Chapter 343: Chapter 343: Lin Dong, I Lost to You Again

At the moment, everyone began to scold Wang Xiuxin.

”Wang Xiuxin, you’re really too hypocritical! How could you actually resort to such tactics to slander the Leader of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine and mislead us? Are you treating us like fools?”

”So the person who has lost face is you, Wang Xiuxin!”

”I really can’t understand it, Wang Xiuxin. With your strong medical skills, you could have won the Medical Competition outright and honorably, couldn’t you? Why stoop to such underhanded tricks?”

”...”

At this moment, everyone began to denounce Wang Xiuxin.

But the degree to which they denounced Wang Xiuxin was clearly not as intense as their previous treatment of Lin Dong.

Moreover, at this point, they believed that Wang Xiuxin’s medical arts were still superior to Lin Dong’s. They all expressed their lack of understanding as to why Wang Xiuxin, who could have won the Medical Competition fair and square, had to engage in such treachery.

Qiao Xue was also very surprised at the moment; she hadn’t expected such a reversal in the situation.

Qiao Bing then said, ”Sister, didn’t I tell you? Lin Dong would be alright. I won the bet, so remember not to obstruct us from being together anymore.”

Qiao Xue’s expression was complicated, ”Little Bing, the result of our bet hasn’t been determined yet. You previously said that Lin Dong has to secure his position as the Leader of the Southern Faction’s Traditional Chinese Medicine to count as your win.”

”Although Wang Xiuxin’s incident has occurred, it doesn’t mean Lin Dong’s medical skills have surpassed his. If Lin Dong loses the upcoming Medical Competition, his position as the Leader of the Southern Faction is still not safe.”

Hearing this, Qiao Bing realized that her sister wouldn’t concede until she saw the coffin.

It’s alright then; she would wait for Lin Dong to win the Medical Competition later and completely shut her up.

Just as Wang Xiuxin was being denounced by thousands, at the entrance to the Central Garden Square, another sensation arose.

Someone shouted, ”Elder Wang, Wang Taisui is here!”

At these words, everyone looked towards Wang Taisui.

With the incident involving Wang Xiuxin now out, everyone was curious about how Elder Wang would view and deal with it.

Elder Wang was still unaware of Wang Xiuxin’s affairs at the time, and a smile graced his face.

But upon arriving at the venue, he saw that everyone was looking at him oddly.

And Wang Xiuxin’s face was also deathly pale, not daring to look at him.

Realizing that something might have happened, he asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Everyone didn’t know how to tell Elder Wang, fearing he wouldn’t be able to handle the shock.

But Lin Dong didn’t care about those concerns; he went straight ahead and recounted what Wang Xiuxin had done.

After hearing Lin Dong’s account, the smile on Elder Wang’s face disappeared.

He turned his icy gaze towards his grandson and asked, ”Xiuxin, is what he says true?”

Wang Xiuxin bowed his head; he would have liked to deny it, but the evidence was incontrovertible, leaving no room for him to quibble.

Seeing this, Wang Taisui realized that things were indeed as described.

”Bastard!” It was rare for Wang Taisui to get angry, but this time, he truly was.

He had never expected his grandson to do something like this.

It went completely against the earnest teachings he had imparted to Wang Xiuxin; he had always taught him that a doctor should not only continuously learn medical arts but, more importantly, must possess a Doctor’s Benevolent Heart!

However, Wang Xiuxin’s act of bribing a patient to die in order to slander the Leader of the Southern Faction was a transgression that crossed the bottom line in his heart.

If it had been a minor error, Wang Taisui might have still pampered him.

But this time, the mistake was so grave that Wang Taisui couldn’t forgive him under any circumstances.

”You must be Doctor Lin Dong, the Leader of the Southern Faction’s Traditional Chinese Medicine, yes? For the harm Xiuxin has caused you and the reputation of the Southern Faction, I’d like to apologize to you here.”

Having said that, he actually deeply bowed to Lin Dong.

Seeing this scene, everyone fell silent, including Lin Dong.

Wang Taisui didn’t cover up for his grandson; upon learning of the matter, the Number one in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Leader of the Northern Faction, set aside his social status and bowed to apologize to a younger man like Lin Dong.

Lin Dong deeply respected him for this act.

But respecting Wang Taisui did not mean that he would forgive Wang Xiuxin.

Lin Dong spoke solemnly, ”Elder Wang, I think the person who should really apologize is not you. It’s Wang Xiuxin!”

”And besides, if apologies worked, what would we need policemen for?”

”When someone does something wrong, they should be punished.”

Wang Taisui narrowed his eyes and nodded heavily, ”Doctor Lin Dong, you’re right.”

After speaking, he looked at his grandson Wang Xiuxin with piercing eyes and hmphed:

”Kneel down! Apologize to Doctor Lin Dong and to that patient!”

”I...” Wang Xiuxin’s face went from pale to flushed, but under his grandfather’s piercing gaze, he had no choice but to kneel.

Moreover, on the cruise ship last time, he had knelt before Lin Dong once already.

Perhaps after the first time, an act that once seemed impossible became much easier to perform the second time around.

”I’m sorry!” Wang Xiuxin said to Lin Dong, his face ashen, pausing between every word.

Lin Dong responded indifferently, ”The one you should really apologize to is our Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine; give a kowtow to each and every one of us!”

Wang Xiuxin’s face grew uglier by the moment, knowing that Lin Dong was deliberately humiliating him.

If he were to kowtow and apologize to everyone from the Southern Faction now, from that day forward, he would no longer have any standing in the medical community of Dragon Country.

He would never be able to lift his head again.

His eyes pleading, he looked to his grandpa Wang Taisui, hoping he would speak on his behalf.

But all that greeted him was his grandpa’s extremely sharp glare.

”Kowtow!”

Wang Taisui uttered the word slowly.

Wang Xiuxin closed his eyes in despair.

”Lin Dong, I’ve lost to you again! After today, there will be no place for me, Wang Xiuxin, in Traditional Chinese Medicine of Dragon Country!”
