Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 545: Main World Situation and the Breakthrough of the Destiny Gazing Technique

Several days had passed.

The terrorist attack that occurred in the city where Tan Han resided had attracted worldwide attention.

This was the first time the ordinary people, who had been living in such peace for so long, had truly witnessed the terror brought by Transcendent beings.

Previous incidents seemed minor skirmishes compared to this one.

Not long after this explosion, all the Transcendent Academies expressed their attitudes, strongly condemning the perpetrators of this incident and successively sending out Transcendent beings for emergency aid and post-disaster reconstruction work.

But the impact of this incident was far from over.

Coupled with the current social instability, the rampant doomsday theory, and a wave of inexplicable public opinion guidance targeting Transcendent beings online, anti-Transcendent demonstrations appeared all over the world.

Even in a place like Modu, small-scale demonstrations to resist the Witch Academy broke out, but they eventually fizzled out because the protesters didn’t even know where the Witch Academy was, only that it was located in Modu.

As for why people in Modu would openly criticize the Witch Academy, it had to do with the attitude and statements of the various Transcendent Academies regarding this disaster.

Although the general content expressed by all the Transcendent Academies was similar, these were all statements made from their own standpoints.

Of course, the more important point was that a Holy Angel student residing in that city from the Holy Angel Academy made an appearance and spoke out.

He accepted an interview, revealed the truth of what he saw, and ultimately pointed the finger at a graduate student of the Witch Academy.

He further claimed that this disaster could have been avoided and that it occurred due to the willfulness of the Witch Academy.

It could be said that this report once again pushed the Witch Academy to the peak of controversial statements.

It was the most vicious attempt to smear the Witch Academy’s reputation.

Even the Witch Academy, which had always had a poor public image and was called an academy for ”little delinquents,” didn’t expect to be caught in the crossfire like this.

And they were especially disgusted by the Birdman from the Holy Angel Academy being so repulsive.

Although, to some extent, they didn’t wrongly criticize the Academy, as the ultimate perpetrators of all this, those Players, were brought in by one of the Witch Academy’s Academy Heads.

However, the students didn’t know the high-level thought process behind all this, and being unjustly scolded made them naturally very unhappy.

This network flame war lasted for a long time.

Or rather, it was currently at its peak, to the extent that the true culprits of all this, those Players, were still being called civilian Transcendent terrorists operating across the world.

Of course, this was also because the matter of the nuclear bomb had not been exposed; otherwise, the incident might have caused even more panic.

And just as the popularity of the Witch Academy was soaring, another incident suddenly pushed the world’s hostility to an even higher level!

A Transcendent Academy named the ”Abyssal Demon Academy” was suddenly exposed.

During this incident, they stole a large number of ordinary people’s corpses and flesh and blood.

The exposed videos and photos, judging from the filming, exhibited a level of gore that caused all ordinary people to feel extreme disgust towards them.

The Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academy was an academy that had just been established not long ago.

Of course, instead of being newly established, it was more accurate to say it was a recent merger.

The Imp Academy, Little Devil Academy, Succubus Academy, Fallen Academy, Undead Academy, and Necromancer Academy united to ultimately become a Transcendent Academy that claimed to be the fourth top-tier academy.

This academy had just become popular a while ago.

Perhaps the high-level Transcendent beings hadn’t yet adapted to the atmosphere of the Main World, leading to a very ”unsophisticated” founding announcement.

Coupled with their self-proclaimed title as the fourth top-tier Transcendent Academy, they were indeed ”memed” online.

The Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academy then became the ”Wild Chicken Academy Hodgepodge” in the mouths of ordinary people, even drawing mockery from Tiger-person Academy and Minotaur Academy saying, ”If our half-beastman academies united to become a true Beast Academy, we could be the fifth top-tier academy.”

Did they truly think they hadn’t attempted to unite into a ”Comprehensive Beast Academy” before?

They naturally tried, but ultimately failed.

However, these Beast Academies were all collectively referred to as ”Beast Academy” afterward, perhaps as a hopeful aspiration.

In any case, the current situation of the major Beast Academies also had relevant historical reasons.

The key to this was that all these academies were utterly disorganized, with no Transcendent Race strong enough to lead.

One must understand a point about the concept of Transcendent Races: having Transcendent powerhouses within a race does not mean it is a Transcendent Race.

And a united Beast Academy without a Transcendent Race leading it would ultimately not be recognized as a top-tier Transcendent Academy by the Main World.

