Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 1029: Chapter 428: Holy Land Baptism

Bonas sat on the ground holding his nose, his eyes filled with disbelief.

His physical body had originally been transformed into a pure Energy Body through network Divinity, but now the area on his face that was hit made him feel like a real flesh and blood attack.

Moreover, blood continued to gush out between the fingers holding his nose.

For someone in an Energy Body status to bleed, there was only one possibility: the opponent directly damaged his origin.

”How is this possible...”

The opponent was located in the Middle Layer, separated by tens of thousands of miles, yet could directly injure him in the Realm of Reason, this was not scientific, how did he do it.

Mercury, standing behind Bonas, saw the look in Bonas’ eyes and knew what he was thinking.

He was all too familiar with this expression, after all, his reaction back then was the same.

Mercury clasped his hands behind his back, slightly inclined towards Bonas, and softly reminded:

”It’s Peace, he possesses a strange means to attack people’s origin from afar.”

Peace.

Upon hearing this name, Bonas recalled the words he had just said, and his expression turned very ugly.

But the awkwardness on his face lasted only a moment, then transformed into an inner joy, leaving Mercury beside him utterly baffled.

What’s the deal, did Peace’s attack trigger some kind of switch in this guy, and now he’s thrilled?

”What’s wrong with you?”

Bonas couldn’t bother to hold his nose anymore, he looked up at Mercury with an excited smile, his grin was exceptionally bright, even though a stream of blood dyed his teeth red.

”Just now, the control of the Divine Hall of Death was snatched away.”

Mercury: ...

Oops, this fellow must be overly stimulated, perhaps he’s gone mad.

At least as fellow associates, after watching the fun, it’s necessary to offer some comfort timely.

”No need to be too angry, soon the barrier of the Desolate Realm won’t be able to withstand our strides. By then, whether Peace enters the Realm of Reason, or like that thief hides in the Desolate Realm, we can settle scores with them.”

Bonas shook his head slightly and said: ”I’m not angry; I’m actually quite happy.”

”They rushed to seize control of the Divine Hall of Death, allowing me to sense a good thing at the very last connection with the hall.”

At this point, Bonas’s huge eyes flickered with greed:

”The woman who initially tried to seize the Divine Hall of Death, she carries within her what I’ve long been seeking for the future.”

”If I can merge her Power, I can completely escape the shackles of reality, becoming a perfect being, even the boss would be surpassed by me then.”

Bonas, during the final break with the Divine Hall of Death, sensed He Yun’s Mechanical Heart, which was the Ability he dreamed of yet couldn’t obtain.

Currently, he can only briefly integrate his consciousness into the network; his anchor and roots remain in reality.

Yet once he acquires the Mechanical Heart, allowing his physical body to integrate into machinery, any machinery could become the carrier of his mind, enabling him to alter the anchor and render his existence fully into the network.

If he truly reaches that point, every mechanical entity in the Plane he enters will become his physical form, becoming ubiquitous, forming his own network, and transforming into a concept Life.

He mentioned surpassing Joy, already sparing Joy’s dignity, realistically, if he truly achieves that, the difference between him and Joy will be vast, eliminating the need for comparison, akin to how a lion never boasts of being stronger than an ant.

Mercury knows Bonas won’t brag, even if he may become complacent.

If he claims to acquire a certain Power to surpass Joy, then he would be very close even if he doesn’t.

This made Mercury grow serious; they, as veterans of the Bright Society with the same goal, know their plans for the future would be much more realizable if they have a robust force among them.

He inquired: ”Need any help?”

Bonas shook his head and said: ”Not necessary for now. Her internal Power is still in its growth stage, far from condensing the Divinity Fire Seed, even if we want to seize it, it’s not the time yet. Acting prematurely might alert the opponents.”

”What I need to do now is find ways to observe her secretly, or even assist her when necessary, wait until she starts Awakening her Divinity, then devise a plan.”

Since Bonas said this, Mercury couldn’t continue much, only nodding:

”Peace’s presence is even more troublesome than that previous thief, initiating action against those around him isn’t easy. If you must act, you must be cautious.”

Bonas climbed up from the ground, returned to his floating wheelchair, waved his hand and said:

”I know my limits.”

Death Temple Research Institute, the circular console screen flickered briefly.

Wu Chang looked around hesitantly and asked: ”Is the electricity system here unstable?”

Inside the screen, He Yun said: ”Perhaps it’s influenced by the recent battle.”

”I have roughly mastered the usage of this institute; its research systems are more advanced than those of Hymn Company, aiding my research greatly.”

Wu Chang shrugged and said: ”Glad it’s helpful, since most of this Eternal Light Research Institute is utilized by you anyway.”

He Yun puzzled: ”Was this place originally called Eternal Light Research Institute?”

Wu Chang said: ”No, that’s a name I just gave it.”
