Naruto: Orochimaru's Disciple

Chapter 417: Chapter 417: What? I Changed Classes into a Necromancer?

Chapter 417: What? I Changed Classes into a Necromancer?

The clouds of war pressed down upon the Ninja World once again.

”This damned bastard!”

Tsunade glared furiously at her teacher.

Hiruzen was already dead, yet his body was still struggling, still trying to resist, still attempting to cast ninjutsu and attack her even after being subdued.

At that moment, Tsunade wished she could slap Kenichi to death with her own hands.

Although the Heavenly Demon had never publicly revealed his true identity, Tsunade was now almost certain that he was Amamiya Kenichi.

All the clues pointed to him.

If it was not him, then Tsunade truly could not imagine what else was going on.

Even before this, Tsunade had not been pleased with Kenichi. Back when he was still by Orochimaru’s side, he had helped cure her hemophobia, and that was indeed a good thing. But that one favor could not make up for the increasingly outrageous things he had done recently.

He had attacked Konoha before.

Now he had attacked the Four Village Allied Forces, killing a large number of ninja.

What was even more unforgivable was that her teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi, had also fallen in this battle. For Konoha, this was an enormous loss.

Moreover, Hiruzen had been the head of the Sarutobi clan and the current leader of Root. With him dead, Asuma would definitely not let this matter go once he found out.

And with Root’s leader position vacant, certain people in Konoha would inevitably begin fighting over power again.

Unless she abolished Root entirely.

”Sensei is dead. How do you plan to deal with Amamiya Kenichi?” Jiraiya asked Tsunade, his expression difficult to describe.

He had survived the nuclear explosion and personally carried his teacher out of that hell.

The consequence was that even now, he could still feel the sensation of his hand pressing into Hiruzen’s back.

”Kill him, if there’s an opportunity.”

Tsunade took a deep breath.

She looked at her old friend and understood what he meant.

Jiraiya nodded.

If he had previously hesitated because of some lingering old connection when facing Kenichi, then now, only hatred remained in his heart.

The other party had become someone he could no longer forgive.

”If Orochimaru knew about this...” Jiraiya said hesitantly.

After all, Hiruzen had been their teacher. If Orochimaru learned about his death, would it bring some trouble to Kenichi?

”...I understand.”

Tsunade froze for a moment, then nodded.

She understood what Jiraiya meant.

They only needed to say that Hiruzen had died at the hands of the Heavenly Demon. That would be enough.

There was no need to say that the Heavenly Demon was Amamiya Kenichi.

Konoha intended to keep the possibility that Kenichi was the Heavenly Demon a secret, because Konoha’s current situation was already very bad.

The Four Village Allied Forces had been attacked inside the Land of Fire, and every village had suffered heavy casualties. Chiyo of Sunagakure had also died there. Reportedly, when she died, her hand had still been stretched forward as if she were manipulating puppets.

Kumogakure and Iwagakure had also suffered heavy losses.

It was suffocating.

At the time, they had even planned to come and demand an explanation. If they had not seen Hiruzen die there as well, Tsunade felt that the four major villages might have started fighting among themselves before they even reached the former Hidden Mist Village.

If it was revealed now that Kenichi was the Heavenly Demon, then without question, Konoha would become the target of hatred from the other three Ninja Villages. Even Mei Terumī would probably leave Konoha and join another village.

Although Kenichi had long since been listed as a Konoha rogue ninja, that would not matter under the current circumstances.

The major Ninja Villages would not care whether Kenichi was a rogue ninja or not. Even if he was, they still needed somewhere to vent their anger.

And was there any target more suitable than Konoha?

In the end, everything in this world came down to self-interest.

Looking at her teacher, who was still struggling and trying to attack her, Tsunade sighed.

There was nothing she could do now except forcibly let her teacher rest in peace.

It was a difficult process.

Kenichi’s ninjutsu, Slaying The King of Death, was clearly a self-created technique. Its effect seemed to be forcing the deceased within a certain range to fight for him, and it also appeared to preserve some of their original strength.

Although the dead could not return to their peak, it was still extremely troublesome.

Hiruzen had displayed the strength of a special jonin. If not for the severe damage to his body, subduing him would probably have taken even more effort.

