Chapter 416: Why No One Dares to Marry Mei Terumī

Wood Release: Wood Golem Jutsu was one of the First Hokage Senju Hashirama’s signature ninjutsu.

Above it stood Sage Art Wood Release: True Several Thousand Hands, a ninjutsu capable of smashing Uchiha Madara’s Perfect Susanoo. However, Kenichi’s Wood Release was still in its developmental stage.

So far, the most advanced technique he could use was Wood Golem Jutsu.

That said, Kenichi had also done some research into True Several Thousand Hands and Top Transformed Buddha. In his view, that ninjutsu was far too wasteful. Perhaps it could be improved.

Watching the giant Wood Golem swing a fist toward him, Jiraiya no longer had time to stay astonished. He opened his mouth and once again used Sage Art: Goemon.

However, the reason the First Hokage had been called the God of Shinobi was precisely because Wood Release was not countered by Fire Release.

Otherwise, for the Uchiha clan, who loved fire-style techniques, Hashirama would never have been so troublesome.

Looking at the giant Wood Golem, whose surface had been set ablaze but still came smashing down with its fist, helplessness flashed through Jiraiya’s eyes.

This ninjutsu was too strong.

He could now truly understand how powerless others must have felt when facing the First Hokage.

”A ninjutsu of this scale is way too unfair.”

Jiraiya could only dodge.

The Wood Golem’s fist slammed into the ground, stirring up massive amounts of dirt and scattering debris in every direction.

But before Jiraiya could find a better position, Kenichi controlled the Wood Golem to smash down another fist. At the same time, it kicked toward Kitsuchi’s position.

Jiraiya leaped up sharply, then slammed the Super Great Ball Rasengan in his hand into the Wood Golem’s fist.

The Rasengan’s powerful twisting force instantly tore apart the Wood Golem’s fist and shredded all the way up to its forearm.

But that was all.

If this had been an ordinary person, such an injury would have basically decided the outcome. After all, losing one hand made forming hand signs inconvenient, while the pain and blood loss would expose even more openings.

However, Jiraiya was facing the Wood Golem Jutsu.

This level of injury was no problem for the Wood Golem.

Jiraiya could only helplessly dodge the Wood Golem’s second incoming punch.

At the same time, a large amount of chakra surged from the Wood Golem’s wrist, instantly repairing the destroyed hand.

”How are you supposed to fight something this big?”

Jiraiya felt a headache coming on.

Kitsuchi, meanwhile, was in an even worse state.

Facing the massive foot that came down with flying dirt and overwhelming force, Kitsuchi’s eyes nearly split as he desperately tried to dodge. But the masked man opposite him clung to him with everything he had, as if he did not care about his own life at all.

Left with no choice, Kitsuchi hardened his resolve and pierced the masked man’s chest with an Earth Spear.

Even so, the opponent still held on tightly.

Then, accompanied by the other party’s hearty laughter, Kitsuchi and the masked man were kicked away together.

The masked man’s lower body was completely gone.

Kitsuchi spat out a mouthful of blood and flew backward, snapping several trees before finally stopping.

”These lunatics...”

Kitsuchi coughed up blood.

That guy had no intention of holding back. Did he not even see his own teammate as human?

But thankfully, he...

Just as Kitsuchi was about to check the result of his attack, he saw the masked man who had just been blasted away slowly standing up again.

The lower half of his body, which should have been shattered, had already returned to normal.

Kitsuchi’s pupils shrank.

However, the tremendous impact had also shattered the masked man’s mask. As the fragments broke apart and fell, a familiar face appeared before him.

”You are... Danzo Shimura!”

Kitsuchi stared at Danzo in shock.

Of course he knew that face.

For every Ninja Village in the Ninja World, gathering intelligence on other villages had always been a top priority. When it came to Konoha, the organization known as Root always appeared in intelligence reports.

As Root’s leader, Danzo naturally entered the sights of the higher-ups of every major Ninja Village.

Moreover, he had done plenty of dirty work.

Today, he could cooperate with Iwagakure to trip up Kumogakure. Tomorrow, he could cooperate with Kumogakure to set a trap for Iwagakure.

He had truly committed all sorts of evil.

When Danzo died before, the various Ninja Villages had been pleased for quite some time, thinking that with one less old bastard around, heaven had finally opened its eyes.

But now, Kitsuchi never expected to meet him again.

