Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2475 Interference In The Sect

Isabella stared into the distance with a complicated gaze in her eyes.

She didnʼt want to offend the Earth Dragon Clan, and neither did Shirley want to offend the Fire Phoenix Clan. But if the other party was so vehement in wanting them, even trying to separate from their husband and kill him, then it goes without saying that they would do anything in their power to destroy them.

It was just she really didnʼt wish for the outcome to turn out this way, as that would mean killing her benefactorʼs descendants. Even if she had her reasons, it goes without saying that it would be ungrateful of her, but more than anything, it would mean that she went back on her words which would affect her heart and determination that shapes her Will.

To Isabella, who was prideful and principled, she didnʼt wish to be dishonorable.

Her complicated gaze was caught by Davis as he asked her a question, causing her to come out of her reverie before she grabbed his hands. Feeling comfortable as affection swelled in her heart, she lightly smiled and shook her head as she sent him a soul transmission through physical touch.

”I wanted the Earth Dragon Patriarch to apologize with sincerity so that I could at least give consideration to the negotiation you brought up.”

”Ah, I see.” Davisʼs lips curved into a wry smile, ”But even if your words fell on his ears, I doubt such a thing would happen. Instead, the most likely result would be that you would anger him.”

”Mhm~” Isabella nodded, ”However, I figured that we have that kind of value in ourselves to be this arrogant, especially when estimating our future.”

”Oh? Arenʼt you oozing with confidence?”

”Forget about me. If they knew Miraʼs existence, theyʼd probably go crazy enough to attack you with an Immortal Emperor. .”

Isabella giggled with a sly smile, causing Davis to smirk.

”Yeah, nurturing Mira means that theyʼll have an Empress in their ranks, and to a major power like the Earth Dragon Clan, thatʼs more important than receiving the immortal inheritance treasures. Although Mira wouldnʼt be an Empress when she becomes an Immortal Emperor Beast without our help, I imagine that they would probably do anything for her to retain her bloodline tier from dropping to normality, at the very least. At that time, who exactly would be the Earth Dragon Clanʼs match?”

”True. Mira could be a King-Tier Beast at Immortal Emperor Stage if they give their all to support her. I guess crossing three or four levels in the Immortal Emperor Stage is almost comparable to your existence as a whole at the moment. Unfortunately enough for them, they just lost their chance as we made it to a safe place.”

Davis couldnʼt help but chuckle at Isabellaʼs guesses. He should say that she was wrong in both assumptions, but he left the first one to her imagination and opened his mouth for the second.

”Itʼs not like that.”

”What do you mean?”

”Youʼll know soon enough. Now get inside. Weʼll discuss every matter in our new residence. Or else we might get assassinated without even knowing how we died.”

Isabella made a shocked expression on her face. However, she didnʼt ask him any more questions as she realized the situation could still be dire. Her resistance was null, and her figure disappeared into thin air as she returned to the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.

Meanwhile, Davis turned around and quickly headed back to the sect as he was still hovering outside, although he was still inside the powerful sect barrier.

He didnʼt lie to Isabella.

After all, if he could enter the Aurora Cloud Gate and still have his identity as an assassin, then others could do it as well. If there was an Immortal King disciple who was actually an assassin and chose to kill him in one move over his single death because he possibly couldnʼt escape from the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs hands, then Davis could only cry in the afterlife for lowering his guard.

However, that wasnʼt his only concern.

With the disappearance of Elder Aradiel Furiose, he reentered the sect and cautiously looked around as he panned his gaze.

Ellia appeared before him as she skipped to his location like a fairy treading upon a river, each step she took creating a harmless ripple in space to emerge. Myria also hovered behind her.

They didnʼt say anything but followed him until they returned to the teleportation hall.

However, they all came to a stop as a group of disciples blocked them.

”You… are you really Davis Alstreim?”

One of them couldnʼt help but curiously ask. It was a white-robed woman. Her looks were quite good as her eyes shone with a charming luster while a veil obscured her face, making it difficult to see her beauty, but her cultivation was at Level Nine Immortal Stage, causing Davis to sigh inwardly.

He didnʼt have time for this as he didnʼt feel unassailable in the fringe branch at the moment.

”Move, or donʼt blame me for being ruthless.”

He directly threatened her and everyone else in that group, causing her eyes to flicker.

”How rude. You are indeed as the rumors described you to be. Self-serving and arrogant. It wouldnʼt be strange if you were evil as well. Hmph!”

The white-robed woman harrumphed and walked away, causing Davis to be momentarily taken aback. The other party wasnʼt intentionally making trouble for him?

He saw the others behind her glare at him with cold eyes before they were like ducklings following the mother duck, moving behind her.

Seeing this scene, he didnʼt know who she was but could see that she was a woman of influence at the very least, but he didnʼt have the leisure to care about this matter and quickly rushed past her, heading to the teleportation formation leading to the headquarters.

Like the white-robed woman, many were watching his actions before he finally reached his destination.

