Chapter 413: Chapter 413: Nuclear Explosion

Chapter 413: Nuclear Explosion

Minato Namikaze was known as the fastest man in the Ninja World.

With his peerless mastery of the Flying Thunder God Technique and the Rasengan in his hand, he had earned the terrifying name of the Yellow Flash. However, that did not mean Minato was equally fast in every situation. His speed depended on the existence of a Flying Thunder God mark.

Just now, when Minato saw the attack, he immediately rushed down, hoping to capture the troublemaker. But while he was moving, he unexpectedly sensed a familiar mark.

A Flying Thunder God mark.

”Is this my Flying Thunder God mark?” Minato was somewhat surprised, but his speed increased instead of slowing down.

He knew what that mark might mean.

After all, the last time he had used the Flying Thunder God Technique, he had left a mark on that attacker.

Could this attacker be the same person who had once attacked Konoha?

Minato had used the Flying Thunder God Technique many times, but very few people who had been marked by him had survived. The one who had left the deepest impression on him was naturally the mysterious masked man who had attacked Konoha.

Thinking of this, Minato’s pace became even faster.

Soon, Minato arrived in the forest and saw a black-robed figure preparing to leave. The person wore a mask, revealing only one eye.

The instant he saw him, Minato was certain.

This was the same person who had attacked Konoha.

Minato directly threw two kunai, which embedded themselves in front of the masked man. In the next instant, Minato teleported to the kunai’s position and pressed the Rasengan in his hand straight toward the mask of the man before him.

Minato had no intention of greeting him.

This person was the culprit who had caused his and Kushina’s deaths. If there was anything to say, it could wait until they reached the Pure Land.

”It’s you!” Obito sensed that something was wrong the moment he saw the familiar kunai, but when he actually saw Minato appear, he was still stunned for a second.

He truly had not expected to see his former teacher here.

Despite his surprise, Obito activated his ability in the face of the close-range attack. Although his body seemed to be standing there, Minato passed straight through him.

The Rasengan blasted a massive crater into the ground.

”You were the one who attacked Konoha last time. What are you doing here this time?!” Minato looked sternly at Obito behind him.

He still was not certain of this person’s identity, but he knew that this man was troublesome. His strange ability had caused Minato quite a bit of trouble before.

However, that had been the previous encounter.

With that experience behind him, Minato now understood this person’s ability much better.

Obito silently looked at Minato.

This was his teacher.

The person who had once been one of the most important people in his life.

But his teacher had not recognized him.

Nor had he saved Rin.

The fastest man in the Ninja World?

Heh.

”Edo Tensei? I didn’t expect the esteemed Fourth Hokage to have a day when he would be brought back by Edo Tensei.” Obito saw Minato’s strange state and sneered.

At the same time, a new plan formed in his mind.

Obito had no intention of continuing to argue with Minato.

His recent attack had clearly drawn the attention of the Allied Shinobi Forces, and Amamiya Kenichi might arrive from behind at any moment. Obito needed to leave quickly.

But before Obito could do anything, Minato rushed forward again. The Rasengan in his hand lit up the surrounding vegetation and reflected in Obito’s eye.

”See you next time.” Obito glanced at Minato, then turned and left without hesitation.

Minato was slightly confused, but in the next instant, he felt something grab his feet.

His body suddenly seemed to lose the ability to move. He could only watch as Obito disappeared into the dark forest.

Minato’s body soon returned to normal, and he fell to the ground.

He threw the Rasengan in his hand toward the direction Obito had left, but it hit nothing. Minato could sense that the Flying Thunder God mark he had left had disappeared.

”Why do I feel such a strange sense of familiarity?” Minato lowered his head.

There was nothing on the ground.

What had that pulling sensation been?

He was a ninja. It could not have been a tree root or something similar catching him by accident. Besides, that pulling sensation had been extremely strong. He could not have misjudged it.

Minato was somewhat puzzled, but when he looked toward the distant firelight, he still left the area.

