The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 967: Chapter 967: To the Shen Family (4)

”That’s great,” Shen Yilan immediately smiled broadly, ”or you could also take your sisters with you to have fun for a day...”

”We’ll see,” Yang Ruxin smiled.

Having received a positive response, Shen Yilan didn’t persist any further. She left after placing the gifts she had brought with her.

”Big sister, are you really going?” Sanni tugged on Yang Ruxin’s sleeve after the other party had left.

”What can I do if I don’t go? Since this woman is so persistent, I must go and see what exactly she’s selling in her gourd, right?” Yang Ruxin chuckled, ”By the way, do you want to come with me and see for yourself?”

”I don’t want to go at all,” Sanni shook her head, ”If they have an ulterior motive, and I, being so young, fall prey to it, then you’ll be at a disadvantage. I won’t go and make trouble for you...” No one could bully you if you were alone.

”You little girl are getting smarter by the day,” Yang Ruxin laughed, ”However, everything has its pros and cons. You’re talking about the disadvantages, but there are also benefits. For example, you could learn how people from those big families go about harming others...”

”I already learned that last time at the Fang Family. It’s just doping and stuff, right?” Sanni pouted, ”Those big families are really dirty...”

”Well, if you’re not interested, let’s drop it,” Yang Ruxin waved her hand, ”Let’s go, tonight we’re having hot pot.” Oh, when will chili peppers ever show up?

That very night, the temperature plunged suddenly, even a north wind started blowing. The next morning when stepping out of the door, the whole world seemed to be frozen over, probably down to minus fourteen or fifteen degrees.

”On days like this, I really don’t want to leave the house,” Yang Ruxin sighed, ”Staying at home, drinking tea, enjoying pastries, and having a good chat, how comfortable that would be...”

”Then simply don’t go,” Gu Qingheng laughed, ”It’s just the second branch of the Shen Family, offending them doesn’t matter.” Even if it were the main branch of the Shen Family, so what? If anyone dared to bully his Xinxin, he would make sure they regretted it.

”Don’t be like that,” Yang Ruxin shook her head, ”If I don’t go today, who knows how long Shen Er Miss will pester me. I should still go, shouldn’t I? Only by going can I find out their true intentions.” Saying this, she rose and got fully dressed.

In addition to the jacket and skirt she was wearing, she threw on a dark red cotton cloak. The cloak’s hood was particularly large and thick; once on and tied up, not only were the head and neck covered, but even the forehead, chin, and cheeks were blocked out, leaving only the front part of her face exposed, convenient for seeing the road and breathing.

On her hands, she first donned a pair of thinner half-finger gloves to protect the back of the hands, and around her neck hung a pair of thick cotton mittens, which she could slip into upon exiting the door, ensuring not the slightest chill.

All this attire was designed by Yang Ruxin and made by Erni; everyone in the household had a set.

”Then let’s go,” Gu Qingheng was dressed in the same way. He was not going to the Shen Family, but he was to drop Yang Ruxin off there before sending Qian Xiaoyun back home.

The carriage quickly arrived in town. Since the Shen Family was on the southeastern side of the town, they had to cross through it to get there.

Yang Ruxin and Gu Qingheng alighted from the carriage at a distance from the Shen Family’s main gate and then sent Shadow Three with Qian Xiaoyun to Niu Family Village.

”You go back first,” Yang Ruxin glanced at Gu Qingheng, ”Come pick me up in the afternoon.”

”Alright,” Gu Qingheng nodded, ”Go on inside.”
