Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 337: 337

Elder Wang Taisui’s arrival in Southern Capital quickly spread throughout the entire city.

And in the afternoon following Elder Wang Taisui’s arrival in Southern Capital, Old Wang announced something.

That was to conduct a free consultation for the entire afternoon that very day.

This announcement naturally stirred up a lot of heated discussion.

”Old Wang really embodies the benevolent heart of a doctor, having a medical competition tomorrow, and he just arrived this morning, yet he’s setting up a free clinic this afternoon.”

”He truly doesn’t want to waste a single minute!”

”He has spent his life treating and saving people, truly exuding the dignity of a noble statesman.”

”Let’s go and see! Being able to watch Old Wang treat patients is a fortunate experience for three lifetimes.”

”...”

Countless people headed there to watch.

All the major TV news programs in Southern Capital also reported on the event.

That afternoon, at the site of Elder Wang Taisui’s free consultation, the entire street was packed with people.

Not to mention those who came to watch the spectacle, they were innumerable.

Wang Taisui’s grandson, Wang Xiuxin, also came, standing by Wang Taisui’s side as his assistant.

Next to Wang Taisui, Wang Xiuxin seemed very honest and conducted himself with great dignity.

He was someone skilled at acting, presenting a different image to everyone.

In front of his grandpa, Wang Taisui, he perfectly played the role of a sensible grandson.

Lin Dong found out about Elder Wang Taisui’s arrival in Southern Capital through watching the live broadcast about him on TV.

His free clinic that afternoon was being live-streamed by the Southern Capital’s Observation Network.

At that time, he was with Qiao Bing and the sisters Qiao Xue.

Watching the live broadcast, Qiao Xue couldn’t help but say to Lin Dong,

”Lin Dong, look at Old Wang and then at yourself. If you had even one ten-thousandth of Old Wang’s medical arts, you wouldn’t be killing your patients!”

”Of course, to compare you to Old Wang is somewhat insulting to him. You’re not even a match for one ten-thousandth of his grandson.”

Lin Dong didn’t want to talk to her, instead watching the live broadcast seriously.

He had heard of Elder Wang Taisui’s deeds and held great respect for Old Wang as a person.

But his grandson, Wang Xiuxin, with one face in public and another in private, was certainly not of good character.

Lin Dong feared that even Old Wang was being deceived by him.

”Old Wang, although I admire you, each matter must be addressed on its own terms. I can’t overlook the issue with your grandson Wang Xiuxin just out of respect for you! It has to be dealt with accordingly,” Lin Dong secretly said in his mind.

He certainly wouldn’t be merciful tomorrow.

At that moment on the TV live broadcast, after Old Wang had treated some patients and was taking a break, a reporter came up to interview him.

The reporter asked Old Wang, ”Old Wang, regarding the upcoming medical competition between the Southern and Northern factions, do you have anything to say in advance?”

Old Wang said with a kind smile, ”I hope to see all schools of traditional Chinese medicine flourishing and getting better and better.”

”Old Wang has such a broad mind. Then, may I ask if you’re aware of the recent affairs concerning the leader of the Southern Faction’s Traditional Chinese Medicine?”

”I’m somewhat familiar with it.”

”Then, Old Wang, what are your thoughts on the incident some days ago where the leader of the Southern Faction’s Traditional Chinese Medicine treated a patient to death?”

”As I do not know the details of this matter, I will not comment excessively.”

”It’s said that the Southern Faction’s Traditional Chinese Medicine is still sending this Leader Lin Dong to participate in the medical competition. What are your thoughts on this?”

”Before I meet him in person, I reserve my judgment.”

Old Wang did not give much attention to the reporter’s questions regarding his views on Lin Dong.

Afterward, he did not continue with interviews.

Instead, he proceeded to treat the patients.

Having seen Old Wang’s interview just now, Qiao Xue spoke to Lin Dong again,

”Lin Dong, are you still going to represent us in the medical competition tomorrow? Aren’t you just embarrassing yourself?”

”With your meager medical skills, who can you compare to?”

”What are the old seniors of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine thinking?”

Qiao Bing couldn’t stand by and spoke up for Lin Dong, ”Sister, Lin Dong’s medical skills are actually very impressive.”

”Impressive? So impressive that he kills people?” Qiao Xue said, rolling her eyes.

”There’s more to it than appears, you will understand tomorrow. Then, Lin Dong will surely surprise you,” asserted Qiao Bing.

Qiao Xue laughed derisively, ”Okay, then I will wait and see. Just don’t get yourself arrested tomorrow for that previous medical accident!”

Lin Dong didn’t want to interact with Qiao Xue, nor did he wish to spend more time with her.

So he got up and took his leave, ”Sister Bing, I’m going to rest now.”

”Okay, rest up early tonight. Tomorrow we’ll go to the medical competition together!” Qiao Bing said.

Lin Dong nodded, then left.

After he departed, he returned to the hotel to rest.

That night, Bai Zhonglou called him from over there.

”Dragon Lord, we asked Elder Wang Taisui about that piece of dragon’s saliva he has, and he said he won’t sell it!” Bai Zhonglou said with a sigh.

Lin Dong nodded, as this was expected.

It seemed that the only chance to get that piece of dragon’s saliva from Elder Wang Taisui’s hands was to see if there would be an opportunity during tomorrow’s medical competition.

At the moment, Lin Dong also harbored more anticipation for tomorrow’s medical competition.

Clearly, he was not the only one expecting a conflict.

Wang Xiuxin was also looking forward to it, ”Lin Dong, if you dare to show up in tomorrow’s medical competition, I will make sure you never have a chance to succeed in the field of medicine!”

Chen Tong was anticipating as well.

”Lin Dong, tomorrow’s medical competition will be the end of you!”

Qiao Xue was expectant, ”Lin Dong, perhaps tomorrow I can watch you being arrested. Then, I will definitely persuade Little Bing to leave you. I’ll never let my younger sister wait for a reformed laborer!”

Countless people in Southern Capital were also looking forward to this medical competition.

”Tomorrow, come quickly!”