Danzo had no intention of chatting with Kitsuchi.

He had come out this time to test his current strength, but overall, there were still some problems. Without sufficient preparation, he could not take down Kitsuchi in a short period of time.

Now that Kitsuchi was heavily injured, it would be far too embarrassing if Danzo still could not finish him off.

Danzo formed hand signs, then opened his mouth and fired Vacuum Great Sphere directly at Kitsuchi.

Kitsuchi’s expression turned grim.

He had just been kicked by the Wood Golem, and several bones in his legs were now broken. Dodging this Vacuum Great Sphere would be extremely difficult.

He could only hurriedly form hand signs and use Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall to protect himself.

But then, a figure suddenly dropped from the sky in front of him.

She stomped one foot onto the ground, and the overwhelming force instantly stirred up a massive amount of earth, combining with the Earth-Style Wall to successfully block Danzo’s Vacuum Great Sphere.

”Tsunade?!”

Danzo was somewhat surprised.

He had not expected Tsunade to arrive so quickly.

Tsunade’s expression was dark.

She stared at Danzo before her.

He had died. She had even attended his funeral. That meant the Danzo standing in front of her was clearly not a normal living person.

It had to be that bastard Kenichi using Edo Tensei.

”So Killer Bee entered the Land of Fire because of this...”

Tsunade glanced at the chaotic battlefield and the Wood Golem that was brutally chasing Jiraiya, then took a deep breath.

As the strongest Ninja Village in the Ninja World, when had Konoha ever suffered such a heavy loss?

Earlier, while Tsunade had still been stationed in Konoha, she received intelligence from the Anbu that Killer Bee had directly entered the Land of Fire.

That was a major incident.

Killer Bee was the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Kumogakure’s trump card. His status was second only to the Fourth Raikage, A. For him to trespass directly into the Land of Fire was, frankly speaking, enough to provoke a war.

Because of that, Tsunade had hurried toward the Allied Shinobi Forces’ gathering point.

On the way, she encountered Konoha ninja who had come requesting aid. Only then did she learn that the Allied Shinobi Forces had been attacked by the Heavenly Demon, that they had suffered heavy casualties, and that the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was not long for this world.

When she arrived, the first thing she noticed was the Wood Golem chasing and beating Jiraiya. Then she saw Kitsuchi, who was on the verge of death, so she immediately jumped down.

Kitsuchi could not die.

Neither could Darui.

If all these people were wiped out inside the Land of Fire, Tsunade could already imagine the immense pressure Konoha would face.

Only these high-ranking ninja speaking out could clear Konoha of suspicion.

”Elder Danzo, are you planning to betray the village?” Tsunade asked with an ugly expression as she stared at Danzo, who had stopped attacking.

Danzo had once been a powerful elder of Konoha, and his funeral had been held with great ceremony. The Third Hokage had allowed Danzo to die with dignity.

But now, Danzo was standing on Konoha’s opposite side, and Kitsuchi had seen his face.

Was this not pushing Konoha straight onto a burning stove?

”Edo Tensei. You should know this ninjutsu, shouldn’t you?” Danzo looked at Tsunade. ”This old man is simply doing what he can.”

Tsunade’s arrival made things troublesome.

Danzo knew very well that there was a gap between himself and Tsunade. Even when he had the Sharingan, he needed to be extremely cautious when facing her.

Now, without the Sharingan, he was at an even greater disadvantage.

While Tsunade and Danzo faced each other, Mei was doing something significant on the other side of the battlefield.

”This won’t do.”

Mei dodged Minato’s Rasengan, then awkwardly used the Body Flicker Technique to evade the Wood Golem’s massive kick, barely catching her breath.

”This guy should be Minato Namikaze. You...”

Darui dodged the Wood Golem’s foot and landed in a tree canopy. Before he could finish speaking, Minato’s kunai embedded itself into the tree trunk beside him.

”You hold off the Yellow Flash,” Mei said, glancing at the giant Wood Golem as cold light flashed in her eyes. ”I have a ninjutsu that might work against this big guy.”

Mei was a powerful ninja who could succeed as Mizukage at any time.

Darui’s strength and intelligence were also outstanding, and the Fourth Raikage, A, had already been training him as the next Raikage.

With two Kage-level fighters dealing with Minato, they should have held a clear advantage.

If not for the unpredictability of the Flying Thunder God Technique, it would not have been easy for Minato to hold both of them back.