As for these Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academies… although they were a joke now, they had already been tacitly recognized by the top-tier academies because the Abyssal Demon Transcendent Race was behind them.

It could be seen that if this ridicule continued until the end, the guys from the Beast Academy might become the joke.

However, before the Beast Academy became the joke, the Abyssal Demon Academy was now the academy scorned by everyone!

It had gathered nearly half of the despised Wild Chicken Academies into one entity, and it also inherited their bad reputation.

And now, the malicious act of stealing the bodies of the deceased had even occurred, causing this academy to transform from a laughingstock into an object of universal contempt.

And then, even more shocking news was revealed.

The Abyssal Demon Transcendent Academy had currently hijacked students from multiple schools.

The fact that they could forcibly abduct newly adult students who had not yet applied for enrollment during a non-recruitment period, even with such a large-scale operation, demonstrated their arrogance.

Cases of missing students had appeared in multiple schools around the globe, and these matters had been suppressed, only to be dug up now because of the major exposure.

It could be said that with the start of this holiday, the whole world suddenly received a lot of shocking news.

A single person might not experience as much in several lifetimes as they did during this one holiday.

And now, for some unknown reason, ever since the explosion that affected a city, those Players seemed to have suddenly become low-profile.

However… only a minority of people, or rather a minority of Witches, knew the general cause and effect.

The recklessness and greed of those Game Architects caused this adventurous attempt to fail, with the Players gaining no substantial benefit and ultimately resulting in the deaths of four vanguard explorer Players!

Coupled with the normal ”attrition” of Players scattered throughout the world, they had to curb their contemptuous attitude.

The Transcendent depth of this world seemed to be greater than any Small World they had ever encountered!

And as they stopped causing trouble and focused all their energy on acquiring intelligence about this world, they discovered more things that shocked them.

Firstly, a matter that was hotly debated on the external network earlier: the anomaly of the Spatial Rift above the Horasso Swamp.

One Player risked death to approach that rift and measured a piece of highly important information there.

That was, the other side of the Spatial Rift contained Game Qualification information data samples from the Star of Sin, which the Myriad Worlds Terminal had previously linked to!

However, this Player was besieged and killed by the defending Transcendent beings when attempting to enter that Spatial Rift to verify his hypothesis.

This made them extremely regretful, but they had to temporarily observe the situation.

According to their conjecture, the fact that they acquired the qualification to enter this world so quickly and invaded it might not have been a coincidence.

It could be because the Small World they abandoned not long ago was too close to this world, and now the two worlds were about to collide.

This conjecture made them ecstatic because they were still fixated on the fact that the abandoned world also seemed to possess a piece of Technology Core!

Of course, everything had to be taken slowly.

And while they were taking their time, they suddenly discovered another thing: the special individuals in this world who possessed Game Qualification were not just one!

They were regretful after losing track of the girl they had initially found.

After all, a large-scale deployment of Players into this world required a large amount of Game Qualification resources.

But this resource had to be plundered by them little by little.

Without a target, what the heck would they plunder?

But now, another piece of fantastic news told them that this world had more than one such special individual!

This greatly increased their margin for error.

They were desperately in need of Game Qualification!

…

Academy Head Mei Linde’s office.

I was standing here at the moment, surrounded by many Witches.

Usually, there wouldn’t be so many Witches gathered in Academy Head Mei’s office.

But today, they encountered a new problem.

I looked at the huge Destiny Observation Instrument in the center, which had been refined again.

A gradually tree-shaped silhouette was visible within the large crystal sphere.

It presented the underlying flow of Destiny in an extremely abstract manner.

Perhaps the superficial information looked a bit vague to the other Witches, but I could see it clearly.

I saw the undercurrent of Destiny surging within.

During the passage of this time, more than half of the holiday had passed.

Destiny was indeed calm, as expected, but it now looked as if a great conspiracy was brewing.

The Destiny foundation representing the Players was gradually weaving into a small net, slowly approaching the prey they had discovered.

This aligned perfectly with our prediction of the Players.

After discovering that the Main World had more than one Child of Destiny, they naturally immediately switched targets and gave up searching for Tan Han.

After all, Tan Han had chosen to stay at the Witch Academy to ensure her own safety after encountering such a serious incident.

Although she hadn’t been reunited with her family for many days, plans often changed.

Her family also hoped she would stay safely in the Academy.

