Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 536: Voluntarily Entering the Script

After obtaining the relevant research materials for the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell from Mei Linde, the purpose of my visit was basically accomplished.

As for the current refinement of the Destiny Gazing Technique, I wasn’t very concerned.

In fact, once Academy Head Mei showed a keen interest in it, I knew I didn’t need to put too much effort into it.

After all, this thing was merely the product of a sudden inspiration, without much subsequent development plan, and what the Academy Head valued was only the observation of Destiny flow that the Destiny Gazing Technique could achieve, relying on my Floating World-level Spirit Vision.

At this moment, perhaps out of a desire to keep Natalie waiting there a little longer, Academy Head Mei chatted with me about many other things, such as showing concern for what I was currently busy with and advising me not to overwork myself, given the significant intensity of my recent activities.

Of course, it might also be because I had now touched the core of Destiny and the Script.

The Academy Head also hoped I would go out and experience things, and do something significant.

After all, the current situation was something the Academy Head had already discussed with me.

Currently, the Children of Destiny were numerous and their Destiny was dispersed, meaning each Child of Destiny received little patronage from the World Consciousness, so the incidents seemed like minor skirmishes.

This was unfavorable for the observation and refinement of the Destiny Gazing Technique.

Fortunately, the Witch Academy had introduced those game world Players, which inadvertently contributed to this matter.

Those Players descended upon the Main World using [Transcendent Knowledge] as the core and Destiny as the Carrier.

Therefore, these Players could be considered a type of pseudo-Child of Destiny in a sense, because the Destiny they captured could not be taken away by ordinary means.

The Witch Academy hoped to use these lawless individuals to stir up chaos in the Main World.

As for the consequences of doing so?

The worst consequence would only be a reduction in the number of Children of Destiny in the Main World, leading to a more concentrated Destiny.

That’s right.

With the progression of the Script, this Script Node had reached the point where even Children of Destiny were not immune to death.

“By the way, Little Han, have you heard of the Horasso Swamp?”

“The Horasso Swamp?”

The name sounded familiar, but I quickly understood the situation.

“Oh, I know. I heard that a large spatial rift seems to have torn open there?”

“Yes. Do you know where that leads?”

“Uh… it should be related to the Small World that collided with ours, right?”

I guessed.

After all, I had learned earlier that only if the fusion between the Small World and the Main World went wrong would it affect the social stability of the Main World.

Academy Head Mei Linde had previously misled me by saying that this kind of spatial rift would open all over the world, causing great chaos.

“Yes. Little Han, are you curious about how that Small World will ultimately become a part of the Main World?”

“Uh, of course, I’m curious,” I immediately nodded.

Since the Academy Head said this to me, it meant she was about to impart new common knowledge to me.

“Little Han should still remember Ninglan New City, right? That miracle standing on ruins. Have you seen which corner of the Main World those ruins are located in?”

“No. So, Ninglan New City… is on another planet… that doesn’t seem right either…”

“It should be said that it is in another spatial layer. A complete world is composed of multiple overlapping spaces. If you want a similar analogy, it’s like the real Modu and the Witch Academy superimposed on it. It’s roughly that relationship, and the place we are in is the very core layer of the Main World, the Core Realm, which is the final pure land of the Main World.”

“Another overlapping spatial layer?”

Prompted by the Academy Head, I quickly reacted.

“Precisely because it’s in a superimposed state, spatial anomaly will lead to spatial collision, and then the two spaces will open a channel. So, the spatial rift above the Horasso Swamp is a natural passage to that world, right?”

I asked a string of my thoughts.

“Yes.”

Academy Head Mei nodded.

“Ninglan New City is also there?”

I asked again.

“Yes. That world is called the Expansion Realm outside the Core Realm, and outside the Expansion Realm is the Void Front Line Realm. You can probably understand it from the names, right? In this superimposition of spaces, the further out you go, the more you touch the boundary of the Void.”

“And the essence of these superimposed worlds is to protect the Core Realm from harm, and also to serve as a natural strategic depth against the invasion of the Void.”

“So that’s how it is.”

This was the first time I had heard this.

I had always naively believed that outside the world was the vast universe.

