Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 520: Feasibility of the Seed of Great Knowledge for Fool’s Dreams

After leaving the Bakery Club, the time was approaching noon.

I did not regret the words I had spoken there.

If only they could be a little more rational, I wouldn’t have been so unresponsive.

Of course, the main reason was that I didn’t want to get into such trouble.

But these few girls at the Bakery Club were truly… persistent.

They joined a club that brought them almost no advancement, simply because I had once joined it.

I wonder if the Store Manager treated them poorly.

After sighing, I put their matter aside.

Although I had to admit that their behavior did stir some of my emotions, this unexpected encounter was destined to be a meeting with no outcome.

The previous ”delightful conversation” was merely a facade.

Just as I could use the Great Tree of Knowledge to understand their nature and weaknesses, and even their real-time emotional fluctuations, I found that I still didn’t understand girls, nor was I good at playing with them.

Perhaps this difference in mindset meant that I was simply not one of them.

Noon.

I arrived at the Main Cafeteria and ordered many dishes, because I realized that as my Five Senses Enhancement practice for Body Cultivation became more systematic, this sensation accompanied me at all times.

Just as Big Sis Bai said, every aspect of life was a form of cultivation; eating was no exception, as taste and smell were also senses used by the living body to perceive the outside world.

While eating, I also checked Teacher Ji Niang’s private messages.

I had planned to visit Teacher Ji Niang in the afternoon, as it had been a while, and bring her a Seed of Great Knowledge.

Since the Academy Head had said that even Transcendent Witches sometimes needed the auxiliary effect of the Seed of Great Knowledge, then Teacher Ji Niang might also need it.

However, it seemed Teacher Ji Niang wouldn’t reply.

I clicked on Teacher Ji Niang’s personal information message on the Academy Network, which displayed the remark: ”Busy during the holidays, please leave a message if you have something.”

As for what she was busy with, it was certainly her [Transcendent Knowledge].

The holidays were the best time period without disturbances.

Teacher Ji Niang was probably living there and treating it as her home for the entire holiday.

Furthermore, that place was isolated from the academy’s signal, so meeting her again would entirely depend on fate.

After leaving her a message via private chat, and finishing lunch, I went to Teacher Ji Niang’s office.

It was also empty, but I placed a box containing a Seed of Great Knowledge there, leaving it as a surprise for Teacher Ji Niang.

I didn’t know when she would discover it.

Having done all this, I didn’t linger.

I returned to the villa that the academy had prepared for me after I became a Teaching Assistant.

After all, the basement there had been converted into a laboratory by me, and there were three Fool’s Dreams studying relevant Transcendent knowledge there.

And incidentally, I had also asked those few Fool’s Dreams to help manage the villa.

I hadn’t been back to see it for a while.

When I teleported back to my villa, I saw a scene that greatly shocked me!

The once empty living room on the first floor was now surrounded by several Fool’s Dreams.

Slightly immature voices were systematically explaining something.

After listening carefully, I realized that it was knowledge related to Runology!

My appearance immediately broke the harmonious atmosphere.

“It’s Big Sis Xiao Han!”

As Fool’s Blue, who was in charge of the explanation at the front, suddenly spotted me, her eyes widened immediately, her expression showing incredulity yet also great surprise.

And just as the various Fool’s Dreams wondered why Fool’s Blue had stopped, her cry of ”Big Sis Xiao Han” immediately made all the Fool’s Dreams jump, and they quickly stood up and looked towards me.

I also put on a smile and walked toward them.

“Fool’s Blue, what are you all doing?”

I half-bent down, reached out and touched Fool’s Blue, who was the first to rush over, and asked in a friendly tone.

“Um… I’m sorry, Big Sis Xiao Han. I took them here without permission, even though this is Big Sis Xiao Han’s home…”

After her initial excitement, Fool’s Blue was the first to realize the current situation and quickly apologized.

Her apologetic words immediately made the Fool’s Dreams behind her worried as well.

“Alright, don’t rush to blame yourself and take the fault as soon as I arrive. This villa is just empty anyway. Of course, I won’t blame you. I also warmly welcome other Fool’s Dreams to come and play here, but tell me why they wanted to come?”

I quickly comforted her.

The spontaneous apology from the Fool’s Dreams ultimately stemmed from their lack of understanding of me, and their fear that their self-initiated actions might incur my displeasure.

After all, I was an important figure who could influence their entire group.

Because of this, they were slightly fearful of me and afraid of making me unhappy.