He stepped into the teleportation circle and arrived at the headquarters along with Ellia and Myria after a bright light enveloped them.

Only then did Ellia heave a sigh of relief. There were too many gazes with different emotions filled within them, so that place was too treacherous to be in. Fortunately, none showed a trace of following them, so they could put the previous matter to rest somewhat.

Just as they exited the teleportation formation and arrived outside, their expressions fell. Their eyes flickered with caution as they saw a crimson-robed man. He was familiar to them as they had met before, even spoken to.

”Itʼs you… Feng Chu…”

”Tegon Zenflame…”

Davisʼs expression became cold.

Although it was his plan to be known as Feng Chu here, he didnʼt expect to be recognized this soon.

After all, people would naturally guess that he was Feng Chu after seeing the rankings and the timing of his appearance. They werenʼt that foolish. However, he didnʼt wish to be recognized before at least having a safe space to himself, that was having a residence where no one could enter unless they had his permission.

He knew the rules allowed such behavior.

As for this Tegon Zenflame, he appeared before him and recognized him as Davis Alstreim with his features. However, with Ellia and Myria accompanying him like the last time, he also managed to recognize him as Feng Chu.

Now that the cat was out of the bag, Davis merely smiled.

”Move out of my way, Tegon. I still have things to do.”

Tegon Zenflameʼs expression was cold, but a wicked smile still emerged on his face as he opened his mouth.

”How careless of me not to recognize you at first glance, Feng Chu- ah, no, Davis Alstreim. Did you think you could really escape from the Fire Phoenix Clan just because you entered the Aurora Cloud Gate? Do you take us all as thin air?”

His expression became increasingly predatory, his gaze occasionally landing on Ellia and Myria as he threatened Davis, taking out something from his spatial ring.

Davis and the others instantly became cautious. However, Tegon Zenflame merely laughed in response.

”Ahaha!~ Scaredy cats. Do you think Iʼm foolish enough to truly attack you in the sect?”

As Tegon Zenflame mocked, Davis saw that he held an Imagery Stone in his hand. Tegon Zenflame activated it and spoke with derision.

”Get down on your knees and apologize to the Fire Phoenix Patriarch. As a fellow sect disciple, Iʼll help you smoothen things over with them.”

Davisʼs expression was cold, but it became one of indifference at the moment. He took a step forward, causing Tegon Zenflameʼs expression to churn with delight. However, his expression of delight froze as he witnessed Davis walking past him.

Ellia and Myria also hovered past him, finally causing him to jolt out of his reverie.

”Insolent! I told you to kneel!”

”You just said that you wonʼt attack, bitch. So see you later.”

Davis merely raised a hand and waved. He didnʼt even turn back to see his opponent, causing unbearable humiliation to strike Tegon Zenflame, causing his expression to churn with uncontrollable rage.

*Bzzzz!~*

”Fool! I canʼt attack, but I can discipline you with suppression!”

Level Nine Immortal undulations spread like wildfire in the pathway, causing Davis, Ellia, and Myria to freeze from the overwhelming aura. They quickly understood that he was making it difficult for them to leave as they would be stuck here until they apologized.

It was just how the Aurora Cloud Gate worked. If a senior was disciplining a junior without harming them, the junior naturally has to bow his head. There was no way around this rule unless the junior intentionally injured themselves and complained to the Law Enforcement Department, whereupon a trial would be conducted before light punishment would be given to both parties.

So unless needed, neither the senior nor the junior would indulge in this behavior, but this Tegon Zenflame…

Davisʼs eyes churned with killing intent, ʼDoes this retard not know that I have Nadia with me?ʼ

Nadia was just a word away from teaching this idiot a lesson, as they couldnʼt kill him.

However, Davis still retained a trace of intelligence within his murderous thoughts.

Something told him that Tegon Zenflameʼs Fire Phoenix Clan didnʼt inform him about Nadia. Was this intentional? Why?

ʼTo reveal my trump cards?ʼ

Davisʼs eyes flashed with understanding. They were already sacrificing a pawn in order to see his limits and, perhaps, also get him into trouble with the intent of getting him expelled so that they could deal with him outside.

ʼHow cunning…ʼ It made him wonder whose plan this was.

The Fire Phoenix Patriarchʼs or one of those elders behind him?

But at this moment, the pressure cast upon him suddenly went away like a breeze.

Davis blinked before he turned his body around, only to see the back of a blue-robed woman. Her blue hair was tied up in a bun, and her fair jade white neck was unfamiliar, but her aura was quite familiar to him.

Right now, it was protecting them from being suppressed, causing Davisʼs expression to become complicated.

But before he could say anything, Tegon Zenflame raised his hand and pointed at the blue-robed woman.

”Zora Luan. I really didnʼt expect you to collude with Davis Alstreim, a Divergent. It seems like you truly want to die, even dragging your receding power along with you and harming the Aurora Cloud Gate.”

”…”

Zora Luanʼs brows frowned in response.
