Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven

Chapter 244: Reconstruction of DNA

Core Essence rolled out of Grey’s body like a tidal wave, and the nexus energy began to stir violently.

With the markings finalized, the loosened DNA structure became tight once more.

However, just as quickly, it started loosening again, because new information was about to arrive within the structure.

Like a fusion reactor blinking with light and revolving at high speed, the first marking was flooded with core essence until it could no longer take it and exploded.

Boom.

Like a mini star exploding into a supernova, the first marking collapsed, and immediately information, genetic algorithms, instructions, and completely new limits surged forth.

The DNA structure was collapsing under the sheer power of the new information appearing. This was not normal after all.

Just one genetic marking alone contained all sorts of biological information, and the DNA was constantly trying to rewrite its algorithms and reset its patterns to completely make space for the new data.

Chromosomes twisted violently, folding in on themselves as old sequences were torn apart and reassembled. Entire chains were discarded, rewritten, then fused again, their structures reforged to accommodate the impossible load now embedded within them.

Along the sides of the genetic chains, unfamiliar symbols began to surface.

Origin imprints!

Each imprint sank into the chromosome walls like an engraved law, stabilizing the rewritten structure while anchoring higher-order authority into his genetic framework.

What had once been simple human patterns were refined, compressed, and then elevated to new heights. Structural redundancies unique to humans vanished.

Latent pathways that were completely restrictive to humans resurfaced. The DNA finally locked into a new configuration, no longer resisting the information, but merging with it completely.

At the core of it all, something new condensed.

A special, yet unique construct that seemed foreign, yet fit perfectly in place.

It was an Anchor.

Born from the convergence of the origin imprint and the rewritten DNA structure, it was the anchor of a true source dragon.

The anchor did not react instantly, because at this moment there was an even greater transformation happening within Grey’s humanoid body. Only after that would it switch biological architecture and allow him to fully transform into a dragon.

Light flashed across his inner body for a split second, and everything began dissolving at an alarming rate.

Old human cells that had accompanied Grey for seventeen years collapsed one after another, as did the DNA structures within them. The mysterious power of core essence held his body together throughout the process.

They ruptured, disintegrated, and were stripped down to their most basic components before being swept away by the raging core essence.

New cells surged in immediately after the core essence destroyed the old ones.

They were smaller, denser, and tightly packed together. This was the sign of Primordial Human cells amplified by the cells of a true source dragon and gods, engineered for combat and survival.

Their regeneration speed was leagues above what he once possessed. A sharp cut from a sword would instantly heal.

The divine and true source dragon cellular frameworks interlocked with them, refining the structure of the cells further and enforcing purity.

Next, the core essence targeted the nervous system. The nerve fibers dissolved into simple luminous threads, no longer appearing biological or human.

Then they snapped apart one by one and reformed into something far more complex. The new system branched outward in layered pathways, overlapping instead of separating, conditioned for simultaneous processing.

Signals no longer traveled in a straight line for Grey. They arrived in bursts, allowing multiple thoughts, reactions, and decisions to be made at once.

This was the nervous system of a mystic human.

The following moment, his bones cracked.

With everything else undergoing transformation, his internal structure and bones could no longer remain unchanged.

The sound of bones breaking echoed loudly, and even Xia Qingyue, who had been observing closely, heard it.

Within seconds, his entire skeletal structure shattered, collapsing into radiant fragments before core essence surged forward with information from his DNA and began reforging it.

Silver-purple energy emerged from within the core essence, carrying a domineering might and a draconic presence.

The liquid-like energy began condensing and compressing rapidly, layering itself into scale-like bone structures. Each segment was engraved with microscopic patterns unique to true source origin dragons.

It did not stop there. The next target was his organs.

His heart stopped beating for a fraction of a moment. Then it collapsed like a star.

Boom.

The collapsed heart split apart, transforming into three purple crystalline cores. They rotated slowly inside his body, filtering essence and blood simultaneously while refining and removing impurities.

Broken veins were reforged as divine markings spread across them, and silver-purple blood surged into existence, flowing through newly reinforced pathways.

Each pulse from the cores sent waves of strength through his body, synchronizing organs, bones, and cells into a unified rhythm.

The power level he had reached now far surpassed anything before.

Even moving his hands slightly caused the air to distort and produce sonic booms.

That was the level he stood at now.

But it did not end there.

With the formation of the three crystalline cores, nexus energy surged like a tidal wave from the elixir fields below. Core essence drilled into the existing elixir fields and reconstructed them rapidly.

Then the core essence, together with the surge of nexus energy, traveled through the reconstructed energy pathways and reached the crystalline cores, specifically the center core.

Boom.

The instant core essence and nexus energy came into contact with it, the inner part of the core exploded as a vast space formed within.

Core essence reshaped, reconstructed, and polished the newly forged elixir field, then signaled the nexus energy.

It shot into the center of the newly opened elixir field, and Grey sensed it instantly.

He activated the Nexus Ascension Scripture.

The cosmic energy outside stirred in response, crashing down toward Grey with immense momentum.

The crystalline cores that appeared in the place of his heart had a built-in function of automatically converting the ambient cosmic energy of the atmosphere into the desired form and energy.

Its capabilities were no joke. It was far more efficient than the golden ratio cosmic energy diagram he had created before.

All it needed was to sense the energy utilized by its owner, namely nexus energy, to begin production.
