Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2485 Out From Seclusion

With Evelynn on guard, Davis was unable to extract information from her, causing him to smile lightly.

His intent wasnʼt to know about the inheritance treasures but to know if they had shared precious information with each other. If they did, it meant things were going well between them, causing him to heave a sigh of relief somewhere in the corner of his heart.

It had been slightly more than a yearʼs time since they had begun training in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace, becoming stronger in cultivation and more powerful in prowess ten times faster. However, so many encounters also took place, where Lereza handed everyone a reward. He was also worried that during this time, some heated arguments couldʼve taken place between his women for some unknown reason.

Was a harem a peaceful gathering? He didnʼt think so.

Even if they werenʼt jealous of each other, the difference of opinions between them would always ignite a spark and might explode over the slightest inflation of ego. Fortunately, by Evelynnʼs expression and the way others behaved, he could see that nothing of that sort had happened.

ʼAh, I continue to remain lucky when it comes to women...ʼ

With Evelynn by his side, Davis was in a good mood as he returned to the mansion. The anger that seeped into his heart and soul during the altercation with the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clan also became irrelevant at the moment.

But still, he was also eager to know what Shirleyʼs two immortal inheritances held in store for them, quickening his pace.

Soon, they met with the two gorgeous women who were waiting for them.

”Husband, youʼre back~”

Fiora cheerfully smiled as she welcomed him. Mingzhiʼs smile was radiant too.

”What? Are you two satisfied with the residence?”

”Satisfied? Weʼre floored. The mansionʼs interior design is simply too pleasing to the eye. Thereʼs even a hot spring located inside the inner courtyard.”

”Right? I thought it wouldnʼt be anything amazing as the grade of the materials used to build itself was high. Who wouldʼve thought that the Aurora Cloud Gate pays attention to like these?”

Fiora and Mingzhi heaved a satisfied sigh, unable to believe that they had such a mansion now. Moreover, the entire residence belonging to Davis alone was as huge as the Grand Alstreim City. To be occupying the entire island, they were excited, to say the least.

Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle, ”I already asked the workers, and they said that almost everything is customizable as long as you have enough contribution points.”

”Sweet~ If only I stepped into the Immortal Stage, I mightʼve been able to help you.”

”Aha, not a chance.” Davis smilingly shook his head.

”Hmph! I was so nice but you? Beh~”

”Ahahaha~”

Mingzhi shot a playful tongue at him, eliciting laughter from the others. At this point, Ellia, Nadia, Isabella, and Shirley also joined them. However, his gaze remained on Fiora and Mingzhi.

He could tell that these two were just a bit away from stepping into the Immortal Stage, having already peaked their cultivation bases in the Ninth Stage. Their uniqueness was also at the Supreme Immortal level, making it so that they would also have a similar prowess to Natalya in the future, perhaps lower since they lacked the advantage of having two Laws like Natalya and Shirley.

The former was mastering Ice and Yin, while the latter was mastering Fire and Ice. Fiora and Mingzhi could not possibly match their big sisters with their single law route. However, with Zephya, who had become a Regal Sky Gale Spirit, Fiora could perhaps catch up.

Nonetheless, Nadia and Shirley reported that there was nothing of suspicion on their side. They discussed what to do with their residence as they entered the mansion, and then the conversation moved to outside their residence, where they discussed the sect and his adventures.

As time passed, many stepped out from seclusion and joined them, catching up on the times as they shared each of their improvements.

Lea waved him a greeting behind her shy expression while keeping her magnificent bearing. Tanya, Sophie, and Niera all looked at him with some expectation, including Bylai and Zestria, who had entered the Immortal Stage.

Davis congratulated Bylai and Zestria for their vast improvement in cultivation, causing them to smile and giggle like little kids. Even though they were Dragon Queens, immortality was also a dream to them as it would take thousands of years for them to achieve this kind of power with their status, that is, if they were allowed to go out and secure resources for themselves.

Now that they had finally achieved it, they felt like they were on cloud nine. Their eyes revealed a passion for Davis, but looking around, they wryly smiled as they noticed that the competition was similarly high.

Esvele also appeared, but she quickly found herself at an awkward location as she didnʼt belong to Davis and quickly approached Shirley as though she didnʼt know anyone else. Freya also followed suit, her young and cheery bearing nowhere to be seen.

The way she walked had also become rather noble as it was ingrained in their soul, and even while harassing Esvele, she did so with elegance, causing everyone to laugh.

Davis couldnʼt help but smile like a fool along with them. Surrounding him were beauties, each of them stunning and veilless in his presence. The garden of flowers around him truly made him feel like an Emperor, but at the same time, his heart ached.

Only Tina, Dalila, Clara, and Tia hadnʼt come yet, causing Davis to feel some worry as they had never exited seclusion. As for Schleya, she also stayed in seclusion, but it seems that she already informed Mingzhi that she wouldnʼt show her face unless needed, so she was planning to call her later.

As for Everlight, she was too controversial to take her outside, so he apologized to her and made her stay in the palace.

Even Saintess Lunaria might appear at his residence if he wasnʼt careful.

But at this moment… his lips curved into a smile.

*Whoosh!~*

”Brother…”

Finally, Clara also appeared. Long blonde hair fell over her shoulder while her cold purple eyes gazed at him.

There was a visible shock in her eyes but also relief in her cold face when she saw Davis having entered the Immortal Stage and possessing an unfathomable aura that shook her to the core.

She couldnʼt see him through one bit or even tell if he was the same brother she knew, but she believed he was still her same old brother. Swiveling her head, she also found Ellia, slightly widening her eyes in response.

”Judging by the way you sit and your expression, you arenʼt Myria, are you?”

Ellia was seated on a sofa, but her posture was not exactly elegant as she brought her knees up to her bosoms and wrapped them around her arms as she kept a visible smile on her face.

”Little Clara, itʼs been a long time. I missed you...”

”I… donʼt like you.”

Clara coldly replied, stunning the others before she added, ”I canʼt keep calm in front of you for some reason.”

Ellia smiled deeply, seemingly not taking offense but even looked satisfied with her response.

”…” However, the others felt a bit awkward for her.

”Clara, you didnʼt know, but Ellia saved us...”

Shirley vouched for Ellia as she explained in an attempt to repair whatever difference they may have had unbeknown to them.

However, only Davis and Ellia didnʼt have their expressions sour. Instead, their hearts were worried for Clara.

Everyone who didnʼt know the true essence of Claraʼs Transcendent Truth Eyes felt that she was not approving of Ellia, but only Davis and Ellia knew what could be up.

ʼIs it because Ellia is a Divergent that Clara innately dislikes her…?ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but frown inwardly.

He remembered Myria and Ellia saying that a Divergent could influence a warrior of the heavens, so as her brother, who was good to her from childhood, he imagined that he had some sway over her, but for strangers or acquaintances, he imagined that she might start feeling some animosity.

Now that Clara had entered the Peak-Level Ninth Stage, he was worried that the heavens would start influencing her. It was almost as though Myriaʼs words were coming true, causing him to feel uncomfortable over this matter.
