The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

19: Chapter 19 A Blessing in the Heart”Grade: Rank 6.”

”Attribute: Bestowing Fortune +5.”

”Skill: Inspiration.”

”Name: Guangxu-era Hetian White Jade peace buckle.”

”Grade: Rank 6.”

”Attribute: Protection +4.”

”Skill: Turning Misfortune into Blessing.”

Both items were Rank 6.

And both had skills.

He didn’t know the effect of ”Inspiration,” but ”Turning Misfortune into Blessing” was easy to understand, and this was the second item in his possession with that skill.

The first was the Peony Fairy plaque he had wanted to sell to Sun Fuchang but couldn’t.

He had felt a bit reluctant to part with it before, but now it didn’t matter; he had a second one.

Furthermore, it seemed the probability of identifying skills wasn’t low.

The biggest difference should be the skill cooldown times; the higher the rank of the item, the shorter the cooldown.

As for the power of the skills...

It was unquestionable.

Not to mention the two ”Prolonging Life” items he had already sold, the two skills he had experienced himself were quite exaggerated: one was ”Wealth Pouring In” and the other was ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure,” which directly brought him millions in revenue.

In particular, the ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure” skill was something he had watched take effect with his own eyes.

It took effect, and immediately after, it attracted the old lady, allowing him to acquire two Rank 6 items with skills for the low price of 250,000.

It was truly ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure” in every sense.

It both brought wealth and treasures.

If there was any regret, it was that he hadn’t obtained a new ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure” skill. If one of these two skills had been ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure,” this buff could have been extended, and he could have sat in the shop every day without doing anything, just receiving treasures and making a fortune.

Of course, the current situation was already very, very good.

He was very satisfied.

Anyway, given the current skill drop rate, it really wouldn’t be hard to obtain similar skills; perhaps he would discover another item with a skill while out for a stroll later.

What made him even happier was getting to know such an old lady and establishing a good relationship with her.

No one knew how many more treasures the old lady had.

He didn’t dare to hope for too much, but if there were eight or ten more, he would truly be swimming in money.

Liu Jing saw the uncontrollable smile on Han Jingyang’s face and couldn’t help but lean over to probe: ”Boss, did you strike gold?”

”Hehe, that’s right.”

”How big of a treasure?”

”Very, very big.”

”Congratulations, congratulations! Boss, look, the performance this month is so good, how about giving me two extra days of paid leave?”

”No problem, team building next Monday.”

”There are only the two of us in the shop, what kind of team building are we doing? Boss, you aren’t planning to implement some ideas on me under the guise of team building, are you?”

Han Jingyang laughed: ”Right now, I only want to make money.”

Liu Jing widened her eyes: ”I teased you like that and you didn’t get angry? You only want to make money? Have you had an epiphany? As expected, men often grow up rapidly after being hit by the pain of love. Boss, I believe in you. Come on, keep up the good work!”

Just as she finished speaking, Sun Fuchang walked in, pushing the door open: ”I saw that old lady carrying a bag come to your place just now; sure enough, you snatched the deal, kid.”

Han Jingyang raised an eyebrow: ”She went to ask for a price at your place too?”

”Yeah.”

”How much did you offer?”

”Eighteen thousand.”

”You’re really unscrupulous.”

”That’s how it is. What about you?”

”Two hundred and fifty thousand.”

Sun Fuchang jumped up: ”What the hell? Two hundred and fifty thousand? Are you crazy?”

Han Jingyang patted the blue and white Yuhuchun vase in his hand: ”It’s worth that price.”

Sun Fuchang stared, asking: ”I know it’s worth it, but at this price, there’s no profit margin! Can you guarantee it will definitely sell for over four hundred thousand? And every day this thing sits in the shop, it ties up two hundred and fifty thousand in liquid capital, which will affect subsequent operations.”

This was indeed a problem.

Market price was market price, but whether it could be sold at market price was the key.

If this vase didn’t sell for two or three years, from a business perspective, it would be a loss.

Because that two hundred and fifty thousand could have earned a lot in those two or three years; if it didn’t sell, it was equivalent to constantly depreciating, and even if there was a premium two or three years later, it wouldn’t be very cost-effective.

For business people, quick liquidation is the golden rule, even in the antique trade, unless one is someone with deep funds like Zhou Yucheng.

Han Jingyang’s funds were naturally not that deep.

However, he had a cheat code.

Items with skills were ”dharma instrument”s in the eyes of outsiders, capable of adjusting feng shui and even changing one’s fate. As long as he established his reputation, he could sell them in minutes at a very high price.

The Sun Fuchang before him was a potential customer.

All he had to do was make Sun Fuchang believe in his ability.

Therefore, he smiled: ”Old Sun, you forgot my identity.”

Sun Fuchang’s expression froze for half a second: ”This... this vase is a dharma instrument?”

”Yes.”

”What is it used for?”

”Bestowing Fortune.”

Sun Fuchang cautiously followed up: ”Can you be more specific?”

Han Jingyang feigned mystery and shook his head: ”Things like this can only be understood, not explained, but they can truly be of great help at critical moments.”

”If you say it like that, who will believe you?”

”I’m not forcing anyone to believe. In business, mutual consent is the golden rule. It’s like Traditional Chinese Medicine; some believe in it, some don’t, but TCM is still TCM. Even if one day it truly disappears completely into the long river of history, that doesn’t change the fact that this discipline existed for a long time.”

Sun Fuchang was instantly speechless.

Because the logic was indeed sound.

Take feng shui, for example; in the south and in Hong Kong and Taiwan, it still has a very, very deep folk foundation. Many feng shui masters make a fortune there, and the appearance fees for top masters reach millions. If it involves large-scale projects, the costs are even higher.

Especially when it involves feng shui battles, many big businessmen really spend a lot of money, and these are anecdotes that the public loves to talk about.

How did Han Jingyang’s methods compare to those feng shui masters?

If those feng shui masters could thrive, why couldn’t Han Jingyang?

But Sun Fuchang was still unwilling: ”The term ’Bestowing Fortune’ is always too vague. Even if a buyer buys it, they’ll still be confused. In this situation, even if it’s really useful, the buyer won’t know.”

Han Jingyang thought for a moment and gave an answer: ”Let’s put it this way: this vase can help you make the right choice or solve your difficulties at critical moments.”

”Ah?”

”Do you understand the meaning of the phrase ’Inspiration’?”

”I understand, I understand. You mean...”

”Daily accumulation is released at critical moments. The operating mechanism of a dharma instrument is, to put it plainly, the accumulation and release of energy, but the attributes of the energy are different, and the effects released are also somewhat different.”

Sun Fuchang finally realized, and the way he looked at the vase changed. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva: ”How much do you plan to sell this vase for?”

”This one? Two million eight hundred thousand.”

”So expensive?”

”Even if this vase weren’t a dharma instrument, it could still be bought for several hundred thousand or even a million. Is this still expensive? It’s just because I don’t have much of a reputation right now. In two more years, if I quote twenty million, there will still be plenty of people scrambling to buy it.”

Hearing this, Sun Fuchang’s brows locked tightly together. A moment later, he gritted his teeth: ”Make it cheaper, make it cheaper and I’ll buy it.”