Fortunately, after Kenichi used the Wood Golem Jutsu, the situation changed.

Facing the Wood Golem’s massive attacks, even Mei and Darui could not afford to be careless. With Minato interfering as well, they were instantly forced into a disadvantage.

Darui nodded.

Then, when Minato appeared beside him and launched a Rasengan, Darui directly used taijutsu to forcefully grab Minato’s wrist before striking him with Black Panther.

In exchange, Minato kicked him in the stomach, but Darui still held on.

The effect of Black Panther temporarily restricted Minato, though it would not last long.

But Mei was a Kage-level fighter.

She seized that opening and launched two ninjutsu, one after another, at the Wood Golem.

A large amount of viscous acid directly covered half of the Wood Golem’s body. Its powerful corrosiveness released a foul smell, and under the effect of Lava Release: Melting Apparition Jutsu, huge amounts of smoke rose from the Wood Golem’s enormous body.

Mei did not stop there.

She opened her mouth and sprayed out a large amount of high-temperature mist, enveloping the Wood Golem.

In an instant, the mist was filled with fierce corrosion. The sizzling sounds alone were enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

Jiraiya, who had been the main target of the Wood Golem’s pursuit, naturally did not waste the opportunity Mei had created.

Without hesitation, he used Rasengan to blow off one of the Wood Golem’s legs, restricting its mobility.

Combined with Mei’s two ninjutsu, the Wood Golem was instantly corroded black.

Its huge body stiffened and stopped moving.

”This is seriously disgusting.”

As soon as Lava Release: Melting Apparition Jutsu spread over the Wood Golem, Kenichi had already jumped onto a nearby tree canopy.

Clearly, against the combined attacks of Mei and Jiraiya, the Wood Golem was at a disadvantage.

Kenichi could naturally continue infusing chakra to fix the problem, but he did not want to jump over there. Even from here, he could smell that pungent odor.

Seeing this, Kenichi could not help but look at Mei a few more times.

The current Mei was still fair-skinned and beautiful, with a striking figure. Her exaggerated curves were especially eye-catching.

”I suddenly understand why Mei Terumī can’t find anyone to marry. If it were me, I wouldn’t dare either. If that ever...”

The image of a corroded banana flashed through Kenichi’s mind, and he instantly understood why Mei could not find a partner.

Under normal circumstances, a powerful woman like Mei, good-looking, strong, and with such a stunning figure while young, should not lack suitors.

Yet Mei had always been unable to marry.

Now, after seeing her constantly spit out corrosive substances, Kenichi understood.

”That’s enough. If this keeps going...”

Kenichi glanced at Tsunade, who had joined the battle and was brutally beating Danzo, then stroked his chin.

His purpose this time was simple: to demonstrate his deterrent power to the Four Great Ninja Villages and inflict casualties on their ninja.

If he continued pursuing and attacking, he might end up facing encirclement by four Kage-level fighters.

Moreover, his chakra was not infinite.

Slaying The King of Death and Wood Golem Jutsu had nearly drained him dry, especially Slaying The King of Death. This was his first time using it, and to maximize its range, the chakra he consumed was enough to exhaust several Jonin.

Continuing the battle would be meaningless, and he would be surrounded.

So...

Thinking of this, Kenichi stepped on the tree canopy and quickly left the battlefield.

As for Danzo and Minato, he was not worried. He only needed to release the Edo Tensei, and there would be no problem.

As for whether the Four Great Ninja Villages would unite?

Kenichi’s gaze turned toward the distance.

That would depend on whether Konoha could wash this stench off itself.

”Are you trying to start a war?!”

—-

Ōnoki looked at the ninja in front of him with shock and anger.

They wore uniform clothing, all concealing their identities.

”Retreat!”

Clearly, these ninja had no intention of fighting Ōnoki. They immediately fled.

Ōnoki wanted to pursue, but the moment he chased after them, the leader of the group suddenly turned his head.

A pair of strange eyes appeared in Ōnoki’s sight.

Ōnoki’s body stiffened.

He immediately broke free from the genjutsu, but by then, the enemy had already escaped.

”Tsuchikage-sama, we found a Kumogakure forehead protector.”

A blood-covered Anbu ran over and handed him a forehead protector.

Ōnoki looked at the forehead protector in his hand, then thought back to the pair of eyes he had just seen.

His expression darkened.

Was someone deliberately trying to provoke them?
