The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

11: Chapter 11 Immediate ResultsOld Shen heard a movement and was overjoyed, rushing over in a hurry.

Halfway there, he stopped and turned to look at Han Jingyang.

Han Jingyang nodded slightly. ”It’s done.”

Old Shen then threw himself to the bedside. ”Mom, can you hear me? It’s Gangzi—”

The old lady mumbled a few words; her condition was clearly very poor.

But Old Shen wept with joy because since the old lady fell ill, let alone speaking, her mind hadn’t been clear; she had been in a semi-comatose state.

As the illness worsened, the situation became more severe, reaching a point where surgery was unavoidable, and the surgery wasn’t guaranteed to succeed; the risk was high.

That was why he was willing to let a young man like Han Jingyang try.

He didn’t expect it to actually succeed.

And the effect was extraordinary.

It could be said to be instant.

Less than five minutes after the bronze statue was placed, the old lady, who had been unconscious for many days, actually woke up and could even respond.

This method was truly miraculous.

Zhang Xiaohai was dumbfounded. ”This is impossible—”

Han Jingyang glanced at Zhang Xiaohai but didn’t speak. Instead, with a face as calm as a lake, he said to Old Shen, ”Get a check-up and complete the follow-up treatment as soon as possible. Feng Shui Arts are miraculous, but they aren’t omnipotent.”

Old Shen then snapped out of it and nodded hurriedly. ”Old Zhang, Old Zhang, hurry up.”

Zhang Xiaohai uttered a couple of ”oh”s before hurriedly calling for the doctors and nurses.

As the doctors and nurses rushed in and surrounded the old lady, Old Shen walked up to Han Jingyang, grabbed his hand, and shook it vigorously. ”Mr. Han, thank you, thank you very much.”

Han Jingyang pointed at the surrounded old lady. ”I won’t get involved in the follow-up treatment, nor do I have the ability to, but one thing: the position of that old god of longevity statue cannot be moved. If you move house, it must be repositioned.”

”Positioning?”

”Yes. There’s no other secret to using Feng Shui tools except for one thing: the positioning must be precise. Sometimes a difference of just three to five centimeters will significantly diminish the effect, not to mention factors like the house’s structure, materials, decoration, and layout.”

Old Shen keenly caught the key point and asked in a low voice, ”Does that mean the old god of longevity can still be used in the future?”

”Yes, but I’m not sure when it will be...” Han Jingyang thought for a moment and also lowered his voice. ”This Feng Shui tool is a bit like an aircraft carrier catapult; it needs to be charged before it can be released. After one release, it needs to be charged for a period of time, perhaps seven or eight months, or maybe three to five years.”

”How do you charge it?”

”Just leave it there. Feng Shui tools are similar to jade; it’s a process of mutual nourishment. As for that old god of longevity statue, keeping it there daily is also beneficial for the body. Once it’s fully charged, it can save someone again.”

Old Shen swallowed hard. ”You mean, this... this thing can be passed down from generation to generation? It’s permanently effective?”

”If kept well, passing it down for a few hundred years won’t be a problem.”

Old Shen was ecstatic and shook Han Jingyang’s hand vigorously again. ”Thank you. This is a life-saving heirloom. Thank you for parting with it, Mr. Han.”

Han Jingyang nodded slightly. ”You really should thank me. If I weren’t short on money, I really wouldn’t have been willing to sell it. Even my grandparents don’t have one.”

Old Shen understood. ”I understand. The compensation will definitely satisfy you. It’s just not convenient for me right now. Leave a card number, and I’ll have my wife transfer the money to you tomorrow.”

”Okay.”

”Uh, aren’t you afraid I’ll back out?”

”You’re not that kind of person,” Han Jingyang smiled. ”If you weren’t reliable, I would have taken one look and walked away. It was you who secured this stroke of luck for the old lady.”

This was the honest truth.

Old Shen’s attitude was the key to his final willingness to act.

From the moment he entered, Old Shen had shown immense trust in a young man like him, not even listening to Zhang Xiaohai, insisting on giving him a chance.

If Old Shen’s attitude had been like Zhang Xiaohai’s, he would have turned and left.

He wanted to make money, but with such a good item in hand, could he not find a buyer?

If he walked around the hospital and marketed it to wealthy patients, there would definitely be family members willing to try.

Unfortunately, Old Shen didn’t give him that chance.

Regardless of what Old Shen was actually thinking, he had given him plenty of face after he entered.

One could only say he was indeed someone from that circle; he had a way of handling people and situations.

During the pleasantries, the basic tests were completed. Zhang Xiaohai found the two of them, looking utterly confused. ”Strange, her bodily functions are actually improving. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe it.”

Old Shen took a deep breath. ”Are you sure?”

”Certain. Although we haven’t used machines or drawn blood yet, judging by her pulse, breathing, heartbeat, as well as her consciousness and physical reactions, she has indeed improved significantly. Especially her consciousness—the recovery speed is simply ridiculous.” Zhang Xiaohai turned to look at Han Jingyang. ”How did you do it?”

Han Jingyang smiled. ”You wouldn’t understand even if I told you, just as I don’t understand your professional jargon.”

After saying that, he said to Mr. Shen, ”Mr. Shen, I’ll be heading back now. Call me if anything happens.”

Old Shen hurriedly tried to make him stay. ”That won’t do. You haven’t even had a cup of tea. If word gets out, people will laugh at me for neglecting a lifesaver.”

”It’s getting late, and it’s busy and chaotic here. There’s no need to fuss over such formalities. There will be plenty of opportunities to have tea together in the future.”

”This...”

Han Jingyang didn’t give Old Shen a chance to refuse. After exchanging contact information, he left directly.

Old Shen and his wife saw him all the way to the hospital entrance.

...

Han Jingyang had just arrived home when he received a text from Zhou Yucheng: ”Xiao Han, how should I settle this fee with you?”

He glanced at it and sent his card number directly, adding three words: ”One million.”

What was his, he wouldn’t take a cent less.

Zhou Yucheng had set up this job and had also promised to pay double, so there was no need to be polite.

A few minutes later, one million in cash arrived in his account.

He logged into the app to check his balance and transaction history, then satisfied, he added Zhou Yucheng to his blacklist.

He wouldn’t deal with this old fellow again. He had previously thought the man was refined, had status, and was wealthy, but he didn’t expect him to be so pathetic when things went south.

After the transfer, Zhou Yucheng tentatively called Han Jingyang, only to find he couldn’t get through. He then realized he had been blacklisted. He was instantly angry and annoyed, and also a bit regretful, but there was nothing he could do.

Han Jingyang slept soundly.

One million plus three hundred thousand.

In one fell swoop, he had earned back the entire investment for opening the shop, with over five hundred thousand in profit.

He was delighted.

At dawn, he was called out of bed by his mom.

This time he didn’t linger in bed. He pulled out his phone and transferred eight hundred thousand to the family account. ”Mom, I’ve paid you back, principal and interest.”

Wang Yunzhi was stunned. ”What do you mean?”

”Hehe, your son just closed a big deal.”

”How much did you make?”

”A hundred units.”

”That much?”

”This is what you call a change in fortune. Just watch, your son will earn more and more in the future.”

”Really?”

”Want to check the transaction history?”

Wang Yunzhi also logged into the bank app to check. Seeing the solid balance, she instantly burst into tears and hugged Han Jingyang. ”You... you’ve finally made something of yourself. Last night, your dad and I were still worried that your shop wouldn’t survive...”

She wiped her tears as she spoke. ”This is great. Now I’ll have the confidence when introducing you to potential partners—”
