The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 974: Chapter 974: Friends (5)

Everyone then left the room and followed a corridor towards a Warm Pavilion deep in the Plum Grove.

”Xinxin, you are so amazing,” Wei Yao had been following Yang Ruxin closely, and now her eyes shone with admiration.

”Actually, it’s not that I’m amazing, it’s that they are too foolish,” Yang Ruxin said with a smile, ”and moreover, because they don’t understand me at all, they try to harm me. Then, they can only humiliate themselves.”

”You really are different from others,” Wei Yao sighed with envy, ”I really admire you.”

”If you want to fear no one, you have to become strong yourself,” Yang Ruxin glanced at Wei Yao, ”Only when you are strong enough, you won’t need to look at other people’s faces...”

”It’s easy to say, but it’s so hard,” Wei Yao sighed.

Yang Ruxin didn’t know what to say, so she just patted the back of Wei Yao’s hand. The shackles this era placed on women were too many. She was grateful she had arrived in a rural area rather than a grand household, with no relatives constantly suppressing her with rules. She was also grateful for having met a man who trusted her unconditionally. And with her ”golden finger,” she could fearlessly do as she pleased. As for others... that was indeed more difficult.

”Can I be friends with you?” Wei Yao’s spirit only dampened momentarily, and then her large, bright eyes sparkled once again.

”Why not?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.

”Will you look down on my status as a concubine’s daughter?” Wei Yao was slightly conflicted again, ”Many legitimate young ladies in town don’t like to associate with concubine-born girls...”

”Why should I look down on you?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly, ”Are concubine-born not human? Or are you inferior to others?”

Wei Yao shook her head: ”Because my father is a concubine-born son, so my brother and I are also considered concubine-born in the Wei Family. However, my father only has my mother as his wife. Since I was young, my parents taught me many things. I don’t think I am less than anyone else...”

”As long as you don’t look down on yourself, how others see you is their business. Why bother with it?” Yang Ruxin looked at Wei Yao, ”I’m still a country girl. I don’t feel inferior either. So, would you look down on me?”

”How could I possibly look down on you?” Wei Yao quickly shook her head, then took Yang Ruxin’s hand and gave it a shake, ”Listening to you talk is so refreshing. Oh, by the way, my family runs an Embroidery Store, the Longfeng Embroidery Village. My birthday is on the fifth day of the first lunar month, I will be reaching the age of marriage in a few days...”

”I will reach the age of marriage next year too, but my birthday is on the 20th day of the seventh month,” Yang Ruxin smiled, ”Longfeng Embroidery Village, huh? There was a time not long ago when my family was going through tough times, and my sister Xinxin did some embroidery work for your family. You always took good care of us...”

”Really? Then I should be considered your elder sister,” Wei Yao became a bit excited, ”I ought to thank my parents. If they had been narrow-minded, perhaps you wouldn’t be speaking to me now, right?”

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but find the young girl rather amusing.

”Xinxin, this thing you’ve brought is really interesting. If...” Wei Yao pointed to the gloves hanging around Yang Ruxin’s neck and the fingerless gloves on her hands, ”if these were made, they would definitely sell well...”

”These are my own designs. Are you interested?” Yang Ruxin raised her eyebrows slightly.

Wei Yao’s eyes suddenly widened: ”Are you willing to cooperate with me?”

”Why wouldn’t I be willing if there’s money to be made?” Yang Ruxin nodded, ”We can talk more about it when we have time.”