I suddenly realized that the relationship between the Fool’s Dreams and me was, in a way, somewhat similar to the relationship between the Academy Head and me… what a strange coincidence.

“Big Sis Xiao Han, I was the one who begged Big Sis Fool’s Blue.”

“That’s right, that’s right. If Big Sis Xiao Han still blames us, just punish us. I was the one who pleaded with Big Sis Fool’s Blue…”

“Right, Big Sis Fool’s Blue only agreed because she had no choice.”

Following my words, the other few Fool’s Dreams quickly and voluntarily spoke up to defend Fool’s Blue.

Even Fool’s Luck and Fool’s Fruit stepped forward to plead for Fool’s Blue’s actions.

“Alright, alright I’m not blaming you. If you want to come and play next time, just come directly. I was just a little surprised this time.”

I stood up and said.

As soon as they received my permission, the tension and worry they had just felt immediately vanished.

Indeed, the Fool’s Dreams were quite simple in this regard.

I picked up Fool’s Blue and sat her on the edge of the tea table, while I lay on the sofa cushion and asked curiously, “Fool’s Blue, you were just teaching them Runology, right? What made you think of teaching them this?”

“Mhm mhm, I didn’t initially intend to teach them this. They wanted me to go play with them, but I told them I needed to study hard, as you said, Big Sis Xiao Han, so I could help you. So I refused.”

“Then they asked me what I was doing. I told them I was studying, and that I needed to become very capable so I could help Big Sis Xiao Han! Then they voluntarily wanted to learn too. I couldn’t refuse them, so I asked for your blessing, Big Sis Xiao Han. Fool’s Luck, Fool’s Fruit, and I—the three of us asked together, and the Shadow of Knowledge’s response was that of course I could teach…”

“So that’s how it is. Since the Shadow of Knowledge also thinks it’s right, then you should resolutely follow through. How could I blame you? So you really didn’t need to apologize to me just now.”

I nodded and said with a smile.

I hadn’t paid attention to this matter before, and only after getting the information did I realize what was happening.

After comforting Fool’s Blue and the others, I started arranging accommodations for these Fool’s Dreams.

After all, it wasn’t a good idea for them to stay here all the time.

The villa had so many rooms; there would always be a place to settle them for their studies.

I came here this time mainly to connect with Fool’s Blue and the others.

Their learning progress was clearly recorded in the Leaf of Knowledge, but the Leaf of Knowledge had already been eliminated by me.

I was trying to figure out how to let the Fool’s Dreams use the Seed of Great Knowledge.

However, using the Seed of Great Knowledge on the Fool’s Dreams would face many problems: Were the Fool’s Dreams true life forms?

Could they open their own Sea of Consciousness?

Fool’s Dreams were not life forms and races acknowledged by the Void.

They lacked a power system mastered by their own race, and naturally lacked the ability to control Transcendent Energy.

So, how could they control energy to nurture the Seed of Great Knowledge?

These were all problems, but I was confident they would be slowly resolved.

When I attempted to promote the Seed of Great Knowledge to the Fool’s Dreams, even more problems rushed toward me.

The thing I understood the least about was the research related to ”life.”

However, the books I searched for in the Academy Library did not contain the information I was hoping to find.

So, I went back to look for information related to the Sea of Consciousness or the Sea of Spirit.

The Fool’s Dreams possessed their own Mental Power.

As long as they had Mental Power, it meant they could attempt to open a Sea of Consciousness.

Therefore, after searching for information with little success, I decided to just try it first.

I looked at the seeds that had been nurtured overnight.

After setting aside the one I sent to Teacher Ji Niang, a few were remaining.

Currently, my condensation speed was about one seed every half day, which was the normal efficiency without considering consumption.

However, multiple Seeds of Great Knowledge could be condensed simultaneously, as the condensation ability originated from the Great Tree of Knowledge itself.

This was an effect resulting from the development of [Transcendent Knowledge].

The Great Tree of Knowledge was treated as a ”plant life” body, and nurturing the seeds was an instinctive plant reproductive behavior.

Now, I was accelerating the condensation efficiency of the Seed of Great Knowledge, essentially modifying the Great Tree of Knowledge’s reproductive method.

After explaining the effect of the Seed of Knowledge to Fool’s Blue and the others, and the plan to replace the Leaf of Knowledge currently in their bodies, they gladly accepted my suggestion.

And after a preliminary attempt, I was unsurprisingly blocked by a situation I hadn’t anticipated.

Fool’s Dreams… I should have thought of it earlier.

The essence of a Fool’s Dream was a Dream State creature.

