Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2867  Trying To Clear The Air

The young heavenly geniuses of the First Haven World were shocked beyond compare.

Their gazes when looking at Mo Tian were one of reverence, but there was also unwillingness present in the deepest depths of their hearts as they were unable to comprehend how a Saint could be so powerful.

Was this the case for the Saints and Saintess in the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance?

They didnʼt know, but they were disheartened to learn such a person could exist. In front of Saint Mo Tian, they found it hard to call themselves heavenly geniuses or supreme geniuses. That title seemed to be a joke in front of him.

However, this was not the case for a few individuals like Young Master Haizen Rubyshroud. They still saw Saint Mo Tian as something lower than them as defensive prowess could never match their offensive prowess or experience in battle, so they didnʼt count him as a serious threat, especially when he was a true Saint whom they shouldnʼt offend but get into his graces.

But looking at the expressions of the women gathering in this hall, although they didnʼt consider him a serious threat, it was only for battle as they could thoroughly imagine him taking their women of dreams away with just a single word of acceptance.

On the other hand, Davis saw that the crowd was accepting of him as a Saint for the most part.

He couldnʼt help but think if they only knew who he was, but at the same time, he also thought how wonderful it would be to only have Life Laws, being protected by everyone around him, given immense respect and extraordinary benefits.

His life wouldʼve been completely different, and so would Myria, Ellia, and Everlightʼs life.

Unfortunately, they were Divergents, one even an Anarchic Divergent, so that was impossible. Only Everlight could live a life like that, but even she was now inflicted with extreme amounts of karmic burden for reviving him. It was unknown if the tribulation would be normal or turned into one of annihilation.

But no matter what it is, he was prepared to even do sinful things to allow her to cross the tribulation thatʼs pretty much hopeless for her right now, by his estimation. Although he was the one who made her a Nine Lives Gracious Fox, he hadnʼt done anything to warrant her undying loyalty.

At least, that was what he felt. She was too sacred in his eyes, willing to toil away her life for him for reasons he couldnʼt comprehend, which made her precious to him.

Nonetheless, he got off the stage and flew towards his women.

However, they already seemed preoccupied with the youngsters around them.

Fortunately, they were mostly surrounded by women, or else he would have started to feel annoyed. Even the Celestial Fairies were talking to them, Isabella and Shirley, to be accurate. But on the other hand, there were also men from the Dragon and Phoenix Families present, their intentions unknown.

Still, he could see that Bylai and Zestria were speaking to the Young Clan Lords from the Fire Dragon Clan and Golden Dragon Clan.

They were actually talking about him, the Emperor of Death, to be exact.

But the moment he appeared, the attention that was spread across focused on him as the brightest star of this gathering.

”Saint Mo Tian, I really didnʼt think you were this strong. I think Iʼm getting more and more willing to marry you as I get to know more about you.”

Fairy Aila Cherryweave waved her hands as she spoke with an excited feeling.

Davis pursed his lips, ”If you get to know more about me, I think you will change your mind faster than the Wind Dragon Clanʼs Patriarch can move.”

”Hehe~ Saint Mo Tian knows how to be funny. Canʼt you see how the other fairies are looking at you?”

She giggled, causing Davis to pan his head. For some reason, his gaze fell on the Golden Phoenix Clanʼs Celestial Fairy.

Fairy Mei Novaraʼs gaze shook before she averted her gaze.

”…”

Many gazes flickered as they saw Fairy Mei Novara blushing behind her elusive veil.

”You-! So youʼre the one Saint Mo Tian is interested in. Just so you know, I wonʼt lose!”

Fairy Aila Cherryweave declared, causing Davis to be dumbfounded.

Doesnʼt this woman know how to be truly reserved? Since she was a Celestial Fairy, she truly opened his eyes, breaking open his image of what a fairy would look like, yet she still had the external appearance of one.

But he could tell she was outgoing and forthright, not hiding much when it came to what she thought and did.

Nonetheless, her words made Fairy Mei Novaraʼs gaze flicker as she glared at her.

”Donʼt go around making rumors. Has the Saint ever said that he is interested in me?”

”Huh? Is that so?”

Fairy Aila Cherryweave turned to look at Mo Tian, causing him to nod his head. He raised his hands, cupping them.

”Fairies, Iʼm afraid that Iʼm so boorish that Iʼm not worthy of your hands. Now, if youʼll please excuse me.”

”Boorish…? Not at all...” Fairy Mei Novara said as she lightly raised her hand.

