Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2471 Forcing In?

Patriarch Killian Zenflameʼs expression was full of fury over Davisʼs unruly gesture, but then suddenly, his elders stopped him from being impulsive, causing him to imagine if the Aurora Cloud Gate was a sleeping dragon as the rumors spoke of it to be.

”Patriarch Killian, itʼs only been a few thousand years since you became the Patriarch after returning from the Northern Divide. I know youʼre trying to make your father proud as you try to fulfill the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs dreams, but this isnʼt the way to go. We donʼt have to necessarily offend the Aurora Cloud Gate.”

One of the elders cupped hands and advised, causing Patriarch Killianʼs expression to turn solemn.

”You mean…”

”The fact that heʼs here means someone from the Aurora Cloud Gate invited him. Perhaps, they had helped him secretly. Iʼm afraid that Davis Alstreim could already be considered a half-disciple.”

”Ridiculous. It hasnʼt been that long since he appeared, so how could they have helped him without anyone knowing or even have taken him as a half-disciple? Even if he has become one, I doubt the Aurora Cloud Gate would go to such lengths for him. Hmph! Donʼt stop me, elders. Today, even if the Aurora Cloud Gate is willing to protect him, I must see if theyʼre capable of protecting a Divergent by going against the order and the peace of the world.”

”Patriarch…!”

The elders yelled, but it was of no use as Patriarch Killian Zenflame turned around and shot towards the easternmost branch of the Aurora Cloud Gate.

”Patriarch Klavius, no matter what, donʼt provoke the Aurora Cloud Gate without a good reason. They are reasonable people who will execute their own disciples if they have done something wrong.”

”Mhm, Iʼve heard about them, elders.”

The Earth Dragon Patriarchʼs gaze was also solemn as his elders advised him, but unlike the Fire Phoenix Patriarch, he knew more… that the Aurora Cloud Gate couldnʼt be taken lightly as they were hidden deep.

Besides, there was also that rumor in the past that had something to do with their superior clan. Even the elders had no idea as this was something that only he had access to as the Patriarch of the Earth Dragon Clan. However, there was no way one could verify it in this day and age, making him also want to see the might of the Aurora Cloud Gate.

He also followed Patriarch Killian and arrived before the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs eastern fringe branch.

”Davis Alstreim, you cowardly Divergent! Come out and face your death!”

At that moment, Patriarch Killian released a furious cry that swept through the sect.

”…!”

The lively disciples of the Aurora Cloud Gate abruptly became silent at the furious roar, but their expressions were full of amazement and stupefaction.

Someone had stormed into their territory? Didnʼt they know what courting death is?

”Wait… Davis Alstreim… where have I heard this name before…?”

Only after laughing at the intruder did they even bother to wonder who that character was in question before shock overwhelmed their faces.

”It… it canʼt be him...”

Everyone thought of the rumors about a young individual who could use heavenly flames and heavenly lightning, but if that wasnʼt enough, he could even use death energy. Everything he possessed was something that would bring him to ruin, but he had done just the opposite, managing to save a lower plane from the Vacuous Beasts.

That grand character was popular for a while in their Aurora Cloud Gate. However, hearsay was just basically rumors. After some time, they forgot about him and went on with their lives, but now, he was actually here in their Aurora Cloud Gate?

What was going on?

For a moment, everyoneʼs response to the intruder that was hostile became curious instead.

.

Was the Emperor of Death truly here? They also became intrigued.

Davisʼs expression at this moment was one of annoyance.

ʼThose tenacious bastards never give up, do they…?ʼ

He was hoping that they would stop pursuing him, give up and leave, but of course, that was not going to happen. His thinking was too wishful.

However, he didnʼt instantly leave upon being called out.

”My prince, letʼs take the teleportation formation and head to the headquarters. There, no one will be able to touch us.”

Ellia suggested from the side, her words presenting the opportunity to retreat to them. But Davis shook his head, smiling lightly.

”It isnʼt good to leave like this without any explanation whatsoever, but itʼs not like we should instantly respond either. Just let those bastards make a fuss and offend the Aurora Cloud Gate more. Someone from the Aurora Cloud Gate will eventually call us out.”

”They seem truly powerful… Will they be able to get in?” Mingzhi raised her brows, causing Davis to shrug.

”I donʼt think so. But judging by their auras, I would say that theyʼre Late Immortal King Stage existences, so that would make them the higher-ups of their clan. Thereʼs also a high possibility that they tracked your group by tracing Isabella or Shirley instead of me. Who knows, perhaps their patriarchs came to personally chase me to death and take them away from me?”

”…!”

Davisʼs words left Evelynn and the others stunned. It shouldnʼt be the case, no?

After all, if people came to know that a Patriarch of a major power went hunting a junior, even if that junior was a Divergent, wouldnʼt he be laughed at for the entirety of his life?

However, they couldnʼt help but be angered.

Was that truly the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clanʼs stance? Their eyes flashed with killing intent.

How could they dare target their beloved sisters? Wasnʼt this a repeat of the happenings in the lower plane they lived in? Will they not be satisfied until they no longer have their lives in their hands?

”When will these people ever learn to keep their hands to themselves…?” Evelynn clenched her teeth as her purple eyes revealed a venomous glint.

The insidious nature of her blood she generally suppressed also sought to destroy them.

”I tried talking reason to their scouts, but it didnʼt work.” Davis sighed, ”Letʼs see if these old fools who followed us to this place have anything good to say to us.”

He patted Evelynnʼs shoulder, indicating for her to relax. By this time, a few people had surrounded them, curiously looking at them and whispering.

Of course, he got caught by the disciples. This hall led to numerous teleportation formations where disciples were moving about to and fro, so why wouldnʼt they be caught?

”Vile human, youʼre still not coming out!?”

The furious voice resounded across the branch again, causing countless disciples to turn their heads in the direction of the voice in hostility. For outsiders to raise their voices inside their territory twice, they were courting death no matter the reason.

”Perhaps not.”

Ellia shook her head, her meaning being that they wouldnʼt be saying anything of good nature to them.

”Whoʼs making willful and childish noises here? Do they want to get their asses kicked?”

Suddenly, a tired voice of an old man resounded from the branch to the outside.

Davis and Ellia couldnʼt help but look at each other at the same time as their eyes lit up. They recognized this voice. It was none other than Aradiel Furiose, the Law Enforcement Elder who had found their identities when they came here last time!
