Chapter 2205: Bao Xue

Wang Jun startled as the powerful aura and energy pressed him. Just the pressure alone made his hands shake slightly, but he would not back down. If he backed down now, he would suffer the same humiliation again. This time, he would put up a fight and kill the Executive Administrator.

He changed his mind, not just wanting to defeat the new Executive Administrator but also to kill them. That was the only way for him to meet the person who was humiliated.

He was determined to put his life on the line just for the chance. However, his body froze when his opponent’s figure blurred and appeared before him.

The new Executive Administrator was in his sword range, but he froze because of the pressure emitted from the sword. It was totally different when it was this close.

The sword was pulled up, and the image of his body split in two appeared in his mind. He quickly realized he was standing right in front of the death door. The history repeated, and he was overwhelmed by just their energy.

The sword was pulled as the brilliance of the combined lights of white, golden, dark-red, and azure burst out from the sword. His body totally froze, and there was only one thing on his mind right now.

Death!

That was what he thought until a figure appeared before him. He was pushed back by one hand, pushing him away from the attack, and Tian Zhong held the sword downward and blocked the incoming sword.

The two powerful energies collided, which caused a blinding energy explosion. The roar of the Heavenly White Tiger and the Heavenly Azure Dragon resounded in the air as a violent shock wave pulsed from the center of the clash.

The trees were pulled off the ground with the roots, and the big boulders were smashed into pieces. Everything on the ground was blown away by the impact.

The Sword Manor Elder gathered in front of Wang Jun and used a talisman to temporarily set the defensive barrier. Their preemptive action saved them from embarrassment.

If they didn’t properly set up the defensive barrier, they would be blown away by the impact. It would be embarrassing for a True God Realm to be blown by the impact of the fight.

Wang Jun was on his knees, hiding behind the other Elders. His eyes went wide as he witnessed a single class between an Executive Administrator and the Executive Administrator.

A question popped into his head: could he block that sword just now? He knew the answer right away; he could not. He froze, wondering how he was supposed to block. But if it were a different occasion and with more preparation, he would be able to dodge it.

A realization hit Wang Jun as he smiled bitterly, ’I kept making excuses for my losses...’

Even if he dodged that one simple attack, what about the next attack? He might be defeated or killed in the next attack. He would make the same excuse again, and the cycle continued.

The energy subsided and revealed that the two figures stood at the center of the clash.

Tang Shaoyang sheathed his sword and clicked his tongue, ”As I thought, this technique is not meant to kill in one strike.” He muttered to himself as the Heavenly Revoke failed to decapitate his opponent.

”You are being harsh on yourself, Executive Administrator Tang. If I don’t interfere, Wang Jun will die by your sword.”

Tian Zhong responded, his voice a little bit shaky. He blocked the sword, but, getting pushed back, his feet dragged backward for two meters. On top of that, he suffered internal injury because he hastily blocked the sword.

”That’s what even makes me even more upset. It would be more fun to fight you than someone who froze in front of the opponent he challenged. But now you are injured because of trash with a big mouth. Bring your people away and leave me alone!”

Wang Jun’s face turned red, a mixture of embarrassment and anger, but there was nothing he could say in return after a pathetic display. The truth hit him harder, and he was ashamed. The history repeated, exactly the same. Patriarch saved his life once more.

”Thank you for showing mercy to us. We will...” Tian Zhong’s voice trailed off as he coughed up blood. He tried to hold and stabilize the injury, but he was at his limit.

He fell on his knees as he coughed two more times. The Elders rushed toward Tian Zhong, including Wang Jun. They quickly gave a pill to Tian Zhong to stabilize the internal energy, and that was when they saw a horizontal cut on Tian Zhong’s chest.

Tian Zhong got back on his feet with the help of the Elders. By the time he got up, Tang Shaoyang was walking away from them.

He honestly didn’t expect to get injured from that one attack. He thought he could block the sword without issue, but he was wrong. His hands were still shaking from the impact.

He looked at his right hand, which was still shaking, holding the broken sword. The sword was cut in half to block that strike.

’The Executive Administrator is truly a monster. Even their newest member is this strong...’

People called the Executive Administrator a monster behind their backs. Even the big alliances and factions threaded carefully around the Executive Administrators. They called them monsters in the back, but everyone treated them with respect when they were in front of them.

He could stop Wang Jun, but curiosity got the better of him. The informant told him that Tang Shaoyang was the new Executive Administrator. The information didn’t have the exact time, but it was less than three years. That was why he thought of testing the new Executive Administrator and didn’t try harder to stop Wang Jun.

Thanks to that, he suffered from internal energy. He forcefully drew more internal energy from his dantian just to hold that strike. The sudden outburst of energy from his dantian put a strain on his body, and he still failed to completely block the sword.

”Inform everyone not to investigate the Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang anymore. But still send people to find information about what he did in the Sacred Realm and continue Xiyun Province’s investigation.”

Tang Shaoyang returned to the hole where he summoned Shizi. He didn’t get to watch the fight between Shizi and Karan, but it was quite short. That meant Shizi was not a pinnacle-rank Archaic Spirit.

He came to establish the contract, and instead of serving him for ten thousand years. He cut it short to five hundred years. It was lower than he originally offered, as he never intended to make them serve him for a thousand years. He put that up there so he could negotiate with them until they proposed something else.

He opened the window status to actually check the Desolate Heavenly Beast. As he guessed, Shizi was a high-ranking Archaic Spirit, which was already pretty good. He didn’t need to use Spirit Advancement on him.

”So do you know where other Desolate Heavenly Beasts used to live, Shizi?”

During the contract establishment, the three-headed lion was confused as to why their serving was lowered by more than ninety percent. But he told them to agree because he needed something else from them. This was what he needed from them: the location of the other Desolate Heavenly Beast’s nest.

He still had enough materials for two more summonings if his calculation was correct about the high-rank Archaic Spirit. He wanted to do Spirit Summoning in the location where the Heavenly Beast used to live, hoping to summon another Heavenly Beast.

[Do you want the location for the Heavenly Beast that is still alive, or the one who is dead like us?] The middle head asked.

[Let’s go to the one who is still alive. I want to fight them! The right head was quickly joined in, while the left head hastily told the right head not to fight. They were one entity, but they had three different minds.

”Is there a Heavenly Beast that is still alive?” That piqued Tang Shaoyang’s interest. He didn’t know much about taming ability. There was one best method if he wanted someone to follow him. He just needed to beat them.

[You are right... They might be dead already... But wait, there’s actually one that might still be alive. That defective Phoenix might still be alive. That one might be defective, but she is still a Phoenix, after all.]

”Let’s visit the dead one first. Then we will check the Phoenix after.”

The three-headed lion fully cooperated with him. That was the effect of the contract, after all. He followed the direction given by the three-headed lion, and it seemed the three-headed lion was dead for a long time because they got lost a few times. It took them five hours to reach their destination, the north, where the Ice Palace was.

He was led to a snowy mountain where a Desolate Heavenly Beast used to live. Apparently, it was Shizi’s friend who used to live in this place.

Tang Shaoyang tried to find the trace of the Desolate Heavenly Beast at first. He searched the snowy mountain, but it was futile. Failing to find anything, he proceeded with the Spirit Summoning.

He proceeded with the summoning as soon as he placed the materials. The summoning was quite underwhelming compared to when he summoned Shizi, just a fierce snowstorm. As the snow covered the vision, he saw a silhouette behind the snow, a four-legged figure with three tails.

[You have summoned an Archaic Spirit, Bao Xue the Desolate Heavenly Beast!]