“Mmm, I won’t directly talk about some of the more superfluous information. I will organize it a bit and share it with you through the Tree of Knowledge later, to satisfy your curiosity. I can tell you’re not very good at chatting; you probably want to head back, right? I’ve kept you here talking for so long; it’s time to let you go.”

“That, it’s not that serious…”

“It’s fine. My office is a mess after all this, so next time you want to come, just come directly. There’s no need to notify me in advance, understand?”

“Mmm, mmm.”

I quickly nodded in agreement.

After being sent off by the Academy Head, I also slightly breathed a sigh of relief.

As I left, I saw Natalie stick to her again.

I have to say, that persistence was truly… amazing.

But thinking that she was doing it for me, I couldn’t say anything more.

Instead, I used the time on the way back to learn about the basic common knowledge of the world and the Void.

The common knowledge shared by the Academy Head was not extensive, but it was somewhat difficult to understand, especially for someone who didn’t have many related concepts in their mind.

The difficulty in understanding was even greater.

This information recorded the three basic layers of the world.

The Core Realm was the initial layer.

Worlds with only the Core Realm were generally called Small Worlds.

The Expansion Realm was a transitional stage, a layer of space that paved the way for the Void Front Line Realm, and it was one of the bases for a Small World to transition into a Medium World.

When the Void Front Line Realm was completely formed and connected with the Void, and when life of the Transcendent level was born in this world and was capable of entering the Void, only then was this world called a Large World.

As for the Void… it was not just the space environment as understood by common sense.

The Void was a layer where there was truly nothing, because all material bases were captured and cycled by the world, and would not diffuse into the Void.

So, the Void had almost no material particles, and even… almost no concept of material space!

This meant that anything relying on the observation of matter, including the material space itself, did not exist.

But the Void was still defined and existed, because outside the world was the Void, not a true void.

What was missing was only the material space, but not other forms of space.

So, assuming a normal non-Transcendent life form entered the Void, they would see nothing, because the ability to observe light based on material space did not apply to the Void.

Without material space, there was naturally no light.

Therefore, almost nothing could be perceived here, not just visually, but none of a creature’s senses could perceive anything.

Thus, the Void was a nothingness for non-Transcendent life forms.

Furthermore, the life level of non-Transcendent life forms could not withstand the dissipation of the Void, so their material bodies would also dissipate and be captured by a nearby world, returning to the world to restart the material and Soul-substance cycle.

The life level of Transcendent life forms allowed them to enter the Void without dying, which was one of the reasons why Transcendent life forms could leave the world.

To cope with the invisible and imperceptible Void, they needed to observe the Void from ”True Time.”

True Time was a concept that existed objectively, independent of material space, and the True Five Senses were not limited to perceiving within the material world.

Therefore, the world outside was the world of the Transcendent, and the bond between worlds was also the communication between Transcendent beings.

If a person advanced to the Transcendent level and observed the Void, they would find that the Void was actually not empty.

The boundless Void had no visible boundaries.

One could only see the Earth Vein River stretched across the Void, weaving into a brilliant picture like a star map, resembling a network of veins.

The extension of the Earth Vein allowed worlds to be spread throughout the Void, because worlds were the fruits produced by the Earth Vein for the Void.

Watching the Academy Head describe the beautiful scene of the Void filled me with yearning, and this further intensified my belief in achieving the Transcendent promotion!

After this wave of excitement passed, I suddenly realized a problem: as my understanding of the world and the Void deepened, the value of the Reverse Summoning Spell Spellbook I mastered seemed to exceed my imagination even more!

This seemed to have gone beyond material space teleportation and was actually a Void-level teleportation!

It seemed that the information I had learned was truly too little, and I needed to continue learning.

However, the things I wanted to learn were probably not recorded in the Witch Academy library unless I reached a higher platform.

So now, while I had the time, I should solidify my foundation.

I had been a little overconfident recently, constantly overdrawing my foundation to create achievements.

The matter of the Fool’s Dream Drink Meditation Method seemed to require patience for now.

I now had two things waiting for me to fully comprehend: first, the basic books in the Witch Academy library, and second, the research materials about the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell that I had requested from the Academy Head.

But staying put and learning slowly in an orderly manner was not my style.

