The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 592: Chapter 332: Setting a New Record for Criminal Investigation in Jiangcheng

”Mr. Ma, Mr. Li, I apologize for being late, there was a bit of traffic on the way.”

Mr. Ma looked up and laughed heartily, ”No worries, no worries.”

”Actually, we just arrived not long ago.”

As he spoke, he smoothed out a slight wrinkle on his sleeve.

”Haha, Mr. Ma, you’re so attentive to your appearance today?”

Mr. Li joked, the corners of his eyes crinkling with a smile.

Mr. Ma adjusted his tie and said seriously, ”Of course.”

”Today, we have the honor of receiving an award directly from Mr. Qi, so we must prepare our personal image well.”

”If we appear sloppy, wouldn’t that be an embarrassment to Jiangcheng’s police?”

”Alright, let’s go!” Mr. Ma waved his hand, and the four of them got into his black official car one after another.

With the roar of the engine, the vehicle slowly exited the courtyard of the police headquarters, speeding towards the provincial city.

At 9:40 in the morning, they arrived at the provincial public security department on time.

The award ceremony was scheduled to start at 10 o’clock.

After parking the car, the four of them tidied up their attire and marched in unison towards the conference room of the provincial department.

Pushing open the heavy solid wood door, they saw the conference room was arranged with solemn elegance.

A bright national flag and police emblem hung above the stage, with neatly arranged greenery on both sides while staff were making final adjustments.

At exactly 10 o’clock, accompanied by warm applause, Mr. Qi and the director of the political department walked into the venue side by side.

The nearly fifty-year-old department head had a tall and upright figure, with eyes full of spirit.

He immediately saw Mr. Ma standing upright and revealed a comforting smile on his face.

”Hello, Mr. Qi!”

Mr. Ma led the group in saluting.

”Sit, sit, sit, you’ve all worked hard.”

Mr. Qi gestured kindly with a warm and sonorous voice.

Mr. Ma solemnly responded, ”Mr. Qi, fighting crime and safeguarding peace is our inherent duty.”

Behind Mr. Qi were the heads of various departments at the provincial department, along with reporters from several mainstream media outlets and staff from the publicity office.

Once everyone was seated, the host announced the official start of the meeting.

”The main topic of today’s meeting is the award ceremony for Jiang An of the Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team, who is receiving a personal first-class merit award.”

The host’s voice echoed in the venue, ”Jiang An has always remembered the tenets of ’loyalty to the party, serving the people, fair law enforcement, and strict discipline’ since joining the criminal investigation team.”

”He has repeatedly achieved outstanding feats on the front lines of fighting crime and maintaining social stability.”

”In the face of complex and difficult cases, he always maintains a humble and cautious approach, neither becoming arrogant with momentary success nor giving up easily in the face of temporary difficulties.”

”Especially in the recent resolution of a series of cases, he led his team in peeling away the layers and ultimately solved multiple pending cases, fully demonstrating the professional skills and problem-solving capabilities of a new era detective. Therefore, after careful consideration, it has been decided to award Jiang An a personal first-class merit once.”

After the announcement, the venue erupted in enthusiastic applause.

The camera shutters clicked incessantly, capturing the scene.

In the expectant gaze of the crowd, Mr. Qi stepped to the center of the stage.

An assistant presented a delicate red brocade box containing the gleaming first-class merit medal and the embossed certificate.

Jiang An marched forward with a standard step, solemnly accepting this significant honor.

Mr. Qi shook Jiang An’s hand and said warmly, ”Young man, well done!”

”This medal is not only a recognition of your personal ability but also an acknowledgment of the entire Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team.”

”The path of serving as a police officer is long; I hope you will continue to strive and make greater contributions to safeguarding the public.”

”Yes, I guarantee to accomplish the task!”

Jiang An stood straight, saluting with a standard police salute, and Mr. Qi solemnly returned the salute.

At that moment, countless flashes captured this precious moment, recording this moment of glory for the Jiangcheng criminal investigators.

After the award ceremony, Mr. Qi made a point to stay and engage in a friendly exchange with them.