Fortunately, that problem had now been resolved.

Just as Tsunade was about to say something, an Anbu rushed in and handed over a piece of intelligence.

Tsunade glanced at it, then angrily crumpled the paper in her hand. The intelligence report was crushed into shredded fragments, impossible to piece back together.

”What happened?” Jiraiya asked, a bad feeling rising in his chest.

”The Tsuchikage sent ninja to ask whether Konoha intends to provoke the Fourth Great Ninja War!”

Tsunade was furious.

What did Iwagakure being attacked have to do with Konoha?

Even if the attacker had a Sharingan, it could have been done by those rogue Uchiha.

But there was no helping it.

Ōnoki needed an explanation.

It was not just one Iwagakure ninja who had seen the tomoe in the enemy’s eyes. With the later eyewitness accounts added in, it could be said that in the eyes of Iwagakure’s ninja, Konoha was the culprit.

Unless Konoha could produce irrefutable evidence.

And the most outrageous part was that the attacker had used a Kumogakure forehead protector, clearly intending to sow discord.

The entire Ninja World knew that the Uchiha clan originated from Konoha. Although it was also known that some Uchiha had defected, in the minds of many people, Konoha still stood behind the Uchiha.

”I remember those rogue Uchiha seem to be connected to the Heavenly Demon,” Jiraiya said, thinking of intelligence he had read before.

When the Uchiha clan defected, an airship had been seen. From that moment onward, Konoha had begun developing airships.

And airships were invented by the Heavenly Demon. Everyone knew that.

Later, the Heavenly Demon had even sold airship technology to other Ninja Villages, causing Konoha’s hope of recovering its investment to collapse completely.

”Do you think there’s a possibility that the one who attacked the Hidden Mist Village and occupied the Land of Water was the Heavenly Demon?” Tsunade asked Jiraiya.

Although she phrased it as a question, her tone sounded more like a statement.

Tsunade was very smart.

From Jiraiya’s description, she knew that Kenichi’s attacks could explode instantly with terrifying power, which matched the mysterious destruction of Hidden Mist Village.

Moreover, this incident involved a mission jointly issued by the Four Great Ninja Villages. If it had not been done by the Heavenly Demon, then there was no reason for the other party to attack the Four Village Allied Forces, unless one village had secretly contacted the Akatsuki and tried to create an advantage for itself.

But all four Ninja Villages had suffered heavy losses this time.

Unless the mastermind was extremely ruthless and willing to sacrifice the ninja of their own village to create an opening, Tsunade still felt it was far more likely that Kenichi had done it himself.

After all, Konoha had been smeared with such a massive bucket of filth, and the attacker just happened to be an Uchiha.

Although Konoha still had some Sharingan ninja, they were secretly confined in prison as breeding stock and could not possibly go out.

However, this time, the Heavenly Demon had truly incurred public wrath.

Even...

Tsunade glanced toward the other end of the forest.

A man with a mouth full of rap was fiercely rapping there.

Killer Bee had also come to Konoha, and that was the reason Tsunade had rushed over in the first place. The Eight-Tails Jinchuriki entering the Land of Fire was no small matter.

But after arriving, Tsunade understood why Killer Bee had come.

Now that things had developed to this point, no one knew what the Ninja World would become next.

The world would not stop moving because of the death of a great figure like Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Kenichi had already left that forest filled with death.

He had also released Edo Tensei, allowing Minato and Danzo to return to the Pure Land.

He himself did not immediately return to the Land of Water. He still needed to continue gathering intelligence here and observe whether the backup plan he had arranged had taken effect.

If it had, that would be good.

If not, he would have to reconsider how to deal with the current problem.

”The explosion of nuclear weapons must have alarmed these people. Although the current power of these things can basically leave them without any ability to resist, having only one method of deterrence is still a little lacking.”

Kenichi sat inside an airship.

He had already switched to a new airship.

There was no helping it.

He did not know whether that bastard Black Zetsu was hiding nearby. For his own safety, he had blown up his previous airship and changed to another one.

Atomic bombs were powerful. That was good.

But they were also difficult to make.

For some reason, there was not much uranium in the Ninja World. Of course, it might also be because the Land of Water had a small land area and was made up of many islands.