This kind of learning and settling could easily take several months or even longer.

Looking back since I enrolled, how many times could my ”closed-door study” last that long?

I was clear about my own limitations.

The most important point was that the Academy Head once again told me I was too rushed.

Although she acknowledged my focus on Grand Spellbook research, even Transcendent Witches researching these things would allocate time for rest.

Perhaps I should listen to the Academy Head’s suggestion and choose a way of life that balances work and rest.

Witchification was a long process.

I needed to stay at the Witch Academy for a long time to become a true Witch.

However, when I thought of the matter the Academy Head recommended to me, I felt somewhat… inappropriate?

The Academy Head advised me to appropriately participate in the Script to stir up trouble, lay out a plan for those Players, and ultimately harvest them.

I could also use the Great Tree of Knowledge to record the scenes and show them, as Transcendent beings were not allowed to enter the field in this Script.

Just recently, those few Witches who went to collect data were accused by other Academies of publicly breaking the agreement, and it took a long time to explain and resolve the issue.

I don’t know why, but hearing the Academy Head mention this matter, I felt like I was the sole designated streamer on the Great Tree of Knowledge platform...

Directly transforming into a War Correspondent on the Script battlefield, recording various situations, occasionally stirring up trouble for fun, and then saying, ”Give me a follow, and tip the streamer some knowledge, thank you sisters…”

That scene alone was cringe-worthy, okay?

But it seemed that this might not be impossible?

I seemed to have forgotten how to have fun for a long time.

For various reasons, I felt like I was suppressing my own nature, using the suggestion of self-improvement to tell myself that everything I did had meaning, thus ignoring my feelings about my surroundings.

I recalled when I hadn’t yet come into contact with the Transcendent, I was so naive and full of yearning, even proactively seeking fun and helping misguided youths (girls) complete the enrollment process.

Now I had become stronger, but everything seemed to have become hollowed out by power, leading to me not being the person I once was.

I had no friends around me.

When I enrolled, I fantasized about starting a new life, but the new life still had no friends.

I viewed my fellow students and senior sisters with a condescending attitude, looking down on everything.

A sense of self-righteous disgust spontaneously arose.

One of the hardest things in life was realizing that the qualities you hated were appearing in yourself.

This led to me not getting along well with anyone.

Even that day at the Bakery Club, I said those words to those girls.

Although I still didn’t regret what I said even now, I was contemplating a more important matter.

“Going with the flow… perhaps the moment I developed a repulsive reaction to the Script was the moment it was destined that I would become the anomaly disliked by everyone within the Script.”

After I said this sentence, I also silently began to do one thing, which was to accept the trend of Destiny…

I admitted that I accepted the Academy Head’s suggestion, although the ultimate goal was to agree to the Academy Head to harvest that game world.

But there was no doubt that, right now, entering the Script and joining the game was the most convenient solution to make contact with those Players.

“Let me think…”

I took out my phone and briefly explained the situation in the group chat.

This group chat was created for the research projects related to the Great Tree of Knowledge.

Since I was temporarily setting aside the research on the Great Tree of Knowledge, I had to inform them first.

After all, apart from the project related to the Fool’s Dream Drink Meditation Method, most of the projects had already entered the right track, and they could contact me directly even if they encountered problems.

Of course, I said something entirely different to the two Witch Sisters in the Fool’s Dream Drink Meditation Method project: that I already had some ideas and was steadily moving forward in my own way.

The gist was to tell them not to rush.

They also showed great tolerance for me temporarily putting down the research, as it was a rare holiday period.

This was somewhat surprising to me, but then again, these Witches were not the kind of followers who held pathological expectations for me.

It was I who had overcomplicated things.

“Things are mostly settled now, and I have a lot of time. Hmm… let me see how Destiny will arrange for me after I enter the game?”

At this moment, I cleared my mind, allowing various thoughts to resonate in my head.

Ignoring the existence of those Destiny threads, I followed a part of the Destiny and quickly had a strange feeling of ”fluttering.”

“Oh… I remember now. The Shop Manager still owes me a gift. I should go see her. Since it’s a fated encounter, the Shop Manager should be at the Bakery Club right now. Hehe I wonder what interesting things will happen?”
