Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 1018: Chapter 424: Fire Seed of True Divinity_2

Aside from nurturing the Soul Cleansing Banner itself, Soul Nourishment also allocates Soul Power to enhance Wu Chang’s soul strength.

Soul strength is an indescribable hidden attribute, not displayed on the Attribute Panel, nor does its enhancement directly increase any specific attribute.

The changes within can only be experienced by Wu Chang himself.

A large amount of Soul Power entered his body through the Soul Cleansing Banner, transforming into a cool stream as it coursed through his body, finally gathering at his brow.

As the Soul Power condensed at his brow, he vaguely heard a crisp cracking sound near his ear, as if something had shattered inside his head.

The next moment, he felt his consciousness suddenly surge, rushing outward from his brow.

This sensation was similar to his earlier experience using Calamity to enter a Spirit Body, yet it was not completely the same.

At this moment, with his consciousness out of body, he felt no sense of detachment; instead, it felt as solid as when his consciousness remained in his body.

Guided by Inspiration, he simultaneously unfolded the Spatial Domain and Mystical Domain, his consciousness rapidly expanding, instantly filling the overlapping space of the two domains.

In this state, he realized that the Spatial Domain and Mystical Domain were no longer his Skills, but more akin to a part of his body.

His consciousness resonated with these two Powers of Root, bringing him an awakening.

Previously uncertain knowledge regarding Space Magic and Mysticism became clear during this awakening.

Moreover, the ”Divine Rune Decipherer” crafted by Shi Ning flashed in his mind, and he vaguely comprehended a portion of the Divine Level mysticism knowledge within it.

There is a legendary ritual named Enlightenment, which involves infusing wisdom to achieve complete enlightenment.

The feeling Wu Chang experienced now was akin to the described Enlightenment.

As the sense of awakening weakened slightly, he retracted his consciousness back to his flesh. At the moment of merging his consciousness with his body, he saw two tiny Fire Seeds deep within his body.

The aura emanating from the Fire Seeds was quite familiar, indeed the aura of Divinity.

The enhancement of his soul allowed him to observe scattered Divine Fire Seeds emerging from his own Power of Root.

As long as the soul continues to enhance, or his Power of Root further increases, these Divine Fire Seeds will continuously burn, becoming true Divinity.

They were formed relying solely on his own ability.

Thinking of this, Wu Chang’s breathing became somewhat rapid.

Condensing Divinity through one’s own power is exceedingly rare, even among Players, let alone the native Gods of the Abyss Plane.

About condensing Divinity, he once asked the All-Knowing Crystal.

Even Gods in the deeper Abyss have part of their Divinity from inheritance, and part from being directly enhanced by stronger beings using special methods.

Gods like the Great Saint Mother as Middle Level Gods, or even those of lower status, might inherit Divinity that consists merely of remnants from the broken Divinity of powerful Gods.

He then asked naturally, given the Gods’ forms are inherited, where did the initial Gods come from.

The All-Knowing Crystal’s answer was, the Primordial Spirit Core.

When the plane was newly formed and the Primordial Spirit Core was still rich, it was the easiest time for Gods to be born.

A portion of the Primordial Spirit Core would transform directly into innate Gods through the faith of intelligent beings.

For example, the Sea God General of the Silent Route could deify through the fishermen’s faith, due to the large reserves of Primordial Spirit Core in the Sun Immortal Seal preserved by Gao Mu Country.

Besides innate Gods born from faith, powerful cultivators could spontaneously attract the Primordial Spirit Core through highly refined bodies and souls, thereby awakening Divinity.

These formed the earliest Gods of the Abyss.

As the Primordial Spirit Core gradually thinned, meeting the demands for godhood became increasingly difficult.

Great Evil Gods like Leman and Kristen, with their true forms residing in the Abyss Third Layer, even the All-Knowing Crystal cannot predict.

Among other beings with Divinity Wu Chang had met, only Joy did not rely on external aids for self-awakening Divinity.

Joy calls it, true Divinity.

He still recalls when battling Joy, how Joy’s reverse-sky capabilities allowed reliance on own true Divinity to withstand his Chaos Authority.

Though his Chaos Authority was not actuated using Divine Power, and its development was not complete, but nevertheless Authority is Authority.

Had it been a God of Hel’s level, they would have been eliminated, yet somehow, couldn’t eradicate Joy’s descended projection, displaying the strength of true Divinity.

Now, with Wu Chang’s increased Inspiration, he too has touched the edge of true Divinity.

Once he gains true Divinity, when they meet again, he’ll see if Joy can withstand his Chaos Authority.

After clearing the blocking lost souls, Wu Chang and his companions entered the Research Division.

Inside the Research Division was undamaged by the battle; brightly lit, it was easy to see the interior layout.

The entire Research Division was a large laboratory, internally divided into several sections for carrying out different types of experiments.

The central region of the laboratory was an entire circular console. Judging by the seating arrangement, operating these instruments simultaneously required hundreds of researchers.

At the center of the workstation was a circular area spanning hundreds of square meters. The flooring within this area was transparent, revealing a specially treated underground space beneath.

In this space lay a Surface People girl, approximately three meters tall, externally resembling Hel, with the left half of the body restored to a normal Underground People form, while the right half retained a dread-inducing Surface People appearance.