Their cute appearance was merely the vessel for their actions in reality.

Their Mental Power was still a product derived from Dream State consciousness, fundamentally different from normal people.

Therefore, the Sea of Consciousness opened by a Fool’s Dream… I would rather call it a Dream State Space, or a Sea of Dreams, or a Dream State Consciousness, any name would suffice.

Anyway, I hadn’t found any records of this in the Witch Academy’s Library, so everything had to be explored by me alone.

One problem encountered now was that the Sea of Dreams opened by the Fool’s Dreams was not a good place to nurture the Seed of Great Knowledge.

This was an objective fact that I could observe.

Even after working late into the night, and with Fool’s Blue’s cooperation, even after modifying the Seed of Great Knowledge and adding an ”endosperm” structure based on my simple biological cognition—

—which was actually created to accommodate cases like the Fool’s Dreams who had no Transcendent Energy to nourish the Seed of Great Knowledge.

The so-called ”endosperm” structure was essentially a spell structure that stored compressed, high-energy Magic Power, and there was no significant technical difficulty involved.

But precisely because of this, I concluded that the Sea of Dreams opened by the Fool’s Dreams was not suitable for the nurturing of the Seed of Great Knowledge.

The Seed of Great Knowledge quickly sprouted under the nourishment of high-energy Magic Power, but it could not take root and establish a connection with the host’s consciousness like it did in the Sea of Consciousness.

Even with an adequate supply of Magic Power, the seed continued to wither.

It was as if a seed separated from its soil was destined for death.

This was a good analogy: could a seed truly not survive without soil?

Perhaps people in the past thought so, but with the development of technology, soilless cultivation technology emerged.

However… the Main World didn’t seem to have developed and promoted this technology, but I had seen it in my previous life.

Although soilless cultivation offered no direct help for the predicament I was currently facing, my keen intuition still gleaned some Revelation from it.

However, this Revelation was very… vague, and required continuous deduction and inspiration at the conceptual level to obtain a truly effective solution.

“Um… Big Sis Xiao Han… are we very useless? We can’t help at all…”

At this moment, Fool’s Blue, Fool’s Luck, and Fool’s Fruit, seeing my thoughtful expression, approached me with low spirits and asked.

“This is not your fault. We just encountered a difficulty. We’ll overcome it. When you encounter difficulties, you shouldn’t be sad or frustrated, and you certainly shouldn’t doubt yourselves.”

I bent down and comforted them.

This was just a perfectly normal failure.

Although this level of failure was many times harder than the failures encountered during the research of the Seed of Great Knowledge, I firmly believed I was a genius, and I wouldn’t belittle myself.

“Ugh… mhm…”

The Fool’s Dreams nodded.

But their low spirits still didn’t subside.

It seemed this had genuinely hit them hard.

After all, the first thing I tried to do after returning after such a long time had immediately failed, which was naturally a huge blow to them.

Therefore… this time, I would definitely overcome this difficulty and bring these Fool’s Dreams a huge success!

Now, I needed to understand a principle: there must be many ways to solve a problem.

Solving the problem didn’t require me to use the optimal solution; rather, the inspiration I first touched upon was the solution that best fit my line of thinking.

I was currently pioneering into the unknown future, not racing ahead.

Speed and efficiency were not my primary considerations.

I should be considering using every means possible… to move forward!

So, I firmly believed in the concept that suddenly came to mind, ”soilless cultivation.”

It gave me a vague Revelation.

If the Sea of Consciousness was treated as the planting soil, and the Sea of Dreams was an empty air, then did the ”water” carrier required by soilless cultivation—something that allows the roots to spread, obtain nutrients, and is identical to the host’s consciousness—exist?

I pondered for a long time and came up with an answer: it did exist.

What was the first step the Fool’s Dreams took to break free from their Dream State creature essence and become life forms acknowledged by the Void?

Or rather… what was the first step I took for them?

Eliminating the Nightmares, which was equivalent to removing impurities.

And then?

I had used… the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell on them!

At this moment, my mind sank into my own Sea of Consciousness.

The massive Great Tree of Knowledge stood tall in the void of the Sea of Consciousness.

I looked at the reflection of the Tree of Wisdom’s Enlightenment beneath my feet, and my gaze fell into a trance once more.

“Tell me… what exactly is that Sea of Consciousness reflected beneath the Great Tree of Knowledge?”

I asked softly.

“Who knows? Maybe it’s the Sea of Dreams? Why not try it?”

The Shadow of Knowledge suddenly appeared in front of me, its tone carrying a hint of a smile.
