Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2461 Deathseeker

Davis couldnʼt even move a muscle, much less a finger.

He was lifted up before he was brought in front of Deathseeker, absolutely helpless and bare, as though his secrets were being seen through.

However, Davisʼs expression was calm and icy.

”You think you captured me?”

”You think you can escape me- Oh, a soul body? And you already started to dissipate? Careful indeed.”

Deathseekerʼs empty sockets flickered with a dark light as he saw Dead Endʼs soul body starting to dissipate.

It meant that its soul essence was already burned, leaving only the remnant soul force to remain in the form of a soul body.

However, he was impressed with Dead End still being able to remain conscious. This wasnʼt a small feat at all, something that could only be accomplished by those who could withstand burning their soul essence casually, causing his lips to curve in appreciation.

”I like you more and more, but I can still kill you if I want to, as I know a thing or two about karmic techniques. Do you want to try?”

”Hehehe…” Davis still laughed without concern, ”Do you dare to try?”

”I dare not.” Deathseeker suddenly shook and spread his hands, ”How can I lose my disciple over a silly banter? Say, where is your true body now?”

Davisʼs eyes narrowed in response, ”Old fellow. I canʼt trust you easily.”

”First, you go do some errand and submit the mission in my spatial ring. Well, Iʼm probably late in submitting my mission, but due to my circumstances as an Anarchic Divergent, I trust that the Ghost Tear Hall would be able to make a positive decision. More than them, I trust you would be able to do this at the very least to prove your sincerity.”

”Are you… provoking me?” Deathseekerʼs deep voice became frigid.

”Old fellow, if you canʼt even do this, then youʼre insane and delusional to be wanting me as a student. I donʼt care about an old fellow who managed to practice Death Laws, as I have my own path. If you are not to my liking, I can just kill you and take your legacy later. Would you like to make our enmity clear, or do you want to take me in as your student?”

”Itʼs your choice… and also get me a traceless status badge if you agree, or else, Iʼll say goodbye to the Ghost Tear Hall.”

As Davisʼs voice ended, his almost translucent soul body disappeared from Deathseekerʼs hold.

Deathseekerʼs empty eyes appeared thoughtless but dreadful.

In the end, he didnʼt strike to kill, his empty eyes staring at the empty air with some doubt as he blinked.

He reached out his hand and took the spatial ring that seemed to have been unbound.

Inside it was the Zyrus Familyʼs Young Master Klein Zyrusʼs dead body and the status plate of the Ghost Tear Hall belonging to Dead End.

He wanted him, a grand Immortal King assassin, to submit this mission in his stead and change the status plate to being untraceable?

”Little brat, good…! You are as arrogant as the rumors say… ahahahaha!”

A grayish-black aura surged along with an illumination of darkness. Death and darkness energy swirled around him before he disappeared from the location, not even leaving a trace.

Inside a palace hall, many people gathered around a round table.

However, two characters who sat opposite each other stared and said nothing for a long time. One of them was clothed in golden and the other in crimson. Their auras were heavy and caused the heaven and earth energy to behave in their presence as the noble auras of dragon and phoenix clashed. Their bearing demanded both respect and fear from other people.

The discussion was happening between the others, but at this moment, an armored man ran inside and knelt.

”Reporting to the Earth Dragon Patriarch.”

”The recent ascenders from the Grand Beginnings Continent say that the Alstreim Family is flourishing and are constantly reaching out to other powers as they extend their influence and support while enriching their own. It seems they are also supported by the righteous sects and feys, almost everyone who has invested in the ideal peaceful world they are going on about, trying to recreate a legend of our First Haven World.”

”Then?” A golden-robed man with a toned and muscular build turned to look at the relayer.

”Ah, my apologies, Earth Dragon Patriarch. I meant to inform you that the recent ascenders attested to the information that Davis Alstreim and his women were nowhere to be seen in the Alstreim Family or anywhere else for the past month. It is like they disappeared out of thin air, which makes me believe that there is a chance that Davis Alstreim already ascended.”

”What about the two of them?”

”Itʼs possible that two of them are also with him.”

The armored man with the aura of the Earth Dragon replied, but then an enraged voice echoed.

”Bastard… isnʼt there a rumor saying that he has them as his women? They must have been forced!”

”Fire Phoenix Patriarch, please be calm. The previous information already stated that they have gone through tumultuous struggles to give their hands to one another.” A figure by the Fire Phoenix Patriarchʼs side gave a reminder.

However, the Fire Phoenix Patriarchʼs crimson eyes still held a bevy of anger.

”That could also be a rumor to act justified. But regardless, the immortal inheritances possess an array of valuable treasures that should be used by us, by the clan. No one can take it from us or deny our right to it just because the inheritors strayed.”

He then turned to stare straight as his eyes narrowed, ”Earth Dragon Patriarch. Are you finally up for using it?”

”Sigh…” The Earth Dragon Patriarch relaxed in his armchair, ”if we use it, then the time taken to use it again will be a hundred years. By that time, it will be too late. What does Fire Phoenix Patriarch have to convince us to use it first?”

”Two Mid Immortal Crystal Mines as a token of trust and a Blood Soul Contract that will have us use our formation on your command. This matter is of the utmost importance, so you wonʼt mind this quick resolution, right?”

The Earth Dragon Patriarch frowned upon hearing the Fire Phoenix Patriarchʼs words. However, he heaved a breath and nodded his head.

”Alright. Weʼll do it your way.”

”Good! Itʼs for the betterment of our respective clans.” The Fire Phoenix Patriarch smirked and waved his hand.

A group of people brought in a Blood Soul Contract at the Peak Immortal King Grade. They wrote the contract based on the talks and framed it before presenting it to the Fire Phoenix Patriarch, who read the terms and signed it.

After that, the Earth Dragon Patriarch read the terms and found nothing to be suspicious about. His hands reached out as his beast soul energy surged out.

But at this moment, another armored man with an earthen draconic aura hurriedly ran into the room and knelt.

”Patriarch, our scouts have sighted that Davis Alstreim has finally appeared in the West Ascendance Monument!”

”What!?”

The Earth Dragon Patriarch and Fire Phoenix Patriarch yelled at the same time, their expressions becoming dumbfounded as they realized that he had finally ascended before one of them quickly yelled.

”Idiots, what are you waiting for? Send a division to capture that brat!” The Fire Phoenix Patriarch waved his sleeves, ”Also, donʼt harm a single hair on Shirley, our fourth and last Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Inheritor.”

”Donʼt harm our last inheritor Isabella as well.”

The Earth Dragon Patriarchʼs tone also became grave as he instructed his people.

”Yes!~”

A resounding agreement came from the armored group of warriors standing outside before they flew towards the West Ascendance Monument.