However, Davis excused himself and walked past their circle, reaching his women.

”So what if he is dead? Would you like to die with your name still framed?”

”I think not.”

”Then why shouldnʼt we clear out husbandʼs name? Although we were indeed taken prisoners back then, he didnʼt force us. We willingly wanted to be with him.”

”True. At a glance, he seems evil because of his powers, but he is the most compassionate person we have ever seen.”

”Is that so…?”

”…”

He saw Bylai and Zestria still engaged in a conversation with the representatives of their respective clans. Seeing them speak up for him, he almost smiled but didnʼt pay attention to them as he gazed at Isabella.

”It seems we had a misunderstanding. Come, letʼs talk about where we can have privacy.”

”What?” Isabella raised her brows, causing Davis to chuckle.

”I meant I want to talk with your group.”

He turned to look at someone and cupped his hands, ”I trust that you can arrange a room where we can share our thoughts privately on what went wrong since I donʼt want to be questioned and doubted again and again. Itʼs all becoming tiresome.”

The person Davis asked had his brows twitch.

He looked at Isabella and then at Davis, a smile overcoming his expression.

”Of course, this gathering also has space for privacy as this isnʼt just any gathering but the congregation of heavenly geniuses from all over the world. This way, please.”

The Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Young Clan Lord, Lars Zenflame, gestured to Mo Tian and the others, taking them to a corner.

Isabella and the others frowned as they looked at each other, but seeing the twins and Shea Goldsun accompany him with his gesture, they eventually followed them.

There were many rooms here that seemed to be arranged by the Fire Phoenix Clan for this endeavor.

Davis also saw that the other rooms were occupied, meaning that some were indeed meeting in secrecy or privacy. At a glance, this bunch of youths seemed to be here to compare strengths, but he knew not to forget that these people were also the next leaders of their powers.

If they didnʼt create connections here, then they would find it difficult to maneuver in the future.

With him entering a room along with Isabella and the others, the hall became abuzz with speculation.

”Donʼt tell me that Saint Mo Tian is interested in married women?”

”How can it be? Didnʼt you hear that he said that the Starlight Jade Wolf King wanted him to look after them since theyʼre allied?”

”Indeed. Besides, heʼs not just alone with them. Those three useless women also went with him.”

”Ai, thereʼs no need to be jealous~ You can also be with him if youʼre willing to act like a servant.”

”Maybe I should.”

”Heh~ Even that is a privilege at this point.”

Some circles speculated his intentions, and some others, speculated his origin, wondering if he already knew them since they didnʼt seem to like each other.

Inside the private room, Davis turned to look at Young Clan Lord Lars Zenflame and gestured.

”Thank you for your hospitality. Weʼll take over from here.”

Lars Zenflame blinked as though he didnʼt expect to be sent out. However, a smile quickly flashed on his face as he extended out his hand, a jade container appearing on the palm of his hands.

”This is…?

Davis raised his brows, feeling that it contained good stuff from the heaven and earth energy surging around it.

”Ah, this is nothing but a small gesture of apology for the rudeness my Fire Phoenix Clan has unwittingly displayed to your respectful stature. Outside, I was embarrassed to give it to you, but now that weʼre here, I hope you can accept this apology from my Fire Phoenix Clan.”

Lars Zenflame smiled, his voice benign and convincing.

Davis stared at the gift for a few moments before deciding to accept it, reaching out his hands. The moment his hand grasped the jade container, Larsʼs Zenflame finger touched his hand when a soul transmission fell on Davisʼs mind.

”Whatever you may have in mind, leave our fourth inheritor out of it because she is mine.”

”…”

Davis stared at Lars Zenflame, who still had a pleasing smile on his face. His hand seemed to stop in motion but then took the jade container, his lips curling.

”Ahaha. Of course. Why would I be stubborn when the Fire Phoenix Clan wants to admit their wrongs and make things right with me? Send the Fire Phoenix Patriarch… my regards...”

”Very good. I will relay this perfect news to my Patriarch, so I wish the Saint can clarify the misunderstanding you have with them.”

”Sure.”

Davis smiled.

Lars Zenflame nodded before he left, leaving them in this private room.

”Looks like the Fire Phoenix Clan really wants to die. Donʼt you think, Shirley?”

Abruptly, Mo Tianʼs voice changed, causing Panqa and Lanquaʼs gaze to shudder while Shea Goldsun also took a step back, not knowing who this person was as the voice was entirely different from what she had heard.
