Beating Instances through Words Left by the Dead

Chapter 125: Chapter 120: A Novel Strategy for Defeating the Boss

Wu Chang and Sword Star, wearing golden masks, walked out of the special wishing chamber and into the Miracle Committee headquarters. The staff they encountered in the corridors would stop and greet them.

In the eyes of the staff, the two were already considered true Miracle Committee members.

Entering the elevator they came in, their Miracle Committee identities were confirmed, and the elevator’s floor panel revealed a hidden level.

Underground Level Five.

Choosing the floor, the elevator did not directly go to the fifth underground level but paused briefly on the fourth underground level. Then, like entering Dream Plaza from Wanghai City, it passed through a certain teleportation point before arriving at the fifth underground level.

The elevator doors opened to reveal a five-meter-tall door, primarily white and gold, with intricate carvings, appearing exceptionally sacred and solemn.

Looking at this door, one would instinctively think of words like grandeur and miracle.

The entire fifth underground level had only this room in front of them.

Wu Chang had seen the scene behind the door in the old man’s resentment, after all, the old man could not always hoard food for himself; occasionally, he had to bring back some food to share with his colleagues.

And the food, naturally, was best when fresh.

As the two approached the door, faint calls began to emanate from behind, as if welcoming them back.

Every near-collapse dungeon is rife with players’ resentment, and the Heart’s Desire dungeon is no exception.

The door was stained with the resentment of many players, and those who could make it this far all possessed special skills.

Although they didn’t defeat the BOSS, without the dungeon rules killing them, they discovered quite a few of the BOSS’s methods through direct confrontation.

Among them, there was a deep red resentment, where the owner had lasted the longest behind the door and obtained the most information.

The owner of the resentment was a Holy Knight with tanking, output, healing capabilities, and the ability to buff themselves, effectively a one-person team, making them one of the strongest occupations in solo dungeons.

He was extremely confident in his strength, equipped with a set of buffs for the clearly apparent BOSS room, and entered without much hesitation.

However, opening the door was easy. Once the door closed, the room became its own space, making leaving difficult.

As the light illuminated, the Holy Knight saw the BOSS inside the room.

It wasn’t any grand miracle, but a mutated mass of flesh intertwined and fused from dozens of Miracle Committee members.

They called themselves the Tree of Miracles.

The Tree of Miracles was a mechanic creature, a creation formed by multiple Miracle Committee members’ fusion, granting them over a dozen different attack methods.

Not only did they have a high health bar, but they naturally carried a multi-strike effect. During wishing, the resonance of protection from over a dozen minor miracles would release a powerful, attack-oriented wish.

The most annoying part was, the Tree of Miracles could not only use its own wishes but could also materialize players’ wishes as weapons.

After entering the second stage of the battle, it occasionally materialized the Holy Knight’s wish, which was an A-Level Holy Angel Set. Each time this equipment was materialized, the Tree of Miracles could use the set’s effects to restore a large amount of life value.

The Holy Knight fought the Tree of Miracles for an entire day, utterly smashing three Miracle Committee members before being worn down and killed by the Tree of Miracles.

The biggest regret in the Holy Knight’s resentment was not taking out a small loan before going down to the dungeon to purchase an Item that could continuously restore Life and Energy during combat. If he had that Item, it would have been the Tree of Miracles that got worn down and killed.

Hence, his blood-colored will was related to this.

[I want to wear the Tree of Miracles down, bit by bit, without resistance!]

I have to say, these players who died in the Abyssal Game have a strong desire for revenge.

Wu Chang originally thought that many people’s dying concerns would involve sending money to someone in reality or simply ”take care of my great uncle!”

However, it seems that most players’ minds before death were entirely focused on the BOSS before them, unable to spare any thought for a life-flashing moment of reflection.

Combining the Holy Knight’s resentment with the resentment of several other players, it could be seen that as long as the right method is found, defeating the Tree of Miracles is not that difficult.

Firstly, your wish must be either powerful enough or weak enough; either strong to the point that the Tree of Miracles can’t materialize it, or weak to the point that even if materialized, it doesn’t change the battle situation, otherwise you’d be like the Holy Knight, tormenting yourself.

Secondly, the Tree of Miracles’ mechanisms are complicated, with varied attack methods, but its damage is not high. As long as one possesses a certain degree of defensive value or a strong tank, coupled with sufficient Recovery Items, one can wear down and defeat the Tree of Miracles.

For example, the medicine king flow of wealthy players, summon flow, including the Holy Knight’s flow, can all defeat the Tree of Miracles.

However, these methods all involve direct confrontation with the Tree of Miracles, requiring extremely high combat power, which is not what Wu Chang needs.

His current identity is a newcomer to the Management Bureau, having just completed the Peaceful Town Dungeon, at about level ten. On what basis could he be expected to face the B-Level uncontrolled dungeon BOSS head-on?

No head-on confrontation at all!

But through continuous observation, he discovered a weak point.

The Tree of Miracles is a fixed BOSS, growing like actual trees in places where a grand miracle ought to exist.

Moreover, the Miracle Committee members transformed into trees have greatly diminished Perception Ability. Although the room door locks as soon as a player enters, combat does not initiate immediately.

Players always need to attack first before the Tree of Miracles responds with a counterattack.

One rogue used Stealth Skills to exit combat, recovering strength while the Tree of Miracles lost target and was dazed.
