Chapter 2221: Thousand Vows Pavilion’s Problems

The Sacred Realm had changed after the battle between the Heaven Founder and the Murim Alliance, which was interfered with by the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

The Murim Alliance and the Heaven Founder suppressed the information about Tang Shaoyang, and didn’t want him to gain fame in the Sacred Realm. That was why the Thousand Vows Pavilion was more well-known than him, who became the target of both the Murim Alliance and the Heaven Founder.

After the words about the current head, the Nangong Family joined the Thousand Vows Pavilion. It caused an uproar and marked the start of the Murim Alliance’s downfall.

The four empires quickly took the chance to announce their separation from the Murim Alliance. They used the Dragon and Phoenix Tournament as an excuse, telling the world that the Murim Alliance could no longer be trusted.

The two remaining Great Families, Murong and Shangguan, also formed two family alliances. They announced the Sacred Alliance and parted ways with the Murim Alliance.

The Sacred Alliance was quite smart with their move, absorbing the remnant of the other five Great Families under their banner. Fueling their revenge against the one who destroyed their family. That was why the Sacred Alliance’s influence could not be ignored, as even the remnant of the Nangong Family joined the Sacred Alliance.

The Ice Palace and the Profound Palace were known to be destroyed by the Heaven Founder. Even though there were survivors from the Profound Palace, they no longer had the same influence. The Ice Palace also disappeared from public view and was considered to have perished.

There were only the Great Sects in the Murim Alliance, only six after Wudang was destroyed by the Heaven Founder. However, the Murim Alliance Leader declared the Murim Alliance was dissolved.

He took the Sky Hall and the Heavenly Fortress under his wings since they were originally his people and established the Sky Palace. He, along with his two friends, Fire God Mo Huoyan and Fist God Lin Auguo, became the Supreme Leader of the Sky Palace. They took the previous Murim Alliance’s main base and built the Sky Palace.

The remaining six Great Sects, Emei, Kunlun, Shaolin, Mount Hua, Qingcheng, and Beggar, formed a new alliance, the Heavenly Alliance. With the loss of Wudang, they added three more sects to found the Heavenly Alliance: Verdant Spirit Valley, Azure Cloud Sect, and Thunderclap Temple.

The three sects were closest in power to the Great Sect. The previous seven great sects turned into nine great sects. Learning from their mistake in appointing the leader of an alliance, this time they chose the council system. All nine Sect Leaders would be part of the council members.

Without a doubt, the Heavenly Alliance had more influence than the others. The smaller sects chose to be under the Heavenly Alliance; most of them were.

Almost at the same time, the Heaven Founder also came into the world, revealing themselves to the Sacred Realm. They declared themselves as New Heaven. Mo Tianshen used the previous Heaven Founder’s force and set up a proper faction, failing to take over the Murim Alliance.

Realizing it was impossible to rule the Sacred Realm because of the Thousand Vows Pavilion. Mo Tianshen used this chance to form his own faction.

Even though they had their infamy after the attack against the Murim Alliance, which destroyed many cities. Many smaller sects chose to be under the New Heaven. Most of them were the sects that were dissatisfied with the Murim Alliance.

A single event that split the Sacred Realm as it ushered in a new era. What did a new era imply? A chaos. Without a governing body like the Murim Alliance, chaos ensued. The smaller sects were fighting each other, whether they wanted to expand or steal the other sect’s technique. The fire of battle quickly spread outside the territory of the influential alliance.

The medium sect grew larger by absorbing the smaller forcefully. They didn’t need to fear the Murim Alliance anymore since it was no more. These sects acted like a beast free from the shackles.

Among the influential alliances, the Thousand Vows Pavilion had the weakest influence. Not many knew the history of the Thousand Vows Pavilion. Because of that, the medium sects started to direct their eyes to the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

Xiyue Province was under the Thousand Vows Pavilion because the three families who ruled the province joined the Thousand Vows Pavilion. They still had their people managing the territory, but they were under pressure from all directions.

To the south was ruled by one faction called the Steel Mountain Fortress. It was originally a medium sect called Stealheart Hall. With the Murim Alliance disbanded, they deployed their force to absorb the surrounding smaller sects and changed their name to Steel Mountain Fortress.

They acted like bandits, acting unruly. While their strength was not much, they often did an unexpected attack to raid villages in their territory. Ice Pavilion was taking charge in that area, regularly sending their people to the post in that area.

To the north of Xiyue Province was the Sky Palace’s territory. While they were not outright hostile, some of the sects under the Sky Palace would raid cities close to the border. They didn’t plunder everything, just the market and auction house in the city.

Since it was generally weaker, Yang Bo stationed a group of fifty from his clan to the north. It was manageable as he managed to stop most of the raids.

Then they bordered the Eternal River Empire to the west. The Eternal River Empire was outright hostile toward the Thousand Vows Pavilion. Fights broke out more often as the Eternal River Empire tried to invade.

It was fortunate that they didn’t do a large-scale invasion because they were bordered by two other empires. The Bai Pavilion, Blazing Pavilion, and Wind Blade Pavilion put their main force on the west border because of the Eternal River Empire.

To the east was the Five Summit Order. A new faction was formed by five medium factions in the area, creating a major force that quickly absorbed the surrounding smaller sects.

The Five Summon Order was quite neutral compared to the three borders. In fact, they closed the border to make sure no one could cross into Xiyue Province. They wanted to stop the flow of people toward the Thousand Vow Pavilion.

No one had breached into the Thousand Vows Pavilion, but the issue was about the two pavilions. The True Sword Pavilion, formerly known as Sword Manor, and the Origin Sword Pavilion, formerly known as the Nangong Family. The two pavilions didn’t do anything when their border was under attack, not even sending their people to protect the border, even when Yang Bo requested them.

The solution to the current issue was simple. Each pavilion just needed to send two or three early-stage True God Realm Cultivators. That would be enough deterrence. They could rotate it regularly, every month or every three months.

The True Sword Pavilion and the Origin Sword Pavilion didn’t lack the early-stage True God Realm. They had more than enough, but those two pavilions were busy competing among themselves. They were obsessed with the sword and didn’t want to be left behind by their rival.

Yang Bo was almost in tears, revealing his grievance that he had gone to Tang Shaoyang. He had barely spent his time training while managing the Thousand Vows Pavilion.

“I see…” Tang Shaoyang gave them the freedom to manage the Thousand Vows Pavilion because he wanted them to grow naturally without his intervention.

However, the two pavilions didn’t even bother to hide that they were here for the technique, not even doing the minimum as part of the Thousand Vows Pavilion. He could just ignore it if they chose it that way, but he regarded the Thousand Vows Pavilion as an important force under the Tang Empire. He needed the Thousand Vows Pavilion to grow stronger.

“It’s about time for the pavilion to pick a new technique. Since the True Sword Pavilion and the Origin Sword Pavilion failed to perform their duty as a pavilion, they don’t get to pick a new technique!”

Yang Bo’s eyes shone when he heard, then they turned into a smug grin. The people who had ignored his request would finally pay the consequence. He was happy inside, not knowing what kind of chaos awaited the following day.
