The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective

Chapter 575: Chapter 324: Opportunities and Challenges Coexist!

Mr. Wang glanced around the room, his gaze sweeping over everyone present, finally resting on Mr. Ma.

”Mr. Ma, let’s get straight to the point.”

Mr. Wang said directly, his voice steady and powerful.

Mr. Ma nodded slightly, his hands crossed on the conference table.

”Mr. Wang, please arrange as you see fit, we will fully cooperate.”

Mr. Wang paused and continued, ”Regarding the armored car robbery case, the leadership has always attached great importance to it.”

”The Director of the Public Security Department has repeatedly emphasized at work meetings the need to recover the stolen $100 million and bring the involved criminals to justice.”

The conference room fell silent, everyone listening intently.

Mr. Wang continued, ”Now, I want to focus on the specific deployment.”

Then, he opened the folder in front of him, looking resolutely at everyone present: ”The department has decided to use the discovery of the $100 million clue as a breakthrough, and immediately establish a special task force to reinvestigate the case.”

”Considering the breakthrough point in Jiangcheng City, the special task force will be centered around the Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau, fully responsible for the case investigation.”

Here, he purposely paused, looked around, and continued: ”After research, it was decided that Mr. Ma from Jiangcheng City Public Security Bureau will serve as the leader of the special task force, and I will be the deputy leader.”

”At the same time, we will draw on the most elite criminal investigation forces from the province to participate in the investigation.”

Mr. Wang turned and pointed to the officers behind him: ”These are seasoned detectives, each a battle-hardened elite. They will fully cooperate with the special task force.”

After speaking, he turned to Mr. Ma: ”Mr. Ma, do you have any opinions on this arrangement?”

Mr. Ma showed a humble smile, lightly waving his hands: ”Mr. Wang, you’re being too formal.”

”The arrangements from the superior Public Security office, we will resolutely implement.”

After a brief consideration, Mr. Ma said: ”Mr. Wang, regarding the leadership structure of the task force, I have a somewhat immature idea I’d like you to consider.”

”Oh? Please go ahead, Mr. Ma.”

Mr. Ma organized his thoughts and slowly said: ”Considering the particularity of this case, I suggest you personally lead the special task force, overseeing the overall coordination.”

”As for the deputy leader, I propose Jiang An, the deputy captain of Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation Team, to oversee the implementation of specific tasks.”

Instantly, the atmosphere in the room became nuanced.

Mr. Ma further added: ”Though Jiang An is the youngest leader in the criminal investigation team,”

”He is quick-minded, with novel and unique methods in handling cases.”

”The armored car robbery case desperately needs new breakthroughs now.”

”I believe Jiang An’s unique perspective in case handling can surely uncover key clues overlooked by us.”

On hearing this, Mr. Wang looked around the conference room.

He noticed the several veteran detectives behind him had graying hair, while Jiang An appeared to be in his early twenties.

Appointing such a young deputy leader definitely requires careful consideration.

He frowned unconsciously, tapping his fingers on the table, deep in thought.

Just as the room sank into temporary silence, Mr. Li cleared his throat and broke the tense atmosphere: ”Mr. Wang, we’ve known each other for a long time, so I’ll speak frankly.”

”I personally strongly agree with Mr. Ma’s proposal.”

Mr. Li glanced around, finally resting his gaze on Jiang An, ”Though Jiang An’s abilities may not be the most comprehensive, he indeed excels in case investigation.”

”I won’t hide from anyone, even as the criminal investigation team leader, I sometimes feel inferior compared to his case-solving strategies.”

”Making him deputy leader of the special task force is entirely based on practical needs for solving the case, aiming to find clues and breakthroughs better.”

Here, Mr. Li raised his voice intentionally: ”I trust everyone here will prioritize solving the case.”

”Any arrangement favorable to case progression will certainly have everyone’s full support and cooperation.”

Just as he finished, the veteran detectives behind Mr. Wang all nodded in agreement.

One of them, an old detective with graying temples, said emotionally: ”Mr. Wang, with regards to the whereabouts of the $100 million, if it weren’t for Mr. Jiang, we might still be looking for years without finding it.”

Another promptly chimed in: ”We resolutely follow the organizational arrangement, fully cooperating with Mr. Jiang’s work.”

Listening to these heartfelt speeches, Mr. Wang’s tense face gradually softened.

He nodded slightly, sweeping his gaze across everyone’s faces: ”Good, since everyone says so.”

”We prioritize solving the case, so it’s decided.”

Mr. Wang straightened up and declared in a firm voice: ”Now I officially announce the establishment of the ’Armored Car Robbery Case’ special task force.”

”I will serve as the leader, with Jiang An as the deputy leader.”

”I urge all colleagues to fully support Jiang An’s work, striving to find the breakthrough and bring the culprits to justice as soon as possible.”

The conference room instantly erupted in enthusiastic applause.

Everyone’s gaze turned unanimously to Jiang An — the youngest yet most imaginative detective present.

When the applause gradually subsided, Mr. Wang kindly said: ”Come, Jiang An, say a few words.”

Jiang An adjusted the microphone in front of him slightly nervously, but quickly returned to composure.

”First, I sincerely thank the superior Public Security leadership for their trust in Jiangcheng Criminal Investigation work, and especially thank Mr. Wang for recognizing me.”

Jiang An looked at everyone present.

”This case has been ongoing for a long time, countless seniors have given painstaking efforts earlier.”

”Their investigative methods and case-solving experience are worth our learning and referencing.”

Saying this, Jiang An’s eyes became sharp: ”Regarding case investigation, I have three thoughts.”

”First, the two cases are linked by the $100 million, and since the perpetrator came for the money, they must know its whereabouts.”

”We need to critically examine: Is he an eyewitness from back then? A participant? Or the main perpetrator?”

The conference room fell silent, everyone focused on noting down Jiang An’s speech.

He continued: ”Second, I suggest retrieving all archival materials of the armored car case from back then, including physical evidence, vehicle traces, and all descriptive evidence, for reexamination and analysis. Applying modern technical means might uncover new clues.”

”Third, we must conduct a thorough investigation of all circumstances before and after Zhao Jian’s departure for work, focusing on examining every person he contacted before and during employment, looking for suspicious individuals.”

Finally, Jiang An said in a grave voice: ”Mr. Wang, these are my initial thoughts, and I welcome criticism and correction from the leaders on any shortcomings.”

After expressing these three ideas, Mr. Ma and Mr. Li exchanged a glance.

At the point where their eyes met, they saw appreciation in each other’s eyes, subsequently nodding in tacit agreement.

Jiang An’s starting ideas were very clear, raising hopes for solving the case.

Upon hearing these three points, many attendees began to jot down notes, extending and expanding them.

Nodding repeatedly at the seemingly very young deputy leader of the task force, their eyes filled with admiration.

Not only them, even Mr. Wang was intrigued.

He clicked his tongue and said, ”Mr. Jiang, indeed you have extraordinary insight and unique perspectives.”

”Well said, very comprehensive, I completely agree.”

After a brief pause, Mr. Wang said: ”Comrades, the direction of the next phase of work will follow the three areas proposed by Jiang An.”

”Everyone present is a criminal investigation elite from the province, the vanguard in fighting and solving cases.”

”Please give your utmost to break this long-standing case.”
