The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 978: Chapter 978: Not Dizzy (3)

Yang Ruxin’s eyes narrowed slightly, but she said nothing and obediently sat down.

Xiaomei skillfully brewed the tea, and then poured a cup for Yang Ruxin to enjoy.

Yang Ruxin picked up the teacup, examined it, and sniffed it, then couldn’t help but smile, ”What a fine tea.”

Xiaomei didn’t speak, just stood respectfully by the side. After Yang Ruxin had finished the tea, she exhaled subconsciously but quickly adjusted her breathing, as if the sigh was merely an illusion.

Yang Ruxin smiled, was about to get up, but suddenly yawned.

”Miss Yang, are you tired? Would you like to rest here for a bit?” Xiaomei’s eyes shone brightly.

”Since you’re so considerate...” Yang Ruxin yawned again, ”how can I not appreciate your kindness?” She walked over to the bamboo couch and lay down at once.

”Then I will light the brazier...” Xiaomei’s mouth curled slightly as she took a brazier, filled it with silver charcoal, and lit it. She threw in two fragrant cakes, and soon, the room was filled with a rich aromatic scent.

”Miss Yang?” Xiaomei came over and pushed Yang Ruxin a bit.

Yang Ruxin remained motionless, apparently fast asleep.

Xiaomei called out a few more times and, after confirming that Yang Ruxin was not pretending, stood up and hurried out.

However, as soon as Xiaomei left the bamboo house, Yang Ruxin, who was supposedly sound asleep, suddenly opened her eyes, sat up, and thought, Just this enchanting fragrance is supposed to control me? They underestimate me too much. After all, I bear the title of Dao Xuzi’s disciple. Hasn’t the Shen Family investigated this? Why still resort to this trick? Do they underestimate me or my master?

Soon, footsteps and voices came from outside.

Yang Ruxin lay back down on the bamboo couch and closed her eyes, determining whether the other party intended to tarnish her reputation with infidelity or to kidnap her.

”Is she really out?” asked a man’s voice.

”I have confirmed it,” replied Xiaomei’s voice. ”Not only did she drink the drugged tea, but the brazier also had fragrant incense...”

”With you handling things, this young master is at ease,” the man’s voice oozed sleaziness.

”Second Young Master, please go in quickly. I will go and inform the Second Miss...” Xiaomei smiled slightly.

Then the door was pushed open, someone came in, and the door was shut again.

Shen Wenbi approached the bamboo couch and sat down, looking at Yang Ruxin’s face, ”She’s passable, for a country girl. This young master will condescend to favor you, and then you can be a concubine...” As he spoke, he reached out to tear at her clothing.

However, before his hand could touch the fabric, his wrist was suddenly grabbed, and then his entire body was twisted around, his arm pinned behind his back.

”You... You’re not knocked out?” Shen Wenbi exclaimed in surprise.

”I am, after all, a disciple of the Divine Doctor Dao Xuzi; to be taken down so easily would be quite the embarrassment,” scoffed Yang Ruxin.

Shen Wenbi inwardly cursed his luck.

”Shen Wenbi, with your behavior, did you ever ask if I’d be interested before you threw yourself at me?” Yang Ruxin snorted coldly, ”Since the Shen Family is so enthusiastic, I can’t just ignore your hospitality. I’m sure you will like this token of my gratitude...”

Shen Wenbi suddenly felt a less than pleasant sensation, but before he could say another word, his head throbbed in pain, and then he knew nothing more.
