Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2466 Option To Retreat?

Davis couldnʼt think of anything that would cause the Starlight Jade Wolf King to be so supportive of him. After all, the other party didnʼt know about Emperor-Tier Everlight. It couldnʼt be that he was after Nadia since he was a light-attributed wolf.

They could never intermix unless one of them got an insane mind to harm themselves.

Still, more than all of the powers present here, it was the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clan that were the most aggressive about him, wanting to harm him.

Why? It was obvious because he had their immortal inheritors.

Perhaps, if he wasnʼt a Divergent, he couldʼve been recruited by them, but since he was indeed known to be a Divergent because of the fact that he could control heavenly lightning and heavenly flames, no power would dare to accept him.

So far, the only powers daring to accept him were the Aurora Cloud Gate and the Ghost Tear Hall, but even in those powers, there were only still a few who dared to accept him. It wasnʼt like every disciple and every elder knew that they had Divergents among them.

Those were just the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs secrets. Otherwise, the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs disciples would also be here, but he couldnʼt see them.

He could see that the Zora Luan was a special case who knew the existence of Divergents in the Aurora Cloud Gate. She even guessed that he was probably Davis at the Proving Grounds but didnʼt bring it up.

Nonetheless, others would only target him for being a Divergent, and kill him before he could grow to a threat, so to see half of the powers stay neutral was already a blessing in disguise.

But still, it wasnʼt enough. Not only were there too many powers willing to kill him in the name of righteousness or hiding their greed for his treasures but there were also the scheming bastards he wanted to take care of, the most prominent being…

”Cyan Soul Rat Clan, I seem to recall that our enmity didnʼt run that deep as I just protected the Magical Beast Sanctuary, but it seems you want to seek death.”

A cyan-robed man froze on the spot as his expression became unsightly.

What the fuck did he do? He kept silent all this while, so how was he found out? Did someone here sell him out to Davis Alstreim?

”Wait… wait…! Your eminence… I… the Cyan Soul Rat Clan doesnʼt-”

”The Cyan Soul Rat Clan is sinister and scheming. They will eat your head and soul if we let you go. Obediently come with us, Davis Alstreim. Otherwise, youʼll have to die by our hands.”

Abruptly, a heavy voice resounded from the skies when suddenly hundreds of people entered the skies of the West Ascendance Monument.

”Vice General!”

The other Fire Phoenix Clan scouts who didnʼt dare to open their mouths screamed in joy as they looked at an entire array of soldiers who appeared in the skies, wearing grand fire phoenix armor and headgear while holding magnificent spears, bows, and swords in their hands.

An entire division consisting of five hundred soldiers had come to their aid!

*Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~* *Whoosh!~*

At the same time, they were all shocked to see another division appear.

Suppressive earthen might explosively grow from them as they encircle the entire region, causing them to feel suffocated.

.

”The… The Earth Dragon Clanʼs Thirtieth Division…”

Two powerful divisions appeared in the West Ascendance Monument as they projected their oppressive undulations at Davis, causing his knees to quiver. The aura of two Immortal Kings surged boundlessly and constricted him, disallowing him to move even a finger.

Davis also saw their positions which very much resembled an Earth Dragon and a Fire Phoenix. In the center of their foreheads was an Immortal King Vice General of each Division. The visual impact of a thousand immortal soldiers in the skies was also a significant threat as they seemed to be capable of sharing their powers and battling with a formation.

There was no way he could beat such foes without using Fallen Heaven, so his only option was to retreat.

However, Davisʼs curved into a smile as he sensed something.

The assassins used this chance to flee while a few bold ones decided to say to seize the opportunity, heading towards him to get the kill!

”Ahahaha!”

The Cyan Soul Rat, who had been just targeted by Davis, cackled with a burst of mocking laughter as he pointed at Davis.

”Look at the trouble you got yourself in! They told you to flee, but you didnʼt! Do you think of yourself as some invulnerable deity!? Even if you grew the wings of a roc, you wouldnʼt be able to escape from the Divisions of the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clan!”

He sneered and turned towards the two Divisions, cupping his hands and bowing his head.

”Vice Generals of the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clan. We, the Cyan Soul Rat Clan, donʼt dare to fight for a meal with your two powers.”

The Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs scout revealed a sleazy smile, which didnʼt amuse the two Vice Generals hovering in the skies. Instead, they narrowed their eyes at the assassins who were nearing Davis through the shadows and the void.

”Insolent! Get out of my si-”

But suddenly, two heads flew into the skies in an arc. It flawlessly flew and transformed into an eerily giant Earth Dragon head and Fire Phoenix head. Upon death, their Immortal King undulations receded as they returned to hundreds of meters long and wide carcasses that plunged towards the ground.

*Boomm!~~~*

Their impacts caused a huge wave of dust to surge and blood to flow right around where Davis stood.

Beside him were also tens of heads belonging to black-robed assassins from the Ghost Tear Hall and other assassination powers. They were all more or less Level Nine Immortals wanting to secure that billion immortal crystals bounty on his head.

However, Davis didnʼt make a single move.

Instead, he looked at three figures that appeared around him as they stayed by his side, forming a protective triangle. Their hems of their black robes fluttering in the wind were a sight to see, while the way they posed like three cats with their curvaceous figures was truly a delicacy for the eyes.

On their fingers was a faint amount of blood radiating Immortal Kingʼs blood aura, but he couldnʼt help but raise his hand and pat one of their heads, feeling her lush, silky purple hair truly soothing to the heart.

”Good girl…”

Looking at Nadia, who was on time, Davis felt a burst of affection for her before dropping his hand and taking two steps forward as his eyes gazed at the hundreds of stunned soldiers in the skies.

”Since they brought two entire divisions instead of a negotiator to capture me, thereʼs no need to stand on ceremony.”

Davisʼs eyes flashed with incomparable anger as he uttered, ”Nadia, kill!”

Nadia said nothing as her purplish-golden eyes became pitch-black, the three of her bodies transforming into dark-winged wolves that disappeared into the deathly void of the night sky, causing countless panicking roars to ring out in fear and desperation!
