The Feng Shui Treasure Appraiser

16: Chapter 16 Finding the Dragon’s LairOld Hu waved his hand impatiently. ”This is the price, two hundred thousand, not a cent less, unless...”

”Unless what?”

Han Jingyang, Chen Zhibin, and Sun Fuchang were all interested.

Old Hu hesitated for a moment. ”Unless the buyer is a professional Feng Shui Master, and can pick a good grave for me for free.”

Chen Zhibin frowned. ”Old Hu, you’re making things difficult for others.”

Sun Fuchang laughed heartily. ”Old Hu, you’ve found the right person. This Mr. Han here is a brilliant Feng Shui Master with profound attainments. Although he isn’t very specialized in yin and yang dwellings, picking a grave is no problem for him.”

Old Hu’s eyes widened instantly. ”Really?”

Sun Fuchang: ”Of course. Why would I lie to you? It’s almost spread throughout the entire collection circle now. Mr. Han just accomplished an earth-shattering feat.”

Chen Zhibin was shocked. ”He, he is that...”

”Yes, it’s him.”

Chen Zhibin rubbed his hands nervously and said to Han Jingyang, ”Mr. Han, I failed to recognize a master. Please forgive me.”

Han Jingyang didn’t expect Sun Fuchang to reveal his identity directly, but he couldn’t tear down the stage Sun Fuchang had set for him either. He could only wave his hand with feigned humility. ”I wouldn’t call myself an expert. I’m just an ordinary apprentice from a small sect. Without a dharma instrument, I am just an ordinary person.”

”dharma instrument?” Old Hu’s eyes lit up instantly. He pointed to the compass and other items placed on the kang. ”These are all dharma instruments, used by my great-grandfather. He was a genuine Taoist priest with quite a reputation.”

Han Jingyang shook his head. ”No, no, no. They are not dharma instruments in the true sense. Without Consecration, they have no practical effect. I can only say they have the potential to become dharma instruments.”

”How is that possible?”

”I don’t know what others think, but that’s how it is for me.”

Old Hu took a deep breath and regained his composure. ”So, will you take this job or not?”

Han Jingyang pointed to the compass and other items. ”Give them to me first.”

Then he added, ”Then I’ll go pick a grave for you. If I can pick one, I’ll pick the best one for you. If I can’t, I’ll compensate you two hundred thousand. How about that?”

Old Hu frowned. ”What do you mean?”

Han Jingyang answered frankly. ”I just opened for business and have only taken two jobs, both for changing luck. I’ve never done the job of picking a grave before, so I don’t know if I can do it.”

Old Hu, on the contrary, breathed a sigh of relief. ”That’s fine.”

Chen Zhibin, who was on the side, was shocked. ”Old Hu? Although... but surely you should reconsider?”

Obviously, Chen Zhibin was worried that Old Hu was being deceived.

After all, there were no standards for picking a grave. If Han Jingyang just picked a random location and claimed it was an excellent burial spot, wouldn’t Old Hu be at a loss?

Old Hu, however, said, ”I know what I’m doing.”

Then he said to Han Jingyang, ”It’s settled then. The items are yours. When are we going up the mountain?”

Han Jingyang thought for a moment. ”The day after tomorrow. I need to perform Consecration on them first.”

”Good,” Old Hu agreed without hesitation. ”Leave your phone number, and we’ll meet in three days.”

Leaving Old Hu’s house, Han Jingyang still couldn’t quite believe what had just happened.

With just a few words, he had gotten his hands on a bunch of good items?

If all sellers were this generous and straightforward, this business would be too easy to do.

On the way back, Sun Fuchang and Chen Zhibin didn’t stop talking, constantly asking Han Jingyang about Feng Shui-related matters, and even tentatively asked, ”Mr. Han, what exactly is this Consecration? Can we take a look?”

Han Jingyang refused decisively. ”No. Consecrating dharma instruments is an absolute secret of our sect. I swore an oath before the founding master when I became an apprentice.”

”Who is your master?”

”My master specifically instructed me not to reveal his information.”

”A reclusive expert.”

Hearing this, Han Jingyang smiled and said, ”He is indeed an expert, but as for being a recluse...”

Sun Fuchang keenly caught onto this. ”Meaning...”

”I didn’t say anything.”

”Could it be that your master is a person of the marketplace?”

”Cannot say, cannot say.”

The more Han Jingyang said this, the more curious Sun Fuchang and Chen Zhibin became. They didn’t doubt whether this ”expert” really existed at all, and were directly led astray by Han Jingyang’s rhetoric.

Of course, it was also due to conventional thinking; for a young metaphysical expert, it must be reasonable to have an even more powerful master.

Although Han Jingyang hadn’t really said anything, Sun Fuchang and Chen Zhibin had already imagined the image of a low-key expert in the marketplace.

Yingxiong Mountain. Jiguang Zhai.

Seeing Han Jingyang carrying a large box, Liu Jing quickly opened the door and hurried to place a piece of cardboard on the coffee table. ”Boss, where did you find these treasures? What are they like? Are they valuable? Are they Feng Shui props?”

Han Jingyang, however, saw the empty display counter at a glance. ”What’s going on?”

”Oh, you had just gone out when Zhou Yucheng, the boss of Jingpin Tianxia, came over and bought all the Feng Shui props in one go without even bargaining. Boss, does he know something?”

Han Jingyang felt helpless.

He didn’t like Zhou Yucheng, but he couldn’t stop him from entering the store to buy things, and he certainly couldn’t ask him for a refund.

It’s just that, not only did he clear the counter in one go, he didn’t even bargain. The old guy is really rich.

Forget it, I’ll give him some face in the future.

Such a ”wealth-bringing boy” is rare to come by.

Thinking this, he nodded. ”How much did you sell it for in total?”

”One million six hundred and eighty thousand.”

”Not bad. We’ll have a seafood feast for lunch.”

”Long live the boss!”

”Go order the food,” Han Jingyang waved his hand, opened the box, and identified all the items inside.

”Name: Jiaqing Boxwood Carved Yang Gong compass.”

”Name: Jiaqing Bagua Pattern Bronze Mirror.”

”Grade: Level 6.”

”Attribute: Evil-Blocking +5.”

”Skill: Evil Cannot Overcome Righteousness.”

”Name: Jiaqing Bronze Pixiu.”

”Grade: Level 6.”

”Attribute: Wealth-Attracting +5.”

”Skill: Bringing Wealth and Treasure.”

Seeing the appraisal results, Han Jingyang was overjoyed.

They were all good things.

And it was a set.

Although he didn’t know what use attributes and skills like Evil-Warding, Evil-Blocking, or even House-Suppressing had, they were undoubtedly good things.

Especially that Bronze Pixiu; it was better than the root-carved three-legged golden toad displayed in the shop. The Wealth-Attracting attribute was +5, a full 2 points higher.

The skills were slightly different. One was ”Wealth Pouring In” and the other was ”Bringing Wealth and Treasure.” They looked similar, but the skill effects must be different.

It’s just that he didn’t know if he could place two wealth-attracting items in one shop.

Try it!

If they could stack, wouldn’t that be wonderful?

Han Jingyang picked up the Bronze Pixiu, which was emitting a blue light, and wandered around the shop.