That incident had truly frightened them.

Those Players urgently needed to target a Child of Destiny to acquire Destiny and use the power of Destiny to introduce more high-end Players.

In my estimation, even if they succeeded this time, the Players they deployed would still be of the high-end type.

Those low-level Players who couldn’t even grasp the truth would probably not come to the Main World in the short term.

Unless… they suddenly acquired a massive amount of Destiny, such that the number of high-end Players was insufficient, only then might they deploy ordinary Players for numerical harvesting.

But this possibility was low.

At this moment, looking at the information presented on the Destiny Gazing Technique instrument, I was already quite curious about which unfortunate soul had been targeted by those Players.

As of now, the convergence of Destiny shown did not represent the Child of Destiny on the side of the Witch Academy.

Suddenly, I seemed to detect a hint of fun in all this.

Perhaps I should indeed go out and cause some trouble.

I didn’t need to do too much, just enough to be a nuisance to those Players.

But it was clear that the gathering of Witches here today was not simply to observe the current Destiny situation in the Main World.

It was for a more important matter: the progress of the Small World merging into the Expansion Realm of the Main World.

I had a rough understanding of the world fusion matter now.

The fusion of that Small World with the Main World had encountered some problems, which was evident from the Spatial Rift that pierced the sky above the Horasso Swamp.

The problem was quite significant.

The reason the Spatial Rift was no longer expanding was because the Witches had halted the process.

Otherwise, if the predetermined plan were to continue, the Spatial Rift would have opened even wider, and there wouldn’t have been just the one above the Horasso Swamp.

And currently, the Witches responsible for the integration of this Small World into the Main World were basically all gathered here.

The reason… was naturally because of the breakthrough in the Destiny Gazing Technique.

It had given them a more convenient tool to observe the progress of the world fusion.

The essence of Destiny reflected the state of the world itself.

With the breakthrough in the Destiny Gazing Technique’s skill, its application had gradually shifted from merely observing the status of the Child of Destiny within the Script and assisting in their layout, to a more detailed observation of the world’s condition.

Based on the premise that ”Child of Destiny,” ”Script,” and ”Destiny” were all parts of the world, the application of the Destiny Gazing Technique could no longer be confined to being an auxiliary tool for observing the Child of Destiny and strategic layout.

It had a more important capability…

It could be used to observe the fusion of two worlds!

Relying on Destiny as the medium of observation to determine the actual situation occurring between the worlds was far more efficient than them relying solely on experience and common sense for prediction!

Before this suggestion was put forward, no one had imagined that the Destiny Gazing Technique could achieve such a feat.

Of course… as the initial innovator of the Destiny Gazing Technique, my status had also risen inexplicably.

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have been exposed to matters concerning world fusion, so I naturally wouldn’t have been qualified to propose such an idea.

However, after this idea was proposed, I participated in the modification project of the Destiny Gazing Technique throughout the entire process, serving as the technical and conceptual guide.

Naturally, I was more than willing to participate in such an event that would be recorded in history.

Of course, after participating in this project, I also felt the high efficiency of communication and interaction among project groups at the Academy Head’s level.

Compared to the projects researching the Great Tree of Knowledge in my villa, it felt somewhat like a children’s game.

But I wasn’t discouraged.

I would humbly learn.

Moreover, the Witch Sisters participating in the project were very accommodating to me.

They would even actively use the Great Tree of Knowledge as a medium for exchange to improve communication efficiency.

This was something they had learned from Academy Head Mei Linde.

And at this moment, Mei Linde, who seemed to have just finished the debugging, walked to the center.

Her movement immediately attracted the attention of all the Witches.

Only after most of the Witches’ gazes were fixed on her did she speak directly.

“Alright, now let’s begin our first phase review of the world fusion project using the Destiny Gazing Technique.”

“This is our first attempt to integrate a Small World into the Expansion Realm of the Main World. If we succeed, this achievement will be included in the Great Library! It will establish the first successful case for future generations attempting the same action!”

As Mei Linde finished speaking, the expressions on the faces of many Witches immediately became very spirited.

And I understood what the Great Library referred to.

It was the Great Library guarded by the Primal Witch, a library built upon the native world of the Witch Race, gathering everything about the Witch Race!

Any deed acknowledged by the Primal Witch Lord would be included in the Great Library.

This was an honor that no Transcendent Witch could ever refuse!

“Then, I won’t waste any more words. Let’s begin.”
