The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 963: Chapter 963: A Conversation (6)

Wang Hehua shook her head, ”She didn’t say, and I asked too, she just said maybe it was Xiaoxiang’s good fortune coming her way... She didn’t insist on an immediate answer, but she also said it would be best to give an answer soon, or else the chance might slip away.”

”Alright, I got it.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”I’ll have someone inquire about this Xie village chief these next few days. You all can decide afterward. If Dong the matchmaker comes again, just say the head of the household isn’t around, and we’ll wait for Zhong to return before discussing...” As she spoke, she stood up, ”I’ll head back first, Sister Xiaoxiang, see me off, will you?”

Xiaoxiang understood Ruxin intended to speak with her alone, so she followed her out the door.

”Sister Xiaoxiang, what are your thoughts on your own marriage prospects?” Yang Ruxin glanced at Li Xiang.

”I...” Li Xiang appeared somewhat shy.

”There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.” Yang Ruxin reached out and took Li Xiang’s hand, ”Which girl isn’t full of romantic dreams?”

”Xinxin, have you thought about it?” Li Xiang looked up at Yang Ruxin, ”Back then you liked Guan Qingshu so much, but why did you give up on him later?”

”Xiaoxiang, to be honest, everyone fantasizes about their married life, after all, marriage is like a woman’s rebirth.” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”I did like Guan Qingshu before, but later on, I realized he just wasn’t the one for me. I liked him, he didn’t like me, so I promptly pulled back. I used to think about earning money and living my life, not wanting to be bullied by anyone, but then I met Gu Qingheng. Although he was disabled at the time, he was good to me, so naturally, I seized the chance...”

”You’re really brave!” Li Xiang exclaimed with admiration.

”You can do it too.” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”If there’s someone you like among the people you know, that’s the best. If not, I’ll help you look into it, but what I hope is that you won’t be fooled by superficial things...” She was saying this when suddenly her brow furrowed, and she turned around abruptly, ”Who’s behind us? Come out!”

Guan Qingshu actually just wanted to take a walk and hadn’t expected to run into Yang Ruxin. He was delighted inside; he had never intended to follow or eavesdrop on them. However, when he heard her say she didn’t like him anymore, and therefore she didn’t like herself, he stepped on a stone in his dejection. He really wanted to say he hadn’t stopped liking her; it was just that he hadn’t realized it before. Now, he knew. He liked her, but...

As a result, he was discovered and had no choice but to come out.

”Guan Qingshu?” Yang Ruxin’s brows furrowed, ”Are you following us?”

”No...” Guan Qingshu hurriedly waved his hands, ”I was just passing by...”

Yang Ruxin nodded slightly, ”Fine, let’s say you were passing by.” Then she looked at Xiaoxiang, ”You should hurry back. Auntie is alone at home and it could be dangerous...”

”Alright.” Li Xiang squeezed Yang Ruxin’s hand and then turned back toward her home.

Yang Ruxin also turned to walk towards the outskirts of the village.

”Xinxin...” Guan Qingshu hurriedly took two steps and blocked Yang Ruxin’s path.

Yang Ruxin slightly raised her eyebrows, looking at the young man before her.

”Um...” Guan Qingshu swallowed, then also looked straight into Yang Ruxin’s eyes, ”Xinxin, I... I have something to tell you...” As he spoke, his face actually turned red.

Seeing Guan Qingshu’s embarrassed look, Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but laugh insincerely, ”Great Scholar Guan, what is it that you want to say? Don’t tell me it’s a confession?”
