Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 349: Chapter 349: The Younger Generation Will Surpass Us in Time

Thus, for the second medical competition, the Southern Faction still sent Lin Dong to participate.

Before it began, the practitioners of Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine repeatedly advised.

”Chief Lin, think thrice.”

”You are our leader in the Southern Faction. If you lose, you will become just an ordinary member in the Northern Faction. So, it’s better not to compete and continue to be our leader in the Southern Faction.”

”...”

However, as soon as these words were spoken, Elder Wang laughed and said, ”Your words are not correct. If Lin Dong truly joins our Northern Faction, he will be designated as the next leader of the Northern Sector!”

”This...” The old TCM doctors of the Southern Faction couldn’t help but glare and bristle at Elder Wang at this moment.

”Old Wang, isn’t that a bit underhanded, poaching from our Southern Faction like this?”

”How can you do such a thing? He is the leader of our Southern Faction. Even our leader you plot to take?”

Elder Wang laughed and said, ”I’m not undermining your side; this is our bet.”

Everyone looked at Lin Dong again, but he waved his hand and said, ”Have a little more confidence in me, I will win!”

The Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners all sighed repeatedly.

Although Lin Dong is highly talented in the medicinal field, their opponent was Elder Wang Taisui. They had almost no hope for Lin Dong to win against him.

Elder Wang stroked his beard with a smile, looking at Lin Dong with great anticipation.

In the crowd, Qiao Xue said to Qiao Bing, ”If he loses and gets poached by the Northern Faction, then I win our bet, right?”

Qiao Bing was taken aback, unsure of what to say.

Qiao Xue shook her head and continued:

”Does Lin Dong truly believe that just by defeating Gu Lingjun, he can now dominate the world with his Medical Arts and disregard everyone?”

”The person standing in front of him is the top Chinese medicine practitioner in Dragon Country. How can a junior like him compare? Even if given sixty more years, he might not achieve what Elder Wang has.”

Suddenly Qiao Bing said, ”I believe in him.”

”What?” Qiao Xue thought she must have heard wrong. At this critical moment, Qiao Bing still believed in Lin Dong.

Their opponent this time was Elder Wang Taisui, the leading figure of Dragon Country Chinese Medicine.

He was not someone the likes of Wang Xiuxin or Gu Lingjun could compare to.

”Little Bing, I don’t understand. Why do you blindly trust him so much?” Qiao Xue couldn’t comprehend.

Qiao Bing looked at her intently and said firmly:

”Sis, it’s not blind faith. It’s the trust between a man and a woman because he has never let me down before. Hence, no matter what he says or what he wants to do, I choose to trust him...”

Upon hearing this, Qiao Xue was taken aback.

She realized she had never given Lin Dong such trust.

At this moment, the referee announced the official start of the medical competition.

”The second Medical Competition between the Southern and Northern Factions, the Southern Faction presents Leader Lin Dong, and the Northern Faction presents Leader of the Northern Sector Elder Wang Taisui!”

”The competition will consist of three parts: diagnosis, prescription, and acupuncture!”

”Let’s begin now...”

As soon as the referee’s words were uttered, everyone turned their attention to the high platform.

There stood Lin Dong and Elder Wang Taisui.

The diagnostic competition, like before, was the same.

But this time it was even more complicated.

This time, they randomly selected ten patients for Elder Wang and Lin Dong to diagnose separately.

The method was the same as before; they had to write their diagnoses on slips of paper and submit them.

Moreover, the total time for the process was still not to exceed ten minutes.

Just now, three patients had to be diagnosed within ten minutes. This time, ten patients still had to be diagnosed in the same amount of time.

You can imagine how much more difficult it was!

Soon, ten patients stood before Lin Dong and Elder Wang Taisui.

Then the two of them started diagnosing them, both merely using the ’inspection’ component from the ’four diagnoses’ of Traditional Chinese Medicine to carry out their analyses.

After the diagnosis, they swiftly began writing on the slips of paper!

It took Lin Dong six minutes to finish everything.

Elder Wang Taisui also took six minutes to complete everything.

Subsequently, the two almost simultaneously submitted their diagnostic results.

The referee directly read out the diagnoses loud and clear from both competitors.

When the results were announced, everyone gasped in surprise.

”My goodness, the diagnoses from both individuals are exactly the same!!”

”As a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with decades of experience, I cannot diagnose and write down ten patients’ results within six minutes. Only a true master of Traditional Chinese Medicine can achieve such a feat. It’s reasonable and fair for Elder Wang to do so. Yet for Lin Dong to also manage it, it’s truly unexpected.”

”He already has the standard of a master in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The younger generation is indeed to be feared!”

”...”

Countless people marveled, looking at Lin Dong with growing admiration.

The practitioners from Southern Faction Traditional Chinese Medicine, on the other hand, had completely changed from before, all of them wearing distressed expressions.

”Sigh, the better the talent, the more painful it is to see him poached by the Northern Faction after losing!”

This was the reason behind their gloomy faces.

”Not bad! I couldn’t reach this level at your age. Your talent in the field of medicine is higher than mine was!” Elder Wang cheerfully said.

At those words, naturally a stir arose once more.

At that moment, everyone profoundly realized just how monstrous Lin Dong’s medical talent truly was.