He sat on the front-row sofa in the conference room, gesturing for everyone to gather around.

”Honestly, Jiangcheng’s criminal investigation rankings have always been good throughout the province, but this time’s performance still came as a pleasant surprise.”

Mr. Qi glanced around, his eyes filled with praise.

”Solving one case and cracking three related ones, such efficiency and quality in case solving is rare in my over thirty years of police service.”

Mr. Ma, Mr. Li, and Jiang An listened attentively, nodding occasionally.

Mr. Qi continued, ”Your investigative thinking of digging deep and following leads is valuable as a reference.”

”Especially the analysis and use of clues demonstrate a high level of professional expertise.”

Then, he turned to Mr. Wang who was accompanying him, ”I believe, besides the routine physical training and firearm operation in our police training, we should focus more on cultivating investigative thinking.”

”I suggest organizing a provincial-wide practical training session this year to promote Jiangcheng’s advanced case-solving experience.”

Mr. Wang immediately responded, ”Mr. Qi’s suggestion is very timely.”

”There is indeed an urgent need among grassroots officers for new concepts and methods.”

He looked at Jiang An and said with a smile, ”I think it’s entirely possible to invite Jiang An to be the main speaker at the first training session.”

”His case-solving approach is worth learning and emulating across the province.”

Mr. Qi nodded approvingly, ”This proposal is excellent.”

”Jiang An, being young and capable with rich case-solving experience, is undoubtedly the most suitable candidate.”

Hearing this, Mr. Ma and Mr. Li exchanged a delighted glance.

They knew that this was not only an affirmation of Jiang An personally, but also an important opportunity to promote the Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team’s case-solving model across the province.

Thinking about the broader propagation of Jiangcheng’s experience, a proud smile appeared on both faces.

This was destined to be a significant highlight in the history of the Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team.

An hour later, Mr. Ma, Li Jian, Jiang An, and Wan walked out of the public security department’s main entrance, joy overflowing on each of their faces.

”Come on, let’s take a group photo!” Mr. Ma called.

The four of them stood on the steps in front of the public security department, Wan took out his phone, adjusting the angle.

A ”click” sounded, capturing the historic moment forever.

This was the first time in Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team’s history that they solved multiple cases in one go;

This was the first time a Jiangcheng detective was awarded a first-class merit;

And it was the first time the head of the provincial public security department personally awarded Jiangcheng detectives;

These three significant ”firsts” filled everyone’s hearts with indescribable excitement and pride.

Inside the car, Mr. Ma raised his hand to check his watch, the hands pointed exactly to eleven-thirty.

”Time for lunch!”

He said with a smile, ”Let’s go pay homage to our appetites and celebrate.”

”Great, great!”

Li Jian laughed heartily, ”Mr. Ma, what feast have you prepared for us today?”

”I’m treating today because I’m so happy!”

Mr. Ma waved his hand generously, ”Consider it a thank you for all your hard work.”

”Without you, how could our Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation achieve such brilliant results?”

”Really? Truly?”

Li Jian exaggeratedly widened his eyes, ”Then I won’t hold back.”

”There’s a new ’Rhino Seafood Buffet’ opened behind the public security department, I heard the ingredients are fresh and variety abundant, freshly made, should we give it a try?”

Mr. Ma suddenly lowered his head and smiled, ”Oh, Li Jian, waiting for me here!”

He then turned his head to look at Jiang An sitting at the back, ”However, today we will listen to our major contributor Jiang An. What would you like to eat?”

”Mr. Ma, I’m easy, not picky.” Jiang An smiled.

”Not picky, great!”

Mr. Ma sighed, ”Today I’m really happy, in my years overseeing Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation, we’ve never achieved such outstanding results.”

”Didn’t expect you to push it to greater heights! Let’s go, we’ll have the most luxurious buffet today!”

”Mr. Ma, that place isn’t cheap,” Li Jian reminded, ”It’s 280 per person.”

”What’s 280?” Mr. Ma magnanimously waved his hand. ”Even if it were 560, it’s worth it!”

”If you solve a few more major cases, making my name shine again, even a 1000 per person buffet is gladly accepted!”