If he stayed any longer, he would be discovered by the ninja squads. If he appeared before any ninja now, it would be troublesome.

Fortunately, the other party had not discovered the Flying Thunder God mark he had left on him.

The next time they met, Minato would definitely give him a surprise.

”I think we need to relocate immediately. This place has already been exposed.” Kitsuchi frowned, his expression grim.

Since the previous attack, the entire Allied Shinobi Forces’ base had been awakened. After searching the surrounding area, they had found no especially useful clues, but unexpectedly, another attack had occurred.

”Hiruzen, old man, you should be able to tell this isn’t an attack. It’s more like a warning,” Chiyo said, looking at the ninja present.

The people here were all important figures who could determine the direction of the Allied Shinobi Forces. Of course, they could only make decisions for their own villages.

They could not restrain the ninja of the other villages.

They were an allied force in name, but the four great villages had not appointed a single universally recognized commander.

Hiruzen nodded.

He also felt that this was not an attack. The attacker had not continued using ninjutsu, and the attack had been launched from a location very far away from the base. That was not logical.

Clearly, this was not a real assault.

If it were, then the attacker’s skill and intelligence would truly be worrying.

”I agree with Chiyo’s view. This isn’t an attack. It’s a warning. Someone is telling us that we are about to be attacked,” Darui said, agreeing with Chiyo’s judgment.

Although he still looked as if he had not fully woken up, there was a faint confidence in his tone.

Hiruzen glanced at Darui, then took a puff from his pipe.

Darui was this confident. Could it be that the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki was already with Kumogakure’s ninja unit?

If that were true, was Kumogakure planning to send out the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki to seize the Land of Water?

”I think we should arrange a rapid retreat. If this really is a warning, then an attack could come at any moment. And the ones preparing to attack us are clearly the forces that occupied Kirigakure.” Jiraiya’s expression was ugly.

He had just been woken from a deep sleep, but he also knew the urgency of the situation, so he did not complain.

”Is there enough time? Evacuating this many ninja isn’t easy.” Mei immediately refuted him.

She had also considered evacuation, but it was not simple. The surroundings were pitch black. Who knew where the attack might come from?

During the previous search, Konoha had even dispatched a sensory squad led by members of the Hyuga clan, yet they had found nothing.

Just as the ninja were debating whether to evacuate, a Konoha Anbu rushed in and whispered a few words into Hiruzen’s ear.

”Evacuate immediately!” Hiruzen suddenly stood up.

His voice made every ninja present turn to look at him.

”We just received intelligence. Our hot air balloon observers spotted what appeared to be flying hot air balloons at high altitude, and they have already flown higher than our own.” Hiruzen understood the urgency of the situation. He spoke quickly, then immediately walked out with Jiraiya and Mei.

The ninja present reacted at once.

Although it was only a suspected sighting, under the current circumstances, an attack could come at any moment. They had to retreat.

And high-altitude hot air balloons meant the enemy’s attack might come from the sky.

This made every ninja present think of one name.

Heavenly Demon.

That person liked launching attacks from the air, and those attacks were unbelievably powerful.

If it truly was Heavenly Demon, then they would be in serious trouble here.

In an instant, all kinds of defensive barriers lit up around the Allied Shinobi Forces’ encampment.

Large groups of ninja began to evacuate quickly, not even bothering with their tents.

As for the defensive barriers, they did not expect too much from them.

Kirigakure also had defensive barriers. As one of the great ninja villages, it had even more personnel responsible for establishing and maintaining such barriers.

Yet Kirigakure had still been annihilated without a single detailed message escaping.

If a great village’s long-established defensive barriers were useless, temporary ones were even less reliable.

”Is it really Heavenly Demon?” Jiraiya ran quickly.

He already knew some things about Heavenly Demon.

For example, Konoha had basically confirmed that this Heavenly Demon was the rogue ninja from Konoha, Amamiya Kenichi.

