Chapter 317: Chapter 317: Lin Dong’s Father

”Young Master, please don’t blame your father for leaving you and your mother; he had no choice.”

”Your father is the greatest father in the world...”

”His name is Lin Zhantian, originally the Second Young Master of the Lin Family from the Capital City!”

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong was stunned and quickly asked, ”Which Lin Family from the Capital City are you talking about?”

”Which other Lin family could it be? Of course, it’s the number one wealthy Lin Family from the Capital City!” Long Ying replied.

”What?” After learning this, Lin Dong was completely dumbfounded.

Myself, a member of the Lin Family from the Capital City?

Wouldn’t that make Lin Tiance my cousin?

Long Ying continued:

”Not only was your father the Second Young Master of the Lin Family from the Capital City, but also, due to his outstanding martial arts talent, he was known along with King Kunlun as the unmatched pair of the Dragon Country when he was young!”

King Kunlun, Lin Dong knew, was Lin Tiance’s master. Currently number one in the Dragon Country Dragon Rankings, he is also the only Earth Realm martial artist known to everyone now in Dragon Country.

”However, your father’s martial arts talent and potential actually surpassed that of King Kunlun. At the age of twenty-five, he entered the Dragon Rankings. Becoming the youngest expert ever on the Dragon Rankings!”

”Moreover, he also became the Dragon Lord of Longmen.”

”But the good times didn’t last, something happened afterward, something that changed the fates of your father and the young master, you.”

”Back then at the Lin family, your father’s brother, your uncle, had a son. That child was born under auspicious signs.”

”After birth, an old immortal master appeared and declared him the ’Chosen One’, predicting he would reach the legendary ’Heavenly Realm Martial Artist’. The Old Patriarch of the Lin Family, already favoring the main branch, treasured the grandson with such martial talent even more.”

”This laid the groundwork for the fate that would later befall your father and you, the young master.”

At this point, he let out a deep sigh.

Lin Dong’s heart clenched a little.

He had previously guessed that he might be the son of the previous Dragon Lord of Longmen.

This indeed was as he had thought!

But he never imagined that his father, besides being the Dragon Lord of Longmen, was also a member of the Lin family, the Second Young Master from back then.

That Lin Tiance, number one on the Tiger Rankings and known as the ’Chosen Son’ of Dragon Country, was his own cousin.

”What happened next?” Lin Dong couldn’t help but continue to ask.

”Later, the one the world called the Chosen Son, your cousin, was born. He was named Tian Ce.”

”He was the darling of the entire Lin family, and your grandmother, the Old Patriarch of the Lin Family, hoped that your father would take Lin Tiance as his personal disciple and impart all his knowledge to him. Moreover, she wanted your father to pass on the position of the Dragon Lord of Longmen to him as well...”

”However, your father refused because your mother was also expecting you, and you were about to be born. He wished to leave everything to you.”

”Then, six months later, you were also born.”

”But as soon as you were born, that old immortal master came out again and said you were a body of calamity. Your existence would bring misfortune to the Lin family, to the people around you!”

”Moreover, your bone marrow could heal and alleviate Lin Tiance’s strange sickness, so the Old Patriarch demanded that your father give your bone marrow to Lin Tiance!”

”Where would your father agree...”

”What your father never expected was how biased his own mother, your grandmother, the Old Patriarch, could be. She actually took advantage of your father fighting for the first position in the Dragon Rankings, secretly took you to the hospital, and forcibly swapped your bone marrow for Lin Tiance’s.”

”At that time, you were just six months old, almost completely drained of all your bone marrow for Lin Tiance.”

”When your father learned of this, he rushed to the hospital immediately, and if he had not arrived in time, the young master might not be in this world today. But even with your father’s prompt arrival, you were already hanging by a thread at the time.”

”At that time, all the bone marrow in your body was basically drained. You didn’t even have the strength to cry, your face pale as snow. Your old servant here can’t help but feel heartache and shed tears even now, recalling how the young master looked back then...”

At this, Long Ying’s eyes were brimming with red.

Lin Dong also gritted his teeth as if feeling the pain himself.

By now, Long Ying continued: ”You can imagine how furious your father was at that time!”

”He wanted to kill that Lin Tiance, but the Old Patriarch stepped in again, even saying that you were nothing but Lin Tiance’s ’medicine furnace’. So long as it could save Lin Tiance, heal his strange sickness, even if you died, she felt it was worth it.”

”In a fit of rage, your father severed ties with the Lin family. Taking you with him, he left the Lin family!”

”But even so, the Old Patriarch, for the sake of Lin Tiance, still harbored designs on you. She joined forces with your father’s lifelong adversary, King Kunlun, and people from Hades to snatch you away. Wanting you to continue being Lin Tiance’s medicine furnace.”

”And your father, he never imagined that a close aide he trusted completely would betray him. Poisoning him.”

”Your father was poisoned, attacked by various experts, but still, he protected you and your mother.”

”To protect you, he had no choice but to send you and your mother to a remote countryside.”

”As for himself, then he stormed into the headquarters of Hades, killed all five of its elders. Finally, he fought a great battle with King Kunlun and injured him!”

”But he too, was gravely injured and his whereabouts unknown...”

After hearing all that Long Ying recounted, Lin Dong no longer harbored any resentment towards his father for abandoning him at that moment.

This moment, tears welled up in his eyes.

”Father...”

He murmured, and in his mind, he couldn’t help but conjure up an image of a figure as imposing as a mountain.

Back then, he had no memories, he didn’t know what his father looked like.

But after hearing Long Ying’s story, it didn’t prevent him from feeling the weight of his father in his heart at this moment.

At the same time, a towering rage rose in his heart.

This towering rage was naturally directed at the Lin Family from the Capital City.

”Lin Family, is this how you treat me? I am also one of the Lin family, I am also your grandson, so why do you treat me like this??”

He gritted his teeth in excruciating pain.

He vowed that the day he entered the Capital City, he would surely drench the city in the blood of his foes!!!
