Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 323: Chapter 323: Tit for Tat, An Eye for An Eye

At that moment, on that patient, Lin Dong had inserted several needles.

That man, who had been lying on the ground and declared ”dead,” suddenly awoke with a groggy start.

Seeing this, both the Vice President and Qiao Bing were stunned!

”Doctor Lin Dong, what’s going on here?” the Vice President asked with utter confusion.

Qiao Bing was also clueless.

Lin Dong looked at the patient and said, ”Let him provide an explanation!”

After speaking, he scolded the patient, ”I advise you to come clean. Who sent you here?”

The man’s face turned ghostly pale, and he stumbled over his words.

”You still want to hide? You idiot, do you understand that if it weren’t for me, you would’ve died just now!” Lin Dong said coldly.

”You’ve been duped and you don’t even know it!”

The patient’s face was deathly pale, and he was unwilling to speak.

Lin Dong sneered, ”Won’t talk, eh? Fine, then just wait for death. The poison is still in your body, and if I don’t act, you won’t last a day!”

Upon hearing this, the patient immediately ’thumped’ to his knees.

In a trembling voice, he said, ”Divine Doctor, you really are a Divine Doctor. I beg you to save me, I was blinded by lard and committed this act!”

”Spill the whole story now. That way, I can save your life; otherwise, you are doomed,” Lin Dong said.

”Yes, yes, yes!”

The patient kept kowtowing.

Then he spilled everything.

His name was Zheng Zhihua, indeed a sick patient.

The day before, a man in a mask and hat found him and promised him one million if he took a pill and then went to Southern Capital Hospital to seek medical attention from Doctor Lin Dong.

He knew the man probably wanted him to create a disturbance at the hospital.

This kind of thing, he had seen it many times before.

He asked the man if the pill would have any side effects.

The man assured him there would be none at all. The pill, stimulated by the acupuncture Lin Dong would administer, would merely cause him to lose consciousness.

But who would have thought it wasn’t as the man had described!

The moment the acupuncture began, he experienced extreme pain all over, feeling as if he was about to die.

Thinking back now, it seemed the man truly wanted him dead.

To use his life to slander Doctor Lin Dong’s reputation.

”Doctor Lin Dong, you truly are a Divine Doctor. You saw through everything when you were examining me, didn’t you?” the patient confessed on his knees.

Lin Dong nodded, ”The pill he gave you was meant to kill you. Right now, its effects are still in your body. Without my help, you won’t survive until tomorrow.”

”Divine Doctor, I was wrong, I was so wrong. Please save me, I don’t want to die.”

The man became utterly frantic, kneeling on the ground and clutching at Lin Dong’s pant legs as he cried.

Upon hearing this, the Vice President and Qiao Bing also came to understand.

It was all a conspiracy.

A plot to tarnish Lin Dong’s reputation.

But who could be behind it?

In this moment, Lin Dong asked Zheng Zhihua, who was weeping at his feet:

”Did you get a good look at what he looked like?”

Zheng Zhihua shook his head, ”He was wearing a mask and a hat at the time, I couldn’t see his face at all.”

”But, I’m not stupid. I knew that for doing such a thing, I had to have some leverage over the other party.”

”So, I recorded it.”

”Oh? Where is the recording?” Lin Dong asked immediately.

Zheng Zhihua pulled out a phone from his pocket.

He had secretly recorded everything using his phone.

After he played the recording, both Lin Dong and Qiao Bing immediately recognized the voice.

”It’s that bastard Wang Xiuxin!”

Qiao Bing was furious, she could naturally recognize Wang Xiuxin’s voice.

Lin Dong’s expression also turned completely cold; this Wang Xiuxin was relentless with his sneaky methods.

Lin Dong speculated that Wang Xiuxin must lack confidence in the upcoming medical competition, hence he resorted to such means to smear Lin Dong’s reputation.

He wanted to make it so Lin Dong couldn’t even participate in the competition.

At this point, the Vice President also came to a realization and simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief.

It wasn’t a medical accident after all!

He then said, ”Doctor Lin Dong, I’m really sorry, I falsely accused you just now.”

”Now that everything has come to light, you should quickly get him to clear things up.”

But as soon as he said this, Lin Dong shook his head.

Seeing this, the Vice President was puzzled.

”Doctor Lin Dong, what do you mean? Why won’t you clarify this matter?”

Lin Dong laughingly said, ”Vice President, it’s not that I won’t clarify. It’s just not urgent!”

”I plan to let the bullet fly a bit longer! I’m preparing to wait until the day when our Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine competes with the Northern Faction’s Chinese Medicine doctor, to clear things up.”

”Wang Xiuxin wants to shatter my reputation, right? On that day, I will show him whose reputation will really be dragged through the mud!”

Hearing this, the Vice President and Qiao Bing understood Lin Dong’s plan.

Indeed, if they waited until that day, allowing this man to clarify things and showing the recording,

At that time, Wang Xiuxin and the Wang Family’s reputation would be thoroughly destroyed.

The Vice President couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration, a fine stroke of counterplotting, a tooth for a tooth!

”Vice President, I’ll have to take a few days off. If any rumors spread in the hospital in the meantime, please stand up for me,” said Lin Dong as he bowed his hands.

The Vice President nodded, ”No problem!”

And so, Lin Dong quietly took Zheng Zhihua away afterwards.

Zheng Zhihua was hidden away.

At the same time, he was promised by Lin Dong that if he followed Lin’s plan, he could survive.

Zheng Zhihua naturally couldn’t ask for anything more, willing to do anything to stay alive.

That same day, news erupted.

The headline of the news was:

”Curing to death, is he the leader of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine, or the executioner of the Southern Faction?”

The news recounted the whole process of Lin Dong ’treating’ a person to death in the hospital.

It included photos taken at the hospital.

They were exactly the ones those two people had secretly taken and spread around.

And once this news was released, it immediately shook the entire Chinese Medicine World.