Although there was still a margin of error, based on all kinds of intelligence, that person was very likely Heavenly Demon.

”We’re not certain, but it’s possible.” Hiruzen observed the sky above.

He knew that Heavenly Demon liked attacking from the air. If they could detect the attack in advance, there might still be a way to counter it.

Moreover, this time, the Allied Shinobi Forces from the four villages were stationed at a certain distance from one another.

After all, expecting these ninja to truly trust each other was too difficult.

Unexpectedly, this arrangement reduced the possibility of them being wiped out by Heavenly Demon in one strike.

”There...” Hiruzen’s pupils contracted.

He saw something rapidly falling through the dark night sky.

Hiruzen did not have time to create a Shadow Clone.

The object was falling far too fast.

He opened his mouth directly and released a thunderous sound wave, launching a high-speed attack toward the unidentified falling object.

At the same time, he saw several other ninjutsu flying toward the unidentified object from different directions.

”Deploy defensive barriers! Use your strongest defensive ninjutsu!” Jiraiya shouted.

Destroying the object would be his teacher’s responsibility. His own task was to ensure that Konoha’s ninja avoided as many casualties as possible.

But in the next second, everything around them suddenly fell silent.

Then, a piercing blast roared across the night.

At the same time, not far away, a scorching light expanded outward and transformed into red flames rising into the sky.

A tremendous force instantly shattered the defensive barriers.

Scorching heat swept over them.

Jiraiya’s pupils contracted.

Such terrifying power from this distance?

But he had no time to think.

He immediately used the most comprehensive Water Release ninjutsu he could cast in his normal state. Then, without hesitation, he followed it with Earth Release, raising a tall wall in an attempt to protect the Konoha ninja behind him.

But it was too fast.

The high temperature instantly vaporized Jiraiya’s Water Release ninjutsu. The shockwave swept forward, destroying one defensive ninjutsu after another.

The hastily constructed defenses of the ninja vanished without a trace beneath the brilliance of the atomic bomb.

At the same time, a powerful sense of discomfort surged into Jiraiya’s heart.

The dazzling mushroom cloud continued to rise.

Nuclear radiation, extreme heat, and violent shockwaves raged across the land.

For a time, nothing could be heard.

The ninja’s ears were almost deafened.

The surrounding trees were flattened. Trees near the center of the blast were either charred black or had vanished entirely, their remains blown somewhere no one could see.

”This is...” Obito’s pupils contracted.

What exactly was this unbelievably powerful thing?

Was this ninjutsu?

What scale of ninjutsu could possibly be like this?

And why, even while standing here, could he still feel that uncomfortable sensation? Why could he still feel a hot wind sweeping over him?

”This should be the thing that destroyed Kirigakure,” Black Zetsu said, also looking at the scene in astonishment.

However, the shock in his heart was not as deep, because he had once witnessed even more terrifying power.

Although this power was frightening, it was not absolutely invincible compared to what he had seen before.

Even so, he now understood why Kirigakure had been destroyed and why the White Zetsu he had hidden there had failed to send back any information.

This thing was truly awe-inspiring.

The instantaneous explosion, the unimaginable high temperature, and the massive destructive force. The White Zetsu and those spies were likely destroyed the moment they tried to flee.

The Three-Tails had probably been killed or severely wounded when facing this thing, then taken away by Amamiya Kenichi afterward.

Obito could not help but take a step back.

The uncomfortable sensation weakened slightly.

He looked at the red mushroom cloud in the distance and the firelight illuminating the forest, his expression growing increasingly grim.

”That guy is still getting stronger. This can’t continue.” Obito clenched his fists.

If Amamiya Kenichi was determined to oppose him, then how long would he have to wait before he could create a world with Rin?

Thinking of the idea he had recently formed, Obito felt more and more that it was feasible.

After all, this world was full of the remains of powerful individuals.

He only needed to find those remains to create an army strong enough to suppress Amamiya Kenichi.

He could even bring that person back to this world.

Let’s try it.
