Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2478 Neighbors?

Davis, Ellia, Myria, and Zora Luan arrived before a massive floating island. Mountains and rivers were flowing on the floating island as though it was natural, even flowing out of the island as they fell or flew to another island, but how this island seemed to be receiving water was a mystery even though it was at greater heights than the other islands.

The waterways were unknown, perhaps connected through spatial channels or generated through immortal formations fueled with water-attributed immortal crystals.

Still, the land constituted of grasslands, prairies, and every other refreshing and rejuvenating scenery one could possibly imagine in nature. The island also covered an area that may well be equal to the Grand Alstreim City.

But in their gaze were exquisite mansions that spread in a particular area. It could be considered a single residence or an estate in its entirety, and the land it occupied equaled that of a sizeable mortal city.

At a glance, it appeared like a ghost city, but there were numerous workers spread out, taking care of the land with care.

Davis was excited to have this residence to himself and imagined the wonderful life he would have here, making more children with his lovely beauties and extending his legacy. He could even imagine his children playing around here, their voices trickling with innocent laughter.

Finally, they would no longer have to be stuck inside a big palace and could somewhat see the real world as the sect itself spanned tens and thousands of kilometers across. However, he couldnʼt help but turn to look at the other residences on this floating island.

There were eight of them, each representing a particular direction.

His residence was in the east. The placement was not particularly his gripe or interest but to see seven other residences here, he wondered who were the owners of these residences when he suddenly noticed Ellia pouncing on him.

”Yes! My prince, weʼre on the same floating island. Fortunately, Myria is also our neighbor!”

Ellia excitedly jumped as she held Davisʼs arm, stunning Davis before he turned to look at Myria.

Myria seemed indifferent, but she opened her mouth, ”Itʼs in the north.”

”Iʼm in the northeast, right next to you! But Iʼm going to live in yours. My prince doesnʼt mind, right?”

”Of course not.” Davis chuckled at Elliaʼs adorable expression as he pinched her cheek behind her veil, ”However, considering the coincidence, do you think someone arranged this?”

Ellia blinked. If she thought this way, then she agreed that this was suspicious. Was it a move from her master? Did she aid them in being together?

Davis had the same thought.

However, Zora Luan shook her head.

”I donʼt think so. From what I could see, this floating island seemed to be unoccupied as there were fewer workers. Theyʼre only here to make sure that it doesnʼt look degrading and remains presentable for the new true disciples who could be recruited or promoted, so since you three here are the newly recruited true disciples, the normal result would be that you were given these residences in order.”

”Only if it changed would there be suspicion of manipulation.”

”I see. So Myria got the northern residence, and Ellia was assigned the northeastern residence while I got the eastern side. So itʼs a clockwise order, which makes it so that Iʼm the latest addition to the true disciple roster and also to this floating island?”

”Yes! Together, we occupy one-fourth of the island, perhaps almost half as big as the Alstreim Family Territory!”

Davis contemplated while Ellia agreed and compared the land they owned through their status as true disciples. The both of them couldnʼt help but suck in a cold breath once they realized the distance their residences covered.

Moreover, they couldnʼt help but feel that it was truly extravagant of the Aurora Cloud Gate to designate one such island to eight true disciples.

Just how big was the headquarters of the Aurora Cloud Gate?

The floating islands seemed to be unending in his eyes that if it werenʼt for the teleportation formation placed in all eight directions, people would be finding it difficult to travel from one side to another to find a location to leave the headquarters as it would take a few hours even when they were immortals.

”Good for you that this is an unoccupied floating island before you three came here.” Zora Luan lightly laughed, ”If you can convince the other five true disciples who would come here later on to lock the island with an Island Enclosure Formation and additionally buy a supportive formation disc in the treasury that gives people clearance, then only the people whose aura is recognized by that item can enter the island.”

”Sweet!~” Elliaʼs eyes flashed as she turned to look at her love, ”My prince...”

”Ah, Iʼm also thinking the same thing.”

Davis smiled, intending to send his women to become true disciples and grab the other five spots here. He wasnʼt going to limit them either, as becoming disciples here was truly better for them and everyone as they could also earn contribution points and, in the end, pile it up to gain more resources.

”Careful,” However, Zora Luan reminded, ”At that time, the island will become private, and you will have to spend contribution points to attract workers for you if you need help with anything. From that point onwards, it is not the sectʼs business to even spend a minimal effort to look after your island.”

Davis couldnʼt help but smile, ”You know a lot about making a floating island private. Could it be that your Luan Clan also owns the island that we landed on before?”

”Yes.” Zora Luan giggled before she waved her hand, ”Donʼt worry. No one can touch my Luan Clan here. That idiot is merely spouting nonsense.”

”However, he could make it difficult for your people if you step out of the island, right?”

Davis raised his brows, causing Zora Luanʼs disdainful eyes to frown as she became silent for a few seconds before she nodded.

”Yes...”

”Your Blue Luan Family should be quite powerful. What are they afraid of?”

”Well, not exactly, but itʼs a long story.” Zora Luanʼs voice was quite low as she shook her head, ”Weʼll speak of it another day if we have the chance, so go to your new residence and relax first. But before I leave, I want to say donʼt get into trouble before your innocence is proven. If you get into trouble, it would be even more difficult for you to stay.”

”I understand. Also, thank you for your concern, senior sister. Iʼm honored to have been invited as someone as exemplary as you.”

”You praise me too much... but you also were not the man I once imagined you to be. Talking with you like this, I can see that youʼre not a bad person, much less an evil slaughterer, Davis Alstreim. You are not at all influenced by the death energyʼs insanity factor, like how fire increases oneʼs temper and ice makes one colder. No wonder youʼre a Divergent.”

Davis cupped his hands while Zora Luan also gestured the same before she handed him an item.

”If you have trouble with anything, you can contact me with this messaging talisman. As the senior sister who invited you, Iʼll aid you for a month or two, but after that, you will be on your own.”

”Then Iʼll take you up on that offer, senior sister.”

Davis shamelessly chuckled, causing Zora Luan to laugh as her bosoms shook. She cupped her hands once again before turning around and flying into the distance.