After occupying the Land of Water, the enriched uranium refined there was only enough to produce one and a half atomic bombs.

When combined with the enriched uranium previously found in the Land of Snow, a total of two could be made.

One of them had already been used against the Four Village Allied Forces.

And it seemed to have killed a major figure.

Judging from Uncle Jiraiya’s grief-stricken appearance, the one who died was probably the Third Hokage.

That was a huge mess.

Kenichi wondered what his teacher would think.

One atomic bomb was too few.

It could be used as deterrence, but relying on just one atomic bomb to subdue the Ninja World was impossible.

Who knew whether some ancient relic might pop out from some forgotten corner of the Ninja World?

Or perhaps some unwilling Uchiha remnant would try to kill him?

So Kenichi needed to develop new weapons to deal with the increasingly dangerous situation in the Ninja World.

[Perhaps the development of new weapons can proceed toward hydrogen bombs?]

Kenichi casually wrote down his thought on paper, then stroked his chin.

Was the power of a hydrogen bomb great?

Very great.

Compared to an atomic bomb, it represented another leap in scale.

If an atomic bomb could wipe out a village, then a hydrogen bomb might be able to sink the islands of the Land of Water.

If a hydrogen bomb had exploded among the Four Village Allied Forces this time, very few of the ninja present would probably have survived.

It could be said that hydrogen bombs were extremely powerful and carried enough deterrence. They were not without a chance even against Uchiha Madara.

But the difficulty lay in production.

For the Ninja World, and for the current Kenichi, the technical difficulty of a hydrogen bomb was extremely high.

However, with atomic bombs already available, very few weapons could surpass their deterrent effect.

Among conventional weapons, he still had thermobaric bombs.

If he wanted to continue developing his arsenal, he either had to accumulate quantity or pursue a qualitative change.

As he thought about this, Kenichi saw the grassland below.

The airship’s altitude was not particularly high, but even so, the lawn below looked vast.

This instantly made Kenichi think of something interesting.

Once, at a United Nations meeting, a certain Mr. World Lighthouse, who wished not to be named, took out a small tube of white laundry detergent to justify cruel atrocities, claiming it as the reason for their violence.

Of course, that matter later became widely known.

After that unfortunate country was destroyed, nothing of the sort was ever found.

So that certain Mr. World Lighthouse, who wished not to be named, completely exposed his brutal side.

Of course, because the other party was powerful enough and shameless enough, they completely ignored all criticism.

When many people discussed how shameless that certain Mr. was, they rarely cared about what he had actually taken out back then, or why that thing could provide enough excuse for violence.

That thing was anthrax.

”Viruses, bacteria...”

Kenichi swallowed.

Was the power of such things great?

Very great.

Just like the anthrax he remembered, it had strong vitality and was generally difficult to eliminate. Once the right opportunity appeared, it could multiply wildly and then destroy the host. The illness caused by inhalation was especially deadly.

But this kind of thing was too cruel and filled with unknown risks.

Who knew whether a pathogen might mutate into a super pathogen that even the one who released it could not defend against?

Although bacteria were relatively stable, what if something unexpected happened?

Who would dare to gamble on that?

As for whether such a thing would be effective, Kenichi was not too worried.

The ninja of the Ninja World possessed powerful physiques and were exceptionally strong, but were ninja truly invincible?

How could that be possible?

If they were truly that powerful, then what meaning would Konoha Hospital have?

What meaning would medical ninja have?

And one had to remember that quite a few ninja in the world of Naruto had died from incurable diseases.

The most famous example was Uchiha Itachi, who suffered from an incurable illness and did not have long to live.

If ninja truly never became sick, how would Itachi have died?

So ninja were not truly immune to illness.

They could still get sick.

Their tolerance for disease was simply higher than ordinary people’s. However, some diseases could still destroy them.

Kenichi only needed to find that sort of pathogen, whether virus, bacterium, or something else, and then...

”Hiss...”

Kenichi scratched his head.

When a plague broke out, if he then used Slaying The King of Death, would he directly change classes into a necromancer in the Ninja World?

Thinking about it, it did not seem impossible.

Compared with nuclear weapons, this method of attack was more covert and less easily detected.
