sent a physical soul transmission.

”I still havenʼt taken you out of the suspicion zone.”

Davis spoke, but it was a lie. He knew that she wasnʼt lying, but he didnʼt know how to feel about her as he had little interaction with her.

For the twins and Shea Goldsun, he did have endearing feelings, but for this woman, there was only lust. However, he felt lust for many women, like the Celestial Fairies, and he never intended to wife any one of them up, but there was an accident that forced him into this situation with Yilla Zyrus, making his thoughts a mess.

He could only wonder what Yilla Zyrus was feeling. He could even sense anger from her at this moment, perhaps because he said he didnʼt believe in her.

”Thatʼs alright.”

However, she spoke in a satisfied voice, ”Iʼm fine with the result and even grateful to whoever did this, but I personally want to know who planned this out as this wasnʼt a choice you made. Couldnʼt you feel my anger? I may not be a Celestial Fairy, but I also have my pride, and that pride as a woman is cracked since you didnʼt choose me yourself.”

Her voice became cold, causing Davisʼs expression to twitch.

He still didnʼt know what to feel about this woman as his heart felt conflicted, but his mind affixed the fact that she was his.

”Do as you please. I donʼt think you will be able to find such an entity anyway. For all we know, the perpetrator could have escaped after everything was over, so collect the list of guests who appeared here if you can and see who left early.”

”That should be with the Fire Phoenix Clan or the Earth Dragon Clan. You should have more luck accessing it than me. As for me...”

”I will check a few people who are aware of underground auctions.”

Davis abruptly stopped, looking at Yilla Zyrus with a horrified expression as he realized something.

”Your seeds might already be put up for sale.” Yilla Zyrusʼs voice became amused, ”For an ungodly amount, that is...”

”…”

She left him frozen in a different way than he thought she would.

However, he came back to himself, wondering why he would help her. If anything, shouldnʼt she go after her spirit now that she could claim to be his woman?

Using that influence, she could even start influencing her Zyrus Family or the Dynastic Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe if she planned it right, and he knew she could since she wasnʼt stupid and was even more, brighter than Lanqua in his eyes, even cunning.

Nonetheless…

ʼFuck…! The seeds are too elusive to be detected by karmic threads… or my comprehension isnʼt enough...ʼ

Blood could be commonly traced, and so were any other bodily fluids for that matter, but a manʼs seeds? Those couldnʼt be found unless they were very, very close, perhaps because of the fact that they were the origin of life itself.

They had a strong resistance against karmic detection unless they manifested into life.

Davis had tried using his karmic prowess but was useless in detecting them.

However, he was scared. He never knew such fear existed, the fear of having a child with a woman whom he had never met and never even shared an intimate connection with.

Even if he was one of the victims here, he couldnʼt act like he didnʼt have that child. He wasnʼt that heartless, but that woman who could buy the seed from an underground auction, he didnʼt know how to feel about her either but was angry at them all regardless for stealing his seeds.

He felt frustrated and mortified, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Nonetheless, he suppressed his pounding heart and took a deep breath, his gaze becoming resolute as he saw the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Patriarch and the Earth Dragon Clanʼs Patriarch arrive on the stage with their immortal inheritors.

ʼLooks like having Shirley and Isabella urge their immortal clans worked well...ʼ

Just as he was getting tired of their delays and wanted to avoid certain events, he had his women speed things up, but something had happened as he feared, except in a manner that he didnʼt predict.

Nevertheless, he knew it was time for the Blood Soul Contract to be revealed as he saw the scroll in the Fire Phoenix Patriarch, Killian Zenflameʼs hands.
